On his third day of visit to poll bound Gujarat, BJP national chief Amit Shah met all Members of Parliament(MPs) from Gujarat and fixed their responsibilities to work in the areas where party did not get enough votes during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Shah also alerted them that if the MPs wished to get elected again, the time had arrived for them to start working in their territories. Shah met all the MPs of Gujarat at BJP’s state headquarter Shri Kamalam on Thursday.

A senior MP from Gujarat said, “This meeting was very important for all of us as our leader Amit Shah showed us the path to decide our victory for 2019 from now only. He advised us to help our party workers and leaders in our territory for assembly polls. In fact he gave us the responsibility of the areas where party’s performance had remained weak during last polls.”

Shah reportedly also asked MPs not to be selfish as their goals would be achieved only after they won the election. “Shah was of the opinion that everyone in the party should work rubbing shoulder to shoulder so BJP candidate wins the polls,” added the MP.

A woman MP from Gujarat said, “Amitbhai stressed on the hard work which is necessary for all. He was more inclined towards youth and women voters and his suggestion to us was to approach maximum youth and women. He also gave us responsibility to make Gujarat Gaurav Yatra a successful event in our concerned territories.”
