PAK 137/8 (20)
West Indies beat Pakistan by 7 wickets
WI 138/3 (14.5)
Match over
0.0 : Pakistan are firmly in the driver's seat right now as they've won the first two games in this 4-match T20I series. With some good all-round performances with everybody chipping in, especially the youngster Shadab Khan weaving his magic, they've got the momentum and rhythm on their side and today have a great opportunity to to clinch the series here in Port of Spain.
West Indies have been letdown quite a lot, with their batting in particular being the biggest culprit, but the bowling has shown several signs of improvement. Runs need to start flying off the bat today if they are to somehow stay alive in this series. They have the support of the crowd behind them and a strong performance today would give them a lot of confidence. Welcome for the 3rd T20I match and it promises to be a good one.
TOSS - PAKISTAN WIN THE TOSS AND ELECT TO HAVE A GO WITH THE BAT FIRST! Sarfraz Ahmed says that the pitch looks slow and that's why it's a good idea to bat first. He informs that they are unchanged. Carlos Brathwaite on the other hand anyway wanted to bowl first. He wants his side to fight hard in every department and emphasizes on their ground fielding which was shoddy last time. Informs that they have handed a T20I debut to Jason Mohammed, who comes in place of Rovman Powell.
Pakistan - Kamran Akmal, Ahmed Shehzad, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Fakhar Zaman, Sarfraz Ahmed(w/c), Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Sohail Tanvir, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali.
West Indies - Evin Lewis, Chadwick Walton(w), Marlon Samuels, Lendl Simmons, Kieron Pollard, Jason Mohammed, Carlos Brathwaite(c), Jason Holder, Sunil Narine, Samuel Badree, Kesrick Williams.
Pitch report - Same wicket is being used which was used in the last match. No grass whatsoever and it's weighted in favour of the spinners.
Time to play the game! It's bright and sunny at the moment but at the same time there are some clouds surrounding the stadium. Not looking threatening at the moment though.
West Indies get into a quick huddle with their skipper sharing some last minute thoughts. Out come the Pakistan openers, Ahmed Shehzad and Kamran Akmal. Samuel Badree, as usual, will go first with the ball. All set, here we go...
0.1 : S Badree to A Shehzad, FOUR! What a start for Pakistan! Badree gives a gift straightaway, a full toss on leg stump, Shehzad kneels and nails his sweep in front of square leg for a boundary.
0.2 : S Badree to A Shehzad, OUT! Bowled 'em! Samuel Badree gets his revenge immediately. Teases the batsman with his flight and serves it around middle, Shehzad advances down the track, probably trying to be too aggressive but gets beaten in air. He then tries to cover the line and defend it but the ball spins away just a shade to beat the outside edge and the goes on to shatter the timber. No need to return Shehzad, keep on walking to the pavilion.
Surprise, surprise!! Imad Wasim is the man to walk in at the No.3 spot for Pakistan. Interesting move, indicates that the visitors want some quick runs upfront.
0.3 : S Badree to I Wasim, Flighted and full outside off, it's pushed off the front foot to covers.
Stumping appeal. Referred upstairs...
0.4 : S Badree to I Wasim, OUT! STUMPED! Beautifully bowled googly. Landing full around middle and curling away, Wasim gets forward with a big stretch to flick on the leg side but is outfoxed by the variation. Walton is quick to gather the ball and break the stumps. They appeal and the square leg umpire goes upstairs. The replays show that it's touch and go. In fact after zooming in, it clearly shows that initially the back foot was on the line but then when he tries to push it back inside the cr
Babar Azam is the next man in.
0.5 : S Badree to B Azam, Too full first up to the new batsman, Babar forces it down to long on and gets off the mark with a run.
0.6 : S Badree to K Akmal, Gets on the front foot and defends it watchfully. What a start for West Indies!
Jason Holder will bowl from the other end.
1.1 : J Holder to B Azam, A touch short in length and around off, Azam stands back and turns it through backward square leg for a single.
1.2 : J Holder to K Akmal, Excellent delivery! Angles in a length ball on off, 130 kph, Akmal tries defending from the crease but it straightens a touch to beat the outside edge.
1.3 : J Holder to K Akmal, Serves it full and outside off, Akmal plays a good drive but finds the point fielder.
1.4 : J Holder to K Akmal, Back of a length ball on off, Kamran works it gently through mid-wicket and returns for the second run. Ian Bishop (on air) reckons that Holder should be bowling on a length on this pitch rather than on the shorter side.
Short fine leg moves to mid-wicket. A long leg in place.
1.5 : J Holder to K Akmal, FOUR! Holder doesn't learn and pays the price. Bowls it slightly short and wide outside off, Akmal latches onto it and smacks it through point for a powerful boundary.
1.6 : J Holder to K Akmal, Pushed to the cover region by the batsman. No run.
2.1 : S Badree to B Azam, Flighted full ball on leg, eased down through wide mid on for a single.

2.5 : S Badree to B Azam, Flighted and on off, fuller in length, driven down through mid off for a single.
2.6 : S Badree to K Akmal, Tossed up ball on middle, pushed off the front foot to the leg side but not in the gap.
Kesrick Williams is into the attack now.
3.1 : K Williams to B Azam, Uppish and just wide of mid-wicket. Good length ball on off, Azam works it across the line and it goes a bit aerially past the right side of the fielder inside the ring. Two runs added to the total.
3.2 : K Williams to B Azam, Lands it full and outside off, Babar plays a cracking square drive off the front foot but finds the cover-point fielder.
3.3 : K Williams to B Azam, On a length and just outside off, Babar punches it from the crease to covers.
3.4 : K Williams to B Azam, Fuller in length and around middle, Babar nudges it off his pads but it goes straight to Badree at short fine leg. Struggling to find the gap. In the last match too, he struggled and eventually succumbed under pressure.
3.5 : K Williams to B Azam, FOUR! That was uppish and for a moment Babar's heart would have been in his mouth. Williams drags his length short and serves it on off, Azam goes for the pull shot but fails to middle it properly. It's in the air and goes just over Pollard at mid-wicket for a boundary.
3.6 : K Williams to B Azam, Shout for an lbw! Good length ball on middle, nipping down, Babar fails to tuck it around and is rapped on the pads. They appeal but the umpire shakes his head. Going down.
Carlos Brathwaite to bowl now.
4.1 : C Brathwaite to K Akmal, Fuller in length outside off, Akmal slices his attempted cover drive to third man and takes a single.

4.5 : C Brathwaite to B Azam, Spears in a very full ball on off, Babar gets forward and drives it back to the bowler. Brathwaite collects it and threatens to throw at the batsman. The crowd gets excited.
4.6 : C Brathwaite to B Azam, FOUR! In full control this time, Azam. Carlos goes short around off, Babar rides the bounce and pulls it with authority over mid-wicket for a boundary.
Jason Holder is back into the attack.
5.1 : J Holder to K Akmal, Angling in on a back of a length, it goes off Akmal's thigh pad as he looks to work this across the line. Runs down to short fine leg as a leg bye is taken.
5.2 : J Holder to B Azam, Coming in on middle and leg, on a length, Babar Azam tucks it through to deep mid-wicket for a single.
5.3 : J Holder to K Akmal, SIX! WOW! He's really got under that one. Fuller length ball and it's right in his slot. Kamran gets well underneath and middles it with all his might. Sends it bang high, way high over the mid-wicket boundary for a maximum. What a hit!
5.4 : J Holder to K Akmal, Goes full this time, attacks the stumps, Kamran Akmal flicks it through the square leg region for a single.
5.5 : J Holder to B Azam, The batsman works it down the leg side. They pick up a single.
5.6 : J Holder to K Akmal, Stays perfectly behind the line to this one and defends it out with a straight blade. Good over this for Pakistan. 10 runs have come off it.
Samuel Badree comes back into the attack.
6.1 : S Badree to B Azam, That's gone right through and taken the batsman completely by surprise! Bowls the wrong 'un on middle, it's turns back in and sneaks between bat and pad into the keeper's gloves. Not too far from the leg pole.
6.2 : S Badree to B Azam, Full on middle and leg, Azam kneels across and paddles it aerially fine down the leg side. Two runs have been taken.
6.3 : S Badree to B Azam, Looped up leg spinner around off, easy enough for Babar Azam to lean ahead and ease it down to long off for a run.
6.4 : S Badree to K Akmal, Short, a bit flat and turning away from around off, Kamran goes back and cuts it straight to the man at backward point.
6.5 : S Badree to K Akmal, Beaten! This is some good leg spin bowling from Samuel Badree. Gives this a lot of revs as he loops it on a length on off, turns away and beats the outside edge of the bat as Kamran Akmal hangs it out to defend.
6.6 : S Badree to K Akmal, FOUR! That's put away. Too short and Akmal has put it away. Goes back and pulls it firmly through mid-wicket. Beats Jason Holder out in the deep who makes a sloppy attempt to stop it. Boundary to end the over.
It's time for Sunil Narine.
7.1 : S Narine to B Azam, Narine starts off with a full delivery which he darts outside off, Azam drives it to long off for a single.
7.2 : S Narine to K Akmal, Full and flat on leg, Kamran gets low and sweeps it towards fine leg. Runs had and has no second thoughts about coming back for the second. The throw from the deep is good but just a little bit wide of the stumps which allows Akmal to get back in comfortably. Two taken.
7.3 : S Narine to K Akmal, Swept again to the same region but will only get a single this time.
7.4 : S Narine to B Azam, Works it away on the leg side, a flick to fine leg for a run. It brings up the 50 for Pakistan.
50-run stand between Kamran Akmal and Babar Azam!
7.5 : S Narine to K Akmal, Good, alert running from the batting pair. Kamran Akmal drops it in front of covers and calls for the run quickly. His partner responds and it is completed with ease.
7.6 : S Narine to B Azam, FOUR! Big mix-up there! What has happened here? So, so poor from the two men out in the deep. Babar Azam flicks this flatter ball through square leg. Jason Holder and Evin Lewis in the deep come running towards the ball but leave it thinking the other one will take it. It goes right through them and across the rope.
8.1 : S Badree to K Akmal, Full and follows the batsman down the leg side, Akmal tries sweeping but fails to connect. It goes off his pads to short fine leg. Smart from Badree.
8.2 : S Badree to K Akmal, Shortish and pulled down to wide long on for a run.
8.3 : S Badree to B Azam, Googly around middle, Azam gets across the stumps and nudges it behind square leg for a run.
8.4 : S Badree to K Akmal, Tossed up ball on leg, too full in length, Akmal connects with his attempted sweep shot this time and sends it to deep backward square leg for a single.
8.5 : S Badree to B Azam, On the shorter side around off, it's punched off the back foot to the cover fielder.
8.6 : S Badree to B Azam, Loopy full ball on off, Azam tries to flick but it spins away a bit to catch the leading edge. It rolls straight to point. Dot ball to end Badree's spell, 4-0-22-2! Another impressive stuff from the number 3 ranked T20I bowler.
9.1 : S Narine to K Akmal, Pushed quicker through the air on middle and leg, Akmal with a slog sweep over mid-wicket. Isn't in the gap though as the fielder in the deep collects it on a couple of bounces. One run is taken by the batsmen.
9.2 : S Narine to B Azam, No spin on this occasion, worked away behind square on the leg side for a single.
9.3 : S Narine to K Akmal, Good work out in the deep by Jason Mohammed. Kamran cuts this shorter ball away towards sweeper cover. Mohammed out there makes a good run to his right and dives to keep the ball just inside the rope. Saves two vital runs for his side.
9.4 : S Narine to K Akmal, SIX! BANG! That's outta here, and he hasn't even exactly middled that one. Tossed up on middle and leg, Kamran Akmal kneels down and slog sweeps it over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie. Seems like it went off the top edge, but he hit it with some real power so it didn't matter.
9.5 : S Narine to K Akmal, Short and flat outside off, Akmal misses his cut shot.
9.6 : S Narine to K Akmal, FOUR! Connects this time. Stays back, waits for it and cuts it past backward point to send it all the way for a boundary.
Kesrick Williams is back on.
10.1 : K Williams to B Azam, Length ball on off, walks across to this one and clips it away in front of square for a single.
10.2 : K Williams to K Akmal, ALMOST A RUN OUT! Kamran Akmal cuts this away down towards short third man. Babar sets off quickly but his partner is ball watching. Responds quite late but has no choice now but to go for it. A shoddy throw from Sunil Narine aids his cause though and he avoid getting run out.
10.3 : K Williams to B Azam, A bit too straight from Williams as he hurls it on a length on the pads, flicked away by Azam to deep square leg for one.
10.4 : K Williams to K Akmal, Wide! Short and very wide outside off, no problem for the umpire to signal it as wide.
K Williams to K Akmal, Four Leg Byes! Poor line from Kesrick, once again slips it a bit down, Akmal gets it off the thigh pad as he tries to flick it and it flies past the keeper. Races away to the fine leg boundary,
10.5 : K Williams to K Akmal, Outside off, just ahead of a good length, drops this in front of point and hares to the other end to complete the run.
10.6 : K Williams to B Azam, Shaping back in a bit, Babar Azam picks the gap in the mid-wicket area nicely and that enables him to take a comfortable single.
Carlos Brathwaite is back on.
11.1 : C Brathwaite to B Azam, Too full in length on off, it's forced down to long on for a single.
11.2 : C Brathwaite to K Akmal, Once again it's very full and on middle, knocked down towards long on for one.
11.3 : C Brathwaite to B Azam, Lovely bowling, hitting the length very full and landing on middle, not offering much width to work with, Babar does well to keep it out to long on for a single.
11.4 : C Brathwaite to K Akmal, On a length around middle, worked to mid-wicket for a single.
11.5 : C Brathwaite to B Azam, The batsman has played it towards mid-wicket. They pick up a single.
11.6 : C Brathwaite to K Akmal, Fullish and outside off, driven through covers for one.
Marlon Samuels will roll his arm now. A wicket for West Indies here would be quite useful.
12.1 : M Samuels to K Akmal, OUT! Can you believe it? Samuels bowls a gentle loosener, a high full toss outside off, Akmal's eyes lit up as he tries to send it out of Port of Spain. Swings his bat powerfully but fails to generate enough power behind the shot. Simmons at deep mid-wicket takes a great catch near the fence. The umpires check for the waist high full toss but it's just fine. Akmal departs with a forlorn face.
0.0 : Shoaib Malik is the next batsman in.
12.2 : M Samuels to S Malik, Fuller and on middle, Malik drives it back to the bowler.
12.3 : M Samuels to S Malik, Slower off spinner landing outside off, Shoaib gets back and pushes it with an angled bat to point.
12.4 : M Samuels to S Malik, Fuller and on off, pushed back to the bowler again.
12.5 : M Samuels to S Malik, Quicker and full on off, Malik keeps it on the leg side, Samuels runs across to his right to stop the ball.
12.6 : M Samuels to S Malik, Too full and on off, Malik drives it through extra cover and is off the mark.
13.1 : C Brathwaite to S Malik, Nearly a stunner by Brathwaite! Full length ball angling into the batsman, Malik moves back and punches it back. It's aerial and to the left side of the bowler. Carlos dives but fails to pouch it. He immediately recovers from the dive and scores a direct hit at the bowler's end as the non-striker was backing up too much. The third umpire is referred and the replays find Babar Azam safely inside the crease. It's all happening out there as Bill Lawry would have said.
13.2 : C Brathwaite to S Malik, Walks down the track and forces it through covers for a run.
13.3 : C Brathwaite to B Azam, Length ball angling into the batsman, Babar gets down the track and tries to flick but misses. It goes off his pads and they take a leg bye.
13.4 : C Brathwaite to S Malik, OUT! Malik holes out! West Indies once again are having the upper hand. Brathwaite angles in a length ball on middle, Malik leans forward and across to flick it on the leg side but fails to keep it down. It flies over backward square leg and Evin Lewis in the deep takes a fine catch over his head. Big setback for Pakistan.
Fakhar Zaman is the new man out in the middle.
13.5 : C Brathwaite to F Zaman, A well-directed short ball on off, Zaman tries to pull but misses and takes a gentle blow on his helmet.
13.6 : C Brathwaite to F Zaman, Fullish and on middle, Zaman eases it down to the left side of the mid off fielder and sets off for a single. Completes it safely and gets off the mark.
14.1 : M Samuels to F Zaman, Flighted ball on off, spinning away, Fakhar drives it through covers for a single.
14.2 : M Samuels to B Azam, Loopy full ball on middle, Azam flicks it through backward square leg for a run.
14.3 : M Samuels to F Zaman, SIX! Out of here! The young man showcasing his hitting prowess. Floated off spinner on off, Zaman slogs it against the spin, gives it the full monty and sends it packing over long on for a biggie. He got out playing a similar shot in his debut match but today he has perfected it.
14.4 : M Samuels to F Zaman, Flatter and outside off, Zaman taps it down towards backward point for one.
14.5 : M Samuels to B Azam, The batsman works it down the leg side. One run added to the total.
14.6 : M Samuels to F Zaman, Spinning away from the batsman, Zaman tries slogging but misses.
Sunil Narine is back on.
15.1 : S Narine to B Azam, Short and flat, pulled to deep mid-wicket for a single.
15.2 : S Narine to F Zaman, Similar ball, this time Zaman works it away on the leg side with soft hands for a comfortable run.
15.3 : S Narine to B Azam, Wide! Going down the leg side, Babar looks to hit it away on the leg side but misses. Wide called.
S Narine to B Azam, SIX! Right off the middle of the bat. What a hit from Babar Azam! Full and quick on the stumps, he adjusts, gets behind the line and hammers it over the wide long on fence for a maximum. Jason Holder can only be a mere spectator to this event near the fence.
15.4 : S Narine to B Azam, OUT! Needless risk from Babar Azam sees him walking back. His team needed him to stay out there till the end but he's departed once more. This aspect of his game has been criticized before, that he needs to see the innings through more. Fails to do so here again. Walks across to this flat delivery, kneels down to scoop but misses and it rocks the timber. He's out of here and that's the end of a good knock.
Sarfraz Ahmed is the new batsman.
15.5 : S Narine to S Ahmed, Is off the mark right away. Sarfraz sweeps it away through to deep backward square leg for a single.
15.6 : S Narine to F Zaman, Coming in on middle and off, takes the inside edge of Zaman's bat and goes past the leg pole.
Kesrick Williams is back on.
16.1 : K Williams to S Ahmed, Length delivery outside off, Sarfraz looks to put bat on ball but fails to connects as he's beaten by the lack of pace. The keeper behind though cannot collect it cleanly which allows the batsmen to take a bye.
16.2 : K Williams to F Zaman, Short and wide outside off, Fakhar cuts it away through point for a run.
16.3 : K Williams to S Ahmed, Slower one again, on a good length, Sarfraz pushes it to the cover region for one more.
16.4 : K Williams to F Zaman, Leans ahead to this fuller length ball and knocks it down to long off for a run.
16.5 : K Williams to S Ahmed, On the shorter side of things, outside off, Ahmed backs away and hits it away square on the off side. Picks up one more for doing so.
16.6 : K Williams to F Zaman, Good over this from Williams. Just 6 runs off it. This is excellent bowling at the death. Zaman can only work this through mid-wicket for a single.
Jason Holder is back on to bowl at the death.
17.1 : J Holder to F Zaman, Good running. From around the wicket Holder fires a full toss on the stumps, Fakhar smacks it through the covers. Runs hard and comes for the second as well. Nicely done.
0.0 : Appeal for a run out! Referred upstairs. Has Holder broken the stumps without the ball in his hands? Let's see...
17.2 : J Holder to F Zaman, OUT! It's a run out! Back of a length angled across, Fakhar Zaman looks to work it away on the off side with an angled bat. He gets a bottom edge behind as Walton charges to the ball. Seeing Sarfraz Ahmed come a considerable way down the track, he throws it to Holder who initially seems to have lost the ball out of his hands while knocking the bails over. The umpires though check upstairs to be sure and replays show that Jason Holder has the ball in his hands while af
Wahab Riaz arrives. He batted extremely well the other day and eventually his runs proved to be the differential factor. Can he deliver again?
17.3 : J Holder to F Zaman, Full toss on off, Zaman drills it back down but it's straight to the mid off fielder.
17.4 : J Holder to W Riaz, In the air but it's short. Short and wide outside off, Wahab cuts it aerially towards backward point. Falls just short of the diving fielder there and a single is taken.
17.5 : J Holder to F Zaman, Outside off on a good length, looks to hit it away but misses.
17.6 : J Holder to F Zaman, The batsman plays a sweep shot. They pick up a single.
18.1 : K Williams to F Zaman, That's hiiiiiiiiggggghhh in the air.... But it still falls safely somehow. Fullish length delivery on middle and leg, Fakhar Zaman goes for the big slog but ends up getting a big, big top edge. It balloons towards third man where Sunil Narine cannot get to it in time. A double is taken.
18.2 : K Williams to F Zaman, Slower length ball on middle and leg, a cutter at 112 kph, Zaman looks to slog but gets it off the glove on the thigh pad. The umpire missed that it seems as he signals it as a leg bye.
18.3 : K Williams to W Riaz, OUT! Fantastic catch from Kieron Pollard! Typical of him, really. It's short and around off, Wahab Riaz pulls it over mid-wicket. Doesn't middle it and this gives Pollard the opportunity to shine. He comes running to his right from wide long on and dives to collect it in his safe hands. Another wicket down for the away team.
Sohail Tanvir is in next.
18.4 : K Williams to F Zaman, Another great effort out in the deep, this time it's from the skipper Brathwaite itself. Zaman picks up the slower one outside off and then drags it through mid-wicket. Carlos out in the deep runs to his left and dives at full stretch to stop it. Lovely effort. The batsmen only take two.
18.5 : K Williams to F Zaman, Angles across a length delivery, Fakhar backs away and looks to clear the infield over the covers but fails to make contact.
18.6 : K Williams to F Zaman, Another play and a miss! This time attempts to swing it across the line but cannot connect. Only 5 off the over. Fab spell by Kesrick, 4-0-21-1!
Run out appeal...
19.1 : J Holder to S Tanvir, OUT! He's run out! Length delivery around off, Tanvir punches it to covers. Zaman takes off, but has to track back now. The throw comes in from Narine, Holder gets back and takes the bails off. It goes to the TV umpire and the replays show Fakhar is gone.
Shadab Khan is in next.
19.2 : J Holder to S Tanvir, The batsman has played that off the front foot and into the ground.
19.3 : J Holder to S Tanvir, Outside off, Tanvir swings and gets an edge down to third man for a single.
19.4 : J Holder to S Khan, Swerving back into the batsman, it's turned through square leg for one run.
19.5 : J Holder to S Tanvir, Low full toss, dipping in and moving in the air, Sohail Tanvir gets it off the inside edge behind square on the leg side and takes a run for it.
19.6 : J Holder to S Khan, Full delivery attacking the stumps, Shadab Khan lofts it down towards long on for a couple of runs. PAKISTAN FINISH ON 137/8!
West Indies will be immensely pleased with their effort on the field today! They got off to a fantastic start when Samuel Badree picked a couple of wickets in the very first over. The 88-run stand between Babar Azam and Kamran Akmal steadied the ship for Pakistan but once the partnership was broken, it was a procession.
The lower middle order of Pakistan failed to accelerate against some tidy bowling and effective fielding by the home team. All the West Indian bowlers impressed with the exception of Sunil Narine who was on the expensive side.
Can West Indies chase down 137? The other day they fell short of the target by 3 runs while chasing 132. It's now over to the batting department which has disappointed so far in the series. Pakistan's spinners will be hot to handle on this slowish pitch. Going to be a riveting second half. Do join us in a short while.
0.0 : We are back for the chase. Evin Lewis and Chadwick Walton are the two openers for the Windies. Imad Wasim will kick things off with the ball for the Men in Green. Here we go...
0.1 : I Wasim to E Lewis, From around the wicket, Wasim attacks the stumps without wasting any time. Bowls it flat and on a length as Lewis goes back to push it back down the track.
0.2 : I Wasim to E Lewis, Short and wide outside off, cut away to point off the back foot towards point.
0.3 : I Wasim to E Lewis, Fullish in length from Imad, it's played back to him by the southpaw.
0.4 : I Wasim to E Lewis, Short and flat, going slightly down leg, goes off Lewis' pads as he goes for the big pull. A leg bye is taken.
0.5 : I Wasim to C Walton, Full and darted flat on middle and off, Walton with the full face of the bat pushes it back to the bowler by leaning ahead.
0.6 : I Wasim to C Walton, First runs of the bat for West Indies. Walton eases this down to long on for a single. Good first over from Imad Wasim. Just 2 runs off it.
Sohail Tanvir will bowl from the other end.
1.1 : S Tanvir to C Walton, Back of a length delivery going across, Chadwick Walton stands tall, looks to cut but gets an inside edge onto his pads. No run taken.
1.2 : S Tanvir to C Walton, OUT! Tanvir strikes instantly! Not a great delivery though from Tanvir, he fires it fuller on the pads, Walton flicks it aerially over square leg. Fakhar Zaman out in the deep comes running in and dives forward to pouch it in both his hands. This dismissal is similar to how Shoaib Malik got out earlier in the first innings. Zaman did well to time the dive and take the catch. Pakistan off to a good start.
Marlon Samuels is the next man in.
1.3 : S Tanvir to E Lewis, Tailing back in on middle and leg, worked away on the leg side for a single.
1.4 : S Tanvir to M Samuels, Good, tight line from Tanvir. He hurls this on a length aiming the top of off stump, doesn't give Samuels any room to do anything but defend.
1.5 : S Tanvir to M Samuels, FOUR! Poor ball and that's dispatched. He'll feast on them all day. Full on the pads, Marlon flicks it in front of square easily. There's a huge gap there and the ball races away to the fence for a boundary.
1.6 : S Tanvir to M Samuels, Outside off, on a back of a length, Samuels taps it in front of covers. Lewis wants the run but is sent back. Would have been safe even if the shy at the bowler's end hit.
2.1 : I Wasim to E Lewis, Flat, short and outside off, Evin backs away and punches it away to cover-point for nothing.
2.2 : I Wasim to E Lewis, On the shorter side of things, this time Lewis offers a back foot punch to mid off.
2.3 : I Wasim to E Lewis, Just back of a length, around off, Evin Lewis once again stays back to cut it hard but is beaten past the outside edge.
