As per the police, the victim is a doctor and works at the Sola civil hospital
A case of harassment was lodged with the Sola high court police station on Thursday by a 25-year-old doctor against her colleague. According to the complaint, the accused used to be in a relationship with her but after they broke up, he started stalking her and even threatened to kill her if she didn't continue the relationship with him.
As per the police, the victim is a doctor and works at the Sola civil hospital. She was in a relationship with another doctor, identified as Raj Soni, who is also employed at the same hospital. A couple of months ago, owing to some personal issues, they mutually agreed to end the relationship.
Initially, everything seemed to be normal between the two, but according to the woman's allegations, Soni started stalking her and forcing her to stay in the relationship. Despite being denied by the victim several times, the accused continued following her at public places and kept on sending messages to her on social media.
On Thursday, a complaint was lodged with the Sola police against the accused after he threatened to kill the victim as she had refused to get back with him. The accused even harassed her and abused her in public for rejecting him.
Inspector DH Gadhvi of Sola police station said, "They were in a live-in relationship a couple of months back. After their break-up, the victim shifted to another place.
However, the accused was not ready to accept his rejection and continued stalking her, despite being refused several times. We have taken the complaint and have started an investigation to nab the accused. Right now, the accused is absconding and the search for him is on."
