It's been 19 years since Farhan Akhtar's directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai released. The cult film has gone down in the history of Indian cinema as one of the best and well-made movies ever. A story about the friendship of three people played by Aamir Khan (Akash), Siddharth (Akshaye Khanna) and Saif Ali Khan (Sameer). Dil Chahta Hai is backed by an amazing supporting cast including Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia, Ayub Khan, Rajit Kapoor, Suchitra Pillai among others.

Today, on completing 19 years of the film, Farhan took to his Instagram page and shared a video showcasing a few best moments from Dil Chahta Hai. The video has sequences such as Akash getting punched by Shalini's fiance for lying, Sameer's phone call with his girlfriend at Akash's home. Akhtar also included the beautiful scene between Siddharth and Deepa at a beach in Goa along with Akash and Shalini travelling together to Australia.

The filmmaker-actor captioned the video stating, "#19YearsOfDCH. 19 years later, Akash, Sid aur Sameer dost the, hai aur hamesha rahenge.. Dil Chahta Hai has been bestowed with several accolades including National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. The film has amazing music by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and best songs which are hummed by people even now.
