Rajya Sabha member and BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday said the party will lose the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls unless it sends the corrupt government officials behind bars and brings the black money to India.
The politician also cracked a whip on the Centre by raking up the ongoing feud that’s currently giving the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) a tough time. Swamy spoke to the media on the sidelines of the Youth Parliament programme at Nirma University.
He lambasted the two PMO officials PK Mishra and Bhaskar Khulbe, revenue secretary Hasmukh Adhia and CBI special director Rakesh Asthana for alleged wrongdoings.
“There is a gang of these four people in the Centre that wishes to save P Chidambaram at the behest of one minister. They are doing nothing in the interest of PM Narendra Modi-led government or the people of India. We, as party members, feel embarrassed while talking to people. How shall we able to campaign for our party for 2019 LS polls. If the corrupt remain in the government and not sent behind bars and the black money does not return to India, BJP may lose in next polls,” Swamy said. “I believe Narendra Modi is the best PM of India, but selection of several officials was incorrect,” Swamy added.
