Match over
2.2 : 2.2: M Starc to Hafeez, FOUR! Not in full control at all, but he gets a boundary for it. Shaping away from a back of a length around off, Hafeez gets it off the outer half and past the diving gully fielder to find the fence.
2.6 : 2.6: M Starc to Hafeez, OUT! That's just stuck! Wow. What a catch. Superb stuff from Marnus Labuschagne. Australia strike early. Starc bowls this full on the pads, Hafeez flicks this aerially and it's hit hard. Labuschagne, however, positioned there reacts quickly as the ball is hit to him. It bounces off his right knee, then goes off the inside of his left knee and he manages to gobble it up falling down before the ball touches the ground. Replays confirm the same. Very well done.
6.1 : 6.1: M Starc to F Zaman, FOUR! SHOT! Cracking straight drive by Zaman. Very full ball attacking the stumps. Starc looking for some non-existent swing. Zaman punches it straight for a sweet boundary.
8.1: M Starc to Zaman, FOUR! Super cut! A fractionally short and wide of off. Zaman pounces onto it and upper cuts it over the gully and point region for a smashing boundary.
8.6 : 8.6: M Starc to Ali, FOUR! Wrong line and a delicate touch. Starc dishes this full lnegth ball on Ali's pads. Azhar just delicately glances it fine onto the leg side for a boundary.
9.1 : 9.1: P Siddle to Zaman, FOUR! Stand and deliver. Zaman stands tall to this short of a length ball just outside off and slashes it hard. The ball takes the thick outside edge to fly over the slips cordon for a boundary. Good counter-attacking batting by the southpaw this.
11.3 : 11.3: P Siddle to Ali, FOUR! Classy! Just marginally shorter of a good length and a bit outside off. Azhar opens his bat face perfectly and gets superb timing on it as it races through the backward point region for a sweet boundary for Ali.
19.5 : 19.5: Lyon to Ali, OUT! GONE! Caught and bowled. Lyon strikes and brings an end to Azhar Ali's stay in the middle. Soft dismissal, really. Short, flat and spinning in from outside off, Azhar Ali goes back and punches it uppishly right back to the bowler. It goes off the inside half and Lyon takes a simple catch. With this wicket, Lyon becomes the 5th highest wicket-taker for Australia in Tests.
19.6 : 19.6: N Lyon to Sohail, OUT! Two in two for Nathan Lyon! The turning point of the game? The momentum is surely in Australia's favour now. Switches to around the wicket and tosses the off break around off, Sohail comes forward to push it away and he can't keep it down. Hands a sharp catch to Travis Head at silly point, who takes it well. This is a big wicket for the tourists.
21.2 : 21.2: N Lyon to Shafiq, OUT! There's a spike on Ultra Edge and the on-field call has to be overturned. Lyon on fire here. He tosses this up on middle and off, it turns in as Shafiq looks to defend off the front foot. It goes off the pad and Labuschagne at short leg takes it. The Australians think there's an inside edge as well and they appeal. Umpire S Ravi is unmoved. So, the DRS has been taken and it goes to the third umpire. Replays show there is indeed an edge and Asad has to walk back.
21.4 : 21.4: Lyon to B Azam, OUT! Oh dear! What is happening here? Nathan Lyon has already bagged a 4-fer and he's not even finished 5 overs yet. Absolutely unbelievable what's going on here. A poor shot by Babar as well to be honest. Lyon loops it up outside off, Azam comes out to play the expansive drive and leaves a big gap between bat and pad. It goes right through the gate and disturbs the furniture behind. Pakistan are in a real slump now. Lyon now is the 4th highest wicket-taker for Australia in
25.5 : 25.5: N Lyon to Zaman, FOUR! That will relieve a little bit of pressure. Short and wide outside off, Zaman camps back and cracks it through the covers for a boundary.
26.2 : 26.2: Jon Holland to Zaman, FOUR! Shot! Short again outside off this time, Zaman showing some good form as he rocks back quickly to punch it hard through the cover-point region for a cracking boundary. Good counter-attack by Zaman.
26.6 : 26.6: Jon Holland to Zaman, FOUR! Cracked! The last ball before the break is also not spared by this attacking southpaw. He will score every opportunity he gets. Rocks back and across to this shorter delivery outside off. Zaman punches it hard through the cover region and the man in the deep has no chance to stop it. That's LUNCH ON DAY 1!
29.2 : 29.2: N Lyon to Ahmed, FOUR! Similar ball, similar shot attemped and this time he gets it bang on. Dances doewn the track, reaches to the pitch of the ball and whacks it over mid-wicket for a handsome boundary.
30.1 : 30.1: P Siddle to Ahmed, FOUR! Deft touch! Fires a short of a good length ball outside off. Sarfraz keeps his eyes on the ball till the very end, opens his bat face and glides it through the gully region for a boundary. Smart batting by the Pakistan skipper.
30.2 : 30.2: P Siddle to Ahmed, FOUR! Two in two. Siddle errs in line this time and dishes out this incoming delivery down the leg side. Sarfraz manages to get a nudge onto it as the nut races down fine onto the leg side for a second boundary in a row.
30.4 : 30.4: P Siddle to S Ahmed, FOUR! Streaky boundary! Third off the over and Pakistan won't mind how they come as long as they come. This is turning out to be a good over for the hosts. Siddle is a bit unlucky here though as he dishes out a good length ball outside off. Sarfraz goes to play at it but gets a thick outside edge down to the third man boundary for the third boundary of the over.
34.6 : 34.6: P Siddle to F Zaman, FOUR! Whack! Watta drive! A full pitch ball around off this by Siddle. Looking for some purchase off the surface but there ain't any for the pacer. Zaman leans forward and drives superbly through covers for a wonderful boundary.
36.4 : 36.4: M Starc to Zaman, FOUR! Hammered! You cannot bowl there to this left-hander. He will smack you each time. A bit short this outside off. Zaman takes full toll of it as he cracks it through covers off the back foot for a superb boundary.
42.1 : 42.1: Jon Holland to S Ahmed, FOUR! What a way to bring your 15th Test fifty. Superb knock from Sarfraz Ahmed. He'll want to make a big one here. Short and wide, he backs away and cuts this past backward point to fine the fence.
47.6 : 47.6: N Lyon to Ahmed, FOUR! Sarfraz gives the charge and gets the desired result. Dances down, gets close to the pitch and hammers it aerially past mid on for a boundary.
55.6: M Labuschagne to Ahmed, FOUR! Well played. Patiently waits for the ball to come to him, backs away and cuts it late down and across the third man fence for a boundary.
56.2 : 56.2: Holland to Zaman, SIX! First one of the Test. Signs of real aggression from Fakhar after keeping quiet for a while. Sees the flight on the ball so decides to charge out. Gets close to the pitch and smokes it straight back over the bowler's head for a maximum.
58.4 : 58.4: M Labuschagne to Zaman, OUT! Three reds and Fakhar Zaman is out of here. Finally, Tim Paine shakes things up and gets a wicket as a result. The southpaw misses out on his ton and the 147-run partnership is broken. Labuschagne loops up a leg break on middle, it turns ever so slightly and that's enough to beat the inside edge. He's caught on the front pad and a loud shout goes up. The umpire raises his finger but this time Zaman opts for the review. Replays roll in and show he's gone for all
60.4: M Labuschagne to Asif, FOUR! Smashed over mid-wicket by the Pakistan skipper. Sarfraz goes back to this slower and shorter delivery on off. He pulls this handsomely over mid-wicket for a lovely boundary. Good batting this, putting pressure on the spinner.
64.3 : 64.3: M Labuschagne to Asif, OUT! Watta leg-break! That is Shane Warneesque here by Labuschagne. He floats this one a bit more and lands it around off on a fuller length. Asif comes forward looking to play it with a tentative push. The ball lands and spins to take a very faint edge which is taken wonderfully by Paine. The leggie doing the job for the tourirts. They are back in the match with a bang.
64.6 : 64.6: M Labuschagne to Y Shah, FOUR! Superb cover drive from the Pakistan leggie. He gets to the pitch of this full and slower delivery on off. Leans down and drives this crisply through covers to get off the mark.
72.6: M Labuschagne to Ahmed, OUT! Lucky this time though! A bit of a rash stroke from Sarfraz but he had to go for it with the lower order on the other end. Tries to whack this tossed up ball on off over the mid off fielder. However, gets the outer half of the bat as the ball goes in the air towards Siddle at mid off. Peter fumbles it a couple of times but grabs it on the third attempt. The make shift leg spinner is now the leading wicket taker in this innings with three dismissals to his name.
74.3 : 74.3: M Labuschagne to Shah, FOUR! Drags it short. Was trying a quicker one may be and errs in length. Yasir Shah gets quickly onto it by rocking back and pulling it through the deep square leg region for a smashing boundary.
74.4 : 74.4: M Labuschagne to Shah, SIX! WHACK! Flighted ball on off this. Yasir in super attacking mode now as he gets under this one and smacks it straight over the long off fielder for a huge maximum. Very important runs these for Pakistan.
75.2 : 75.2: M Marsh to Shah, FOUR! Shah making some quick and useful runs here. Pakistan have crossed 260. Short of a length on the stumps, Yasir pulls it hard in front of square leg and finds the fence.
75.3 : 75.3: Marsh to Y Shah, OUT! Bowled 'em! Terrific delivery from Mitchell Marsh. Timely blow for Australia. That tried and tested yorker from Marsh. Fires it on leg stump and Shah can't do anything about it. Looks to flick but it goes off his pads and crashes into the stumps behind. He'd have liked to do more, but Yasir has done his job here.
78.5 : 78.5: N Lyon to Abbas, SIX! That's a meaty blow! A lot of loop on this as Lyon lands it full outside off, Abbas reaches out to it and launches it over long on for a biggie.
80.6 : 80.6: Starc to Abbas, OUT! TIMBER! That seals the deal for Australia. Starc comes charging in and arrows an inswinging yorker on middle, Abbas has no chance of doing anything about it as the stumps are disturbed. PAKISTAN ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 282!
2.5 : 2.5: M Abbas to Finch, FOUR! Nudged very fine onto the leg side for the first boundary of the innings. Abbas errs in line and fires this down the leg side. Finch does well to get some bat on it and to tickle it fine through the leg side to cross the rope there.
3.6 : 3.6: Y Shah to Finch, FOUR! That's smashed away. Tossed up right in the slot, Finch stands his ground and lofts it powerfully over mid off for a boundary.
4.2 : 4.2: M Abbas to Khawaja, OUT! Pakistan have drawn first blood. A bit lucky but this but a really good grab by the Pakistan captain. The hero from the last match has to walk back to the pavilion. Abbas keeps it on a good length on middle and leg and angling into the batsman. The southpaw looks to flick it but the ball take the faintest of nicks and flies behind down the leg side. Sarfraz dives to his right full stretched and pouches this low and one handed. The umpires wants to check if the catch
6.6 : 6.6: Abbas to Siddle, OUT! Abbas strikes on the very last ball of the day. What a brilliant way to end the day for Pakistan. Abbas dishes this on a good length around off, Siddle again looks to block this off from within his crease. The ball hits the deck and deviates into the batsman. It beats Siddle's tentative push on the inside and raps him flush on the pads in front of the stumps. It's very close as Pakistan go up in a huge appeal. Surprisingly, the umpire turns it down. Sarfraz does not wa
7.2 : 7.2: Mir Hamza to Finch, FOUR! Shot. Too good. Full and well outside off, Finch has room to work with so he strides forward and drives this on the up through the covers for a boundary.
8.2: M Abbas to Finch, FOUR! Beautiful. Holding the pose for the cameras too. Full in length and outside off, Aaron Finch leans into the drive and caresses it through the gap in the covers to find the fence.
9.4 : 9.4: Mir Hamza to Finch, FOUR! Third one of the morning from Finch. He's nailing those cover drives to perfection. Leans into the full ball and finds the gap through the covers with ease.
10.6 : 10.6: M Abbas to S Marsh, OUT! Edged and taken! Shaun Marsh's short stay in the middle comes to an end. It's Mohammad Abbas again who provides the breakthrough for his side. Lands it on off, it moves away ever so late and this becomes Shaun Marsh's undoing. The ball takes the outside edge of his hanging bat and flies to first slip, where Haris Sohail moves to his right and pouches it safely.
17.1 : 17.1: Y Shah to Head, FOUR! Down the track and bang! Head trying to counter attack and does well. Skips dow the track to this flighted ball in line with the stumps. Gets nicely uder it to whack it over mid-wicket for his first boundary.
18.1: M Abbas to T Head, OUT! Edged and taken at second slip! Fantastic stuff from Abbas. This bowler is taken large srides as he gets his second wicket of the day. Keeps it on a good length around of with the natural away angle from over the wicket. Head has to play at it because of the initial line but the ball lands and nips away. Takes the outside edge which flies to Asad Shafiq at second dlip who accepts it gleefulyy. 4 down now.
19.5 : 19.5: Y Shah to Marsh, FOUR! That rare loosener. Short and wide, Marsh rocks back and cuts it through point to send it across the boundary line.
20.5: M Abbas to Marsh, FOUR! Boom! Finch is nailing these cover drives, that too on the up. A length ball just outside off this, Finch plants his front foot ahead and dives through the line. The timing and placement is good enough to earn him a boundary.
27.2 : 27.2: Y Shah to M Marsh, OUT! Wow! Lovely, lovely leg spin bowling. Deserves this YS for his consistency and patience. Gives this one air and keeps it full around off. Marsh lunges forward looking to block it out, the ball hits the deck and turns a bit more than he expected. takes the outside edge and flies to Asad Shafiq at first slip who takes a good catch. Marsh's stay at the crease comes to an end. Shah is off and running.
30.6 : 30.6: B Asif to Finch, OUT! Makes an impact in his very first over of the innings! Bilal Asif has got Aaron Finch. Pakistan on top of the tourirts as their sixth one goes. Asif lands this full and a bit outside off. Finch comes forward to defend it, is a bit lazy as he hangs his bat in front of his pad. The ball spins in sharply, takes the inside egde onto the pads and balloons up to the right of the short leg fielder. Fakhar Zaman position there takes a nice catch diving to his left. Big big jo
34.4 : 34.4: B Asif to Paine, OUT! Umpire's call as it is just about clipping the leg stump. End of a magnificent session for Pakistan. It is a bit quicker and flatter around off, Paine decides to go back and that proves to be his biggest error as the ball lands and spins in prodigiously. Tim looking to block it off the back foot is beaten on the inside and rapped on the pad in front of the stumps. The hosts go up in a big appeal and the umpire raises his finger after thinking for a couple of seconds.
35.2 : 35.2: Y Shah to Labuschagne, FOUR! Whacked! Tad short from Yasir outside off, ML goes back and cuts through point to get a boundary.
38.3 : 38.3: B Asif to Starc, FOUR! Misfield and a boundary conceded. A bit shorter this from Asif and wide of off, MS goes back and cuts it to point where the fielder completely misses the ball and allows it to races across the deep point boundary.
41.2 : 41.2: Y Shah to Starc, SIX! Slammed for a biggie! It was about time that the tall southpaw launches himselef into one. Sees the ball flighted and full around off. Gets down and whacks it over mid-wicket for a superb maximum.

46.2 : 46.2: B Asif to N Lyon, OUT! Bowled'em! Lovely spin bowling from Bilal Asif. He gives it a bit more air and bowls it slower. Lyon goes for the slog sweep but is completely beaten in flight. He swings his bat a bit too early and the ball crashes into the off pole. Just one wicket more left for Australia.
47.2: Y Shah to Starc, SIX! That's gone all the way. Good strike from Mitchell Starc. The wrong 'un outside off, Starc reads it well as he gets low and unleashes the big slog sweep. Connects sweetly and sends it sailing over mid-wicket.
50.4 : 50.4: Abbas to Starc, OUT! He's gone and that spells the end of the visitors' innings. A 5-wicket haul for Mohammad Abbas, well-deserved. He comes from around the wicket and fires in a yorker on middle and leg, angling in. Starc can't dig it out and it goes behind past the leg stump. Pakistan appeal, because they think it's caught Starc's boot on the way back and take the DRS. It's taken upstairs and replays show that it indeed did and the left-hander is gone. AUSTRALIA ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 145 AN
4.2 : 4.2: M Starc to Hafeez, OUT! GONE! That catching cover fielder has come into play. This will bring a smile to the Australian's face. Starc pitches it fuller outside off, Hafeez just checks his drive for some reason and as a result, chips it straight to Travis Head at short extra cover. Soft dismissal, much like the first innings, for Hafeez. Not the ideal day for the birthday boy.
4.6 : 4.6: M Starc to Zaman, No ball and FOUR! A loose full toss from Mitchell Starc, outside off, easy pickings for Fakhar Zaman as he drives it through the big gap in the covers for a boundary. Starc overstepped, so he'll have to reload.
4.6: M Starc to Zaman, FOUR! Too straight from Starc. Bowls a back of a length ball on middle and leg, Zaman gets inside the line and pulls it through backward square leg for another boundary.
5.4 : 5.4: N Lyon to Ali, FOUR! Swept and swept away well. It's tossed up on middle and leg, Ali gets low and brings out the broom, to place it through backward square leg and find the fence.
6.3 : 6.3: M Starc to Ali, FOUR! Overpitched and that's through for a boundary. Outside off, Azhar just gets bat on it, directs it through cover-point and lets the timing do the rest. No stopping that one.

7.4 : 7.4: N Lyon to F Zaman, FOUR! Consecutive boundaries. Lyon drops it short and wide outside off, Zaman cuts it fiercely through point to send it across the boundary line.
14.5 : 14.5: P Siddle to Zaman, FOUR! Similar ball but this time Zaman shows us exactly how it should be done. Talk about making corrections quickly! Zaman rises on top of the bounce and drives this handsomely on the up through covers for a boundary.
16.2 : 16.2: P Siddle to F Zaman, FOUR! Cuts and cuts well! Seeing the length a bit short he goes back and across and cuts this one hard through point for a cracking boundary.
16.5 : 16.5: P Siddle to Ali, FOUR! Pakistan are on the go here. Ali goes back to this shortish ball around off and square-cuts it magnificently through point for a boundary.
24.4 : 24.4: M Labuschagne to Zaman, FOUR! Over compensates this time and bowls a full toss. Zaman takes full toll of it and caresses it through covers for a beautiful boundary. FZ moves on to 64 with that shot.
25.5 : 25.5: Lyon to Zaman, OUT! Amazing caught and bowled! Lyon flights it nicely around off. Zaman skips down the track and blasts it straight back. Lyon, almost in an attempt to avoid the ball, turns his body but keeps his eyes on the ball. His reflexes help him to catch that one off his own bowling and the offie is up and running in this innings.
48.5: P Siddle to Ali, FOUR! Crack! First boundary of the morning, also 150 comes up for the hosts. Short and wide outside off and this time Ali takes full toll of it by cutting it fiercely through backward point for a boundary.
49.2 : 49.2: N Lyon to Sohail, OUT! How clever and wily is this offie? He was a bit unlucky yesterday evening but has made an impact early today. He flights this on on off, Sohail skips down the track looking to go over Nathan. Swings his bat and gets beaten as the ball spins past his outside edge inside Sarfraz's mitts, he whips the bails off as Sohail watches himself get dismissed. A 48-run partnership has been ended. .
52.3 : 52.3: P Siddle to Ali, OUT! Absolute comical scenes here! Oh, dear! Oh, boy! Can't believe what we've witnessed here. Don't think I've ever seen a dismissal like this before. Full and outside off, Azhar Ali reaches out to it and gets an edge down towards third man. The ball is rolling towards the third man fence, but it stops just inside the rope. Starc jogs towards the ball and throws it back in. Here's the thing though, both batsmen are unaware that the ball has stopped inside the rope as the
56.1 : 56.1: P Siddle to Azam, FOUR! Smack! Babar Azam will feel much much better after this shot. Banged in short by Siddle looking to surprise the batsman. 66.5 : 66.5: M Marsh to A Shafiq, FOUR! All Class! The classic cover drive. Not many shots may be more beautiful than this one. A still head and some amazing timing as well. A good length ball this marginally outside off, Azam comes forward and drives this on the up and through covers for a beautiful boundary. Babar at his best here.
67.1 : 67.1: N Lyon to Azam, SIX! Boom! Skips down the track and just deposists this one over the mid-wicket fence. Attacks him on the very first ball of the over. Tossed up ball on off, Asad charges down a couple of steps and heaves it over mid-wicket for a maximum. This partnership has crossed 50 runs now.
74.3 : 74.3: M Labuschagne to Shafiq, OUT! The Paratha have worked, says Ramiz Raja on air. AFter two long hops the youngster comes up with a wicket taking one on the third. Lands this a bit shorter than full length, Asad goes back and cuts hard. The ball bounces more than he expected and this results in a top edge flying to the point fielder at decent pace who takes an easy catch. AC Agar is the substitute fielder positioned there.
77.3: N Lyon to Ahmed, FOUR! Well-timed and well-placed. Improvisation from Sarfraz. He gets low real quick and brings out the reverse sweep. Places it across the third man fence and gets a boundary.
78.3: M Labuschagne to Azam, SIX! The 250 is up for Pakistan. Babar Azam on the charge here. He skips out to this tossed up ball around off and smokes it over long off with absolute ease.

79.2 : 79.2: N Lyon to Ahmed, SIX! Declaration on the cards soon? Certainly seems so from the intent. A lot of air on this one, Sarfraz jumps out of his crease and launches it over mid-wicket for a maximum. The lead has crossed 400.
80.2: M Labuschagne to Ahmed, FOUR! Again, a lot of room on offer and this time he puts it away. Sarfraz rocks back and cuts it through point all the way to the fence for a boundary.
81.2: M Starc to Azam, FOUR! Well played. Didn't have much room, but he still managed to get it away. Short and on off, quite close to him but Babar arches back a touch and runs it down to third man for a boundary.
90.6 : 90.6: M Marsh to Ahmed, FOUR! Well placed. Width offered outside off, Sarfraz reaches out to it and runs it past the diving gully fielder across the third man boundary.
92.5 : 92.5: M Marsh to Azam, FOUR! Glorious! That is simply gorgeous. Real quality batting as Babar whips this length ball on his pads through mid-wicket for a boundary. He seemed a mere push but the timing was good enough to get the ball across the ropes in a jiffy.
92.6 : 92.6: M Marsh to Azam, FOUR! Another fantastic shot by the right-hander, showing his class now. This is short and wide of off, Babar rocks back quickly and cuts it fiercely through point for a second boundary in a row.

109.5 : 109.5: M Marsh to Azam, OUT! Three reds and that's out. A review is also lost. Azam has to walk back dejected on 99. It is a good length ball around off. It lands and nips back in ever so slightly to beat the inside edge of Babar's bat. He is looking to play at it from the crease, he is not forward nor is he on the back foot. The ball hits him on the knee roll and Australia go up in a huge appeal. The umpire immediately raises his finger as it looked very close but the right-hander still went fo
113.4 : 113.4: M Marsh to Asif, FOUR! Back of a length outside off, Bilal stays back to this, opens the face and places it behind point to find the fence. Lovely shot.
114.1 : 114.1: M Labuschagne to Asif, SIX! Smoked! Tossed right up and in the slot, Bilal has no qualms about putting this away. Stands his ground and launches it over long on for a maximum. Pakistan now lead by 522.
115.1: Lyon to Asif, OUT! What a catch from Labuschagne. Good awareness from the part-time leggie. Lyon lands it around off, it turns every so slightly as Asif gets forward to defend with an angled bat rather than a straight bat. It takes the edge, goes off Paine's right thigh and he has no idea where the ball is now. But Marnus does. He keeps his eyes on the ball, dives forward at short leg and takes a good catch.
115.4 : 115.4: N Lyon to Shah, FOUR! Some air on this as this lands on the stumps, swept through square leg by Shah for a boundary.
115.6 : 115.6: N Lyon to Shah, OUT! Gone. It's umpire's call. The review isn't lost though. Spinning in from around off, Yasir looks to play at it and wears it on the pads. A big appeal goes up and the umpire raises his finger. Shah takes the DRS and replays show the ball to be clipping the leg stump. So, he has to make the long walk back. Pakistan lead by 531 runs.
118.2 : 118.2: M Labuschagne to Ahmed, OUT! Even the skipper misses out on a ton. A good knock though nonetheless. Labuschagne floats it up on off, it turns slightly as Sarfraz gets low to sweep. Gets caught on the front pad and the appeal goes up, soon followed by the finger. The Pakistan captain signals the 'T' and it's taken upstairs. Replays show the ball to be clipping the off stump. Barely. Unfortunate for the skipper. He misses out on another ton. The lead is of 537.
0.5 : 0.5: M Abbas to Marsh, FOUR! Shot. Too much width offered outside off, Shaun Marsh stays inside the crease and flays it through point to find the fence.
1.3 : 1.3: Mir Hamza to Marsh, OUT! WHAT. A. DELIVERY. Superb ball from Mir Hamza. Lands this on off, it comes in and then shapes away so little at the last second. 12.2 : 12.2: M Abbas to Head, FOUR! Off the edge. First runs of the day. Full and outside off, Head pushes at it half-heartedly and gets an outside edge. It rolls along the ground past gully and reaches the third man fence. Australia will hope that they get the ball towards the boundary ropes a bit more frequently. The outfield in that part is still damp and it will be difficult to bowl with the wet ball. 50 UP FOR AUSTRALIA. The stand is worth 41 now. Head moves to 21 from 31 balls, with his third bou
13.1 : 13.1: Y Shah to Head, FOUR! Poor fielding. A full toss on middle, Haed comes forward and drives it straight back. However, Yasir barely moves to his left, let alone bend to stop and lets it go. The ball races to the fence down the ground.
16.4 : 16.4: M Abbas to Head, FOUR! Cut away! Not a bad ball from Abbas, on a length outside off and cutting back in. But Head is ready to take the risk of being too close to the ball to cut, goes through with the shot and gets it behind point for a boundary.
18.3 : 18.3: M Abbas to Head, OUT! Caught behind! Head's troubles are over. Abbas has struck in his 4th over of the morning. The channel is perfect, in the corridor of uncertainty. The length is near perfect, somewhere between full and good. The enticing is excellent. 'C'mon Travis, feel for it, play at it.' The response is even better. Because Head does not control his urge to feel for balls outside off. He could have left it alone, but wants to go on a drive in this heat. Bad decision. To drive the c
18.4 : 18.4: M Abbas to Marsh, FOUR! WHAM! Wow. No second thoughts about Australia's thoughts on chasing down 538. Who wants a draw? Anything slightly off line and length and it is going to go. Short and outside off, Marsh's eyes light up and he bludgeons the pull through square leg. Not a soul moves.
20.1 : 20.1: Abbas to Marsh, OUT! The decision is overturned and Marsh is gone LBW! Two wickets in the space of 5 balls for Abbas. On a length outside off, Marsh stays back to defend. But the ball shoots back in, stays low a touch and hits him flush on the back thigh. That looks out to the naked eye and Abbas roars in an appeal but umpire Illingworth shakes his head. The bowler is confident and so is the keeper and they convince Asad Shafiq, standing in for the injured Sarfraz Ahmed, to go for the revi
22.2 : 22.2: M Abbas to Finch, OUT! LBW and Abbas has three in 12 balls! Wow. Australia are folding up quickly after an attacking start this morning. Full and outside off, Finch looks to defend but the ball drifts back in a long way, misses the inside edge and hits the batsman flush on the pads. Looks dead and it is ruled out by the umpire. No point in even reviewing that and Finch walks back with a glum face. He has looked the best amongst all the batsmen in this Test series, along with Usman Khawaja.
22.5 : 22.5: Abbas to Tim Paine, OUT! BOWLED! Massive error in judgement from Paine. He has left a straight ball alone and is now leaving the ground alone... A lovely ball, around off, Paine shoulders that because it is too close to play. But mate, that is too close to the off stick as well! He just watches the ball land, then watches the ball seam in prodigiously and then watches his off stump get uprooted with some sound effect as well. Pakistan are overjoyed and Abbas has 9 in the match now - HIS BE
24.3 : 24.3: M Abbas to Labuschagne, FOUR! Short and wide outside off, like an oasis in the desert. Flayed through point for a boundary.
25.4 : 25.4: Y Shah to Labuschagne, FOUR! LOVELY! Floated outside off, Labuschagne leans and drives it through the covers for a boundary. Moves to 12 from 16 balls, with his second boundary.
26.4: M Abbas to M Starc, FOUR! Fine shot. Brings out a smile from Starc. Slightly overpitched outside off, the southpaw drives and gets it just past a diving Azhar Ali at mid off, to his right. No one in the deep and it is a boundary. 100 IS UP FOR AUSTRALIA.
27.1 : 27.1: Y Shah to Labuschagne, FOUR! Short and outside off, Labuschagne goes back and punches it through the covers for a boundary.
28.6 : 28.6: M Abbas to M Starc, FOUR! Edged away! On a length outside off, Starc looks to punch this on the up but gets a thick outside edge which just avoids the second slip fielder to the third man fence.
30.6: Mir Hamza to Starc, IN THE AIR, JUST OVER! FOUR! Full and outside off, Starc looks to drive but the ball stops in the pitch a touch. He is already through with his shot and the ball just evades a leaping Azhar Ali at mid off to the fence behind. The stand moves to 42 from 48 balls.
32.1 : 32.1: Mir Hamza to M Labuschagne, FOUR! MAGNIFICENT! Full and outside off, Labuschagne reaches out and drives it through the covers for a boundary! He is playing his shots, no matter what.
32.4 : 32.4: Mir Hamza to Labuschagne, FOUR! Fine way to bring up the 50-run stand! Half volley outside off, Labuschagne reaches out and drives it through covers again for the second boundary of the over!
34.5 : 34.5: Mir Hamza to Starc, MISTIMED BUT FOUR! He is going for broke now. The stand moves to 62 from 72 balls. A short ball outside off, Starc takes it on, goes for the pull but is done in by the height. He miscues it over mid on but makes good enough connection to beat the fielder towards the ropes.
39.5: Y Shah to Starc, OUT! LBW! Cannot blame Starc for using up Australia's review, nor can we blame him for missing that ball. It was tossed up around middle and leg and he stayed back to flick, thinking it will turn. But the ball did not turn much and beat the inside edge, hitting him on the front pad. Yasir appealed and umpire Ravi's finger was up in a flash. Starc reviewed it but in vain. End of the 67-run stand.
41.3 : 41.3: Y Shah to Siddle, OUT! LBW! Number 2 for Yasir. Beautiful bowling. He tosses this around leg, Siddle looks to defend but misses and is hit on the pads. Yasir appeals and the umpire raises his finger. Siddle walks across to his partner, has a chat about the review but then is asked to go back. Oh dear...REPLAYS SHOW THE BALL WAS PITCHED OUTSIDE LEG. Might have just delayed the inevitable a bit more, had the review been taken.
46.2 : 46.2: M Abbas to Labuschagne, OUT! Abbas gets his 10-fer. What a spell of bowling from the fast bowler. It was short of length, Marnus caught in surprise, he tried to pull it but get the bottom and an easy catch from the keeper. The ball got big on him. Australia are 9 down.
49.4 : 49.4: Y Shah to Jon Holland, OUT! Edged and taken! VICTORY FOR PAKISTAN BY 373 RUNS! 4th biggest defeat for Australia in terms of runs and the biggest by that margin in Asia. Full and outside off, Holland looks to drive but gets a thick outside edge which flies straight to Haris Sohail at second slip. The celebrations begin and now come the handshakes. PAKISTAN WIN THE 2-MATCH SERIES 1-0!!!
