Gunjan Trivedi, a resident of Naroda has accused his employee Dhrumin Trivedi of cheating him of Rs 36 lakh
A businessman has filed a complaint with the Naroda police station after one of his employees and a distant relative cheated him of Rs 36 lakh. Incidentally, the businessman came to know of the cheating a few months ago but decided not to file a complaint after the accused promised to return the money.
According to the complaint, Gunjan Trivedi, a resident of Naroda has accused his employee Dhrumin Trivedi of cheating him of Rs 36 lakh. Dhrumin had been working with Gunjan who is a wholesale dealer of electronics in Naroda area. Gunjan sold his wares to small retailers on credit.
Between October-2018 and January-2019, Dhrumin collected the pending dues from the retailers amounting to Rs 42.83 lakh without the knowledge of Gunjan. On inquiry, Dhrumin promised to return the money and requested Gunjan not to file a complaint. Dhrumin however managed to return Rs 6 lakh. According to the complaint, he went incommunicado some days ago. Gunjan also found out that he was not at his home in Naroda and was out of reach.
Police inspector VR Chaundary said that they have registered a case and is on the lookout for Dhrumin. "As of now his family claims they have no idea about his whereabouts," said Chaudhary.
