2.3 : 2.3: M Shami to Cook, FOUR! Edged and through Jadeja! He didn't even judge that one. This is poor stuff from one of the best fielders in the Indian squad. This is a on a length and coming back in, Cook closes the face of the bat early, gets a leading edge that flies towards third slip where Jadeja moves to his right but is a bit late to react and the ball goes through him to the third man fence for a boundary. Chance goes down abegging.
2.5 : 2.5: M Shami to Cook, FOUR! Lovely use of the wrists! Fuller in length and on the pads, Cook shuffles a bit and clips it through mid-wicket. Through the gap and away she goes for a boundary.
4.2 : 4.2: M Shami to Cook, FOUR! Sweet! What a sound it made after meeting the bat! Fuller in length and too much of width on offer. Shami wants Cook to play at it and he obliges. Gets on the front foot and drives it through covers for a blazing boundary. Third boundary of the morning, this.
5.3 : 5.3: U Yadav to Cook, FOUR! Yadav strays this one on the pads, Cook shuffles a bit and flicks it towards wide mid on. Jayant gets to his left, puts in a dive but to no avail. The outfield is quick enough to reach the fence.
5.5 : 5.5: U Yadav to Cook, FOUR! Pulled away! Umesh bangs in short on middle and leg, Cook swivels and pulls it towards fine leg. Jadeja comes sprinting to his left, dives full length but the ball goes through for another boundary.
7.2 : 7.2: U Yadav to Hameed, FOUR! Edged and through! Fuller in length and moves away a touch, Hameed tries to push this one through the line but gets an outside edge past the vacant third slip region for a boundary all the way.
9.6 : 9.6: Yadav to H Hameed, OUT! Umesh Yadav draws first blood! There is nothing poor Hameed can do about it. Yadav bowls a length ball on off, it shoots off the deck sharply. Hameed tries to defend it off the front foot but the extra bounce proves to be fatal. It kisses his gloves and lobs up towards gully where Rahane takes a simple catch. They all appeal and the umpire gives it out after taking his time. Haseeb Hameed is staring the spot where the ball pitched and then starts to walk back. My col
10.6: M Shami to Cook, FOUR! That's insult to an injury! Shami bangs in a back of a length ball but the line is wrong, it on the leg stump and Cook just uses the pace of it and rolls his wrists on it. The all goes towards fine leg for a boundary.
11.2 : 11.2: U Yadav to Joe Root, FOUR! That's the shot of the man in form! On a length and outside off, Root stands tall and crunches it through covers for a lovely boundary.
11.5 : 11.5: U Yadav to Root, FOUR! Sloppy from Ashwin! He is having a tough time on the field. Dropped an easy catch and now doesn't field well. Yadav angles in a full length ball on middle and leg, Root gets across and works it through wide mid on. Ashwin from mid on moves to his right, slides and tries to scoop the ball back but it goes through him. He then gets up but for some unknown reason doesn't put in the chase. By the time he realizes, the ball has already crossed the fence.
13.3 : 13.3: U Yadav to Root, FOUR! Nice use of the wrists! Angles it on the pads, Root gets across and works it through mid-wicket. Jayant goes after it and Shami comes to his left but doesn't get to the ball. A boundary for Root here.

He tosses up a fractionally short of a length ball, landing around off and turning in, Joe gets back and tries to hit it across the line but misses. He is rapped on the pads, they appeal and the finger goes up immediately. Root doesn't even think about reviewing and trudges back.
15.1: R Ashwin to Cook, OUT! Ashwin strikes first ball and makes up for the dropped catch! He serves a gentle loosener, short and wide outside off, Cook rocks back to cut it through the line but gets a thick outside edge to the keeper. Parthiv makes no mistake and the finger goes up quickly again. Poor from the English skipper. England have thrown away the advantage of winning the toss and are in a spot of bother in spite of dropped catches by India.
20.6 : 20.6: J Yadav to J Bairstow, FOUR! That's a gorgeous shot! Loops it up around off, Bairstow takes full toll of it as he makes room and drives it exquisitely through covers. Ashwin at short extra cover puts in a dive but to no avail. The ball sped away to the fence.
22.3 : 22.3: J Yadav to Ali, FOUR! That's a lovely shot! Loopy ball around middle and off, Ali skips down the track and hits it for a one bounce boundary towards long on. Good shot!

24.1 : 24.1: J Yadav to Bairstow, FOUR! That's nicely done! Yadav bowls a loopy ball around off, turning in as well. Bairstow gets down and across to play the paddle sweep. He connects it well and the ball rolls towards fine leg. Vijay comes running to his right, puts in a dive but that is really sloppy. He got to the ball and could have done better. Kohli is not happy with it and immediately asks Murali to come at mid off.
26.3 : 26.3: Shami to M Ali, OUT! Shami strikes and the change of bowling has worked for India. Kohli is absolutely delighted and why won't he be? Shami hits the deck hard and it jumps on Moeen who tries to go for the pull. He is cramped for room but still goes after it. A top edge balloons towards fine leg where Vijay takes a safe catch. Kohli charges towards him and gives him a pat on the back.

43.6 : 43.6: R Jadeja to Stokes, OUT! Brain fade for Stokes as he throws it away. Jadeja serves a quicker full ball on off, Stokes dances down the track looking for a big shot, a premeditated attempt, completely misses the ball and Parthiv does the rest in a flash. He played for the spin which wasn't there and it brought his downfall. Ben starts to walk but then there is something said to him. Not sure what? Kohli is shown in the next frame and umpire Marais Erasmus is calming him down. Everything unde

Buttler runs down the track, isn't quite to the pitch of the ball but still goes on with the shot. Hits it a bit uppishly towards short extra cover where Kohli moves swiftly to his right and gobbles it with ease. He then throws the ball upwards and Jadeja is all smiles. A 69-run stand has been broken and India once agai

Shami bowls it on a length outside off, the ball pitches and moves away a touch, just enough to get the outside edge of Rashid and the ball carries nicely through to the keeper. He didn't walk off at first since the umpire did not rule him out. The bowler continued to appeal, Batty asked if Rashid wanted to review to which the former refused and then walked off. Brilliant start for India, the dangerman departs since Rashid could have easily scored a f
