Ratan Tata’s dream car Tata Nano didn’t receive the response it was expected to get from the buyers, however as the car is slowly vanishing from the Indian roads, people are realising that the compact car was ahead of its time. Tata Nano is referred to as Ratan Tata’s dream car because he wanted to fulfil the dream of an average Indian family to own a car with the Nano. Discontinued for a long time now, Tata Nano is the cheapest car launched in India till date. Ratan Tata has been using the electric version of Tata Nano and for quite some time, we have been hearing that the Tata Nano will soon return to the market in a new avatar. Tata Motors has not officially revealed any detail about the return of Tata Nano, however automobile enthusiasts have various ideas of how the new Tata Nano may look like. One such artist Naveen Aditiyaa has shared the design of Tata Nano as an off-road capable vehicle.

The Tata Nano designed by Naveen Aditiyaa gets a redesigned front fascia with LED headlight, DRLs and a massive light bar along with a roof rack. The artists used the original Tata Nano as base and a widebody kit and a lifted off-road suspension that gives it a SUV-like appeal. Along with it, the car also features chunky five-spoke alloy wheels with all-terrain tyres. The side of the Tata Nano has also been redesigned and turned into a two-door vehicle.

Tata Motors may likely bring back the Tata Nano in an electric avatar soon. Reports suggest that the company may utilise Tata Nano’s X3 platform to implement an EV drivetrain. In the last few months, Tata Motors has launched a range of electric cars in India and with the growing popularity of compact EVs in India, the Tata Nano EV can be expected to be a game changer.
