Toss - South Africa won the toss and elected to field.
Team news - Both the teams have a couple of changes. The hosts have brought in Paterson and Shamsi for Tahir and Pretorius. Pakistan have got in Talat and Afridi for Khan and Wasim.
We are all set for the action to begin. Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq are the openers. Kagiso Rabada has the first new ball in hand. Here we go...
0.1 : K Rabada to Imam, Down the leg side and it has been signaled a wide. Pakistan are underway courtesy an extra.
K Rabada to Imam, A play and a miss! This is bowled full and wide outside off, Imam goes after it away from his body but gets beaten. Too early to play an expansive drive.
0.2 : K Rabada to Imam, Better from Imam. He though might have left this one due to the length. It is slightly short and outside off.
0.3 : K Rabada to Imam, Imam is off the mark now! Fuller in length and on off, Imam strokes to the right of mid off and gets to the other end.
0.4 : K Rabada to F Zaman, FOUR! Exquisite! What a way to get off the mark. Full and on off, Zaman shows the full face of the bat and just strokes it past the bowler and into the fence. First boundary of the game.
0.5 : K Rabada to F Zaman, Now follows the boundary up with a single towards mid on.
0.6 : K Rabada to Imam, A dot to end a very good first over for Pakistan. Full and around off, Imam looks to drive but ends up playing outside the line, he gets an inside edge onto his pads.
Dane Paterson to bowl from the other end.
1.1 : D Paterson to F Zaman, Starts off right on the money! On a length and around off, the batsman gets behind the line and defends it out.
1.2 : D Paterson to F Zaman, Risky run! Closer to the off pole, Fakhar looks to hit it away from his body but misties it towards cover. He sets off for a run. The fielder has a shy but misses. Zaman's dive would have saved him there though.

1.4 : D Paterson to F Zaman, Wide! It is down the leg side and it has been wided.
D Paterson to F Zaman, Good length on off, it is kept out.

2.1 : K Rabada to Imam, On middle, it is clipped to the man at mid-wicket.
2.2 : K Rabada to Imam, On the shorter side, Imam hops and works it to mid-wicket.
2.3 : K Rabada to Imam, Down the leg side and another extra.
K Rabada to Imam, Nicely bowled! Good use of the angle. Length delivery on off, it pitches and the moves away. Imam tries to defend it off the back foot but the ball slants away from his outside edge.
2.4 : K Rabada to Imam, Well bowled again! Slightly fuller this time, the batter is not sure whether to play it off the front foot or the back foot. He somehow tries to get bat on ball but is beaten.

3.6 : D Paterson to F Zaman, Dot to end! A maiden, first of the game. Stump-to-stump line, all Zaman can do is keep it out.
4.1 : K Rabada to Imam, On the pads, it is tucked around the corner and a run is taken.
4.2 : K Rabada to F Zaman, On the shorter side, Zaman looks to pull, the ball though is not short enough to play that shot. The ball hits the higher portion of the bat and goes towards the bowler. It seems like Zaman is getting a touch frustrated here.
4.3 : K Rabada to F Zaman, Good batting! That is one way of the pressure not increasing. He taps it towards covers and gets to the other end quickly.
4.4 : K Rabada to Imam, Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat.
4.5 : K Rabada to Imam, OUT! In the air... taken! Imam has been bounced out! Early strike for South Africa and the guy who played so well in the last game does not contribute a lot in this one. He may not have been expecting a short one as Rabada has already bowled one for the over. Hence, his weight was on the front foot. Rabada though still bowls one, a quick one. It bounces just at the right height. Imam fails to transfer his weight onto the back foot but still goes ahead with the pull. All he
Babar Azam is the new man in.
4.6 : K Rabada to B Azam, FOUR! Off the mark in style! Azam could not have asked for a better first ball. Full and on the pads, Azam flicks it through square leg and the ball races to the fence. A boundary to finish but a successful over for the hosts.

6.1 : K Rabada to F Zaman, It is worked around the corner for a single.
6.2 : K Rabada to B Azam, Another excellent delivery! However, these can be left, due to Azam shuffling across, he is drawn into these strokes. Back of a length outside off, it straightens after pitching. Azam hangs his bat out and gets beaten.
6.3 : K Rabada to B Azam, This time Azam manages to keep it out off the back foot.
6.4 : K Rabada to B Azam, Another delivery on off and which has been landed on a length. Azam goes back and defends it out.
6.5 : K Rabada to B Azam, FOUR! Class! Not a very bad delivery this. Maybe it was slightly overpitched. Azam opens the face of the bat and strokes it on the up through covers and the ball races away.

7.3 : D Paterson to F Zaman, FOUR! Should not have been a boundary! A poor effort in the field! Short and on the body, Zaman helps it on it way towards fine leg. Shamsi there runs to his left, slides but fails to stop the ball. This is already an expensive over and three balls to go.

7.5 : D Paterson to F Zaman, Slightly fuller and outside off, Zaman plays inside the line and gets beaten.

8.1 : K Rabada to B Azam, Angles it into the batter, he works it towards mid-wicket and gets to the other end.

8.5 : K Rabada to B Azam, On off, it is kept out.
8.6 : K Rabada to B Azam, OUT! Rabada strikes again! Once again it is the short ball which does the trick for him. Gets the better of Pakistan's best ODI batsman for not a lot. Rabada bangs it short and outside off, it is the scrambled seam delivery. It comes slow off the surface. Azam is a touch early into the pull shot. Also, his bat seems to have shaken when it makes contact with the ball. It ends up going high in the air towards deep square leg. Phehlukwayo there runs in and takes a good catc

13.3 : A Phehlukwayo to M Hafeez, So elegant! On the shorter side, Hafeez just guides it away from the point fielder and towards third man for a couple. Excellent placement that one.
13.4 : A Phehlukwayo to M Hafeez, Back of a length on off, Hafeez pushes it to covers.
13.5 : A Phehlukwayo to M Hafeez, OUT! Soft, very soft dismissal this and Hafeez, who was looking so good out there is sent back. On a length and it is around the pads, Hafeez tries to flick. Now due to the slowness, he is not able to get it as square as he wants it to. It is also uppish and hence goes straight into the hands of the man at short mid-wicket. Faf du Plessis there takes an easy catch. Pakistan slip further here.
Shoaib Malik strides out to the middle.
13.6 : A Phehlukwayo to S Malik, On the fuller side, Malik times it to mid off.
14.1 : D Olivier to F Zaman, OUT! Another short ball gets the better of a Pakistan batsman. This one though is a snorter. We saw Olivier doing this a several times in the Test match and he has done it here too. It is banged in halfway down the pitch, keeps rising on the batsman. A serious effort ball as this one really zipped off this surface which is relatively quite slow. Zaman tries to fend at it but the ball hits the higher portion of the bat and lobs towards point. Miller runs in and takes a

25.3 : T Shamsi to H Talat, OUT! Shamsi picks up his second of the innings, inside his third over. This is nicely bowled, very nicely bowled. And sharp work from Klaasen too behind the stumps to finish the job. Looped up around off, on a driving length, draws Hussain Talat forward to play and he quite can't get close enough to the pitch of the ball. It turns away, beats the outside edge and loses his balance a bit. Seeing this, Klaasen takes the bails off in flash. Pakistan slip further.

This is a body blow to Pakistan, he was set out there and looking good, departs at the absolute wrong time. Short ball angling in on middle and leg, Malik rocks back and pulls it over mid-wicket with a swivel. Hits it straight down the throat of Reeza Hendricks who makes no mistake in taking that.

Andile Phehlukwayo gets his career-best figures of 22/4 in 9.5 overs. PAKISTAN ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 203.
End of a very, very good bowling performance by South Africa. They have justified their skipper's decision of bowling first, however, they would not be happy with the fact that the visitors crossed the 200-run mark, especially after they were reeling at 112/8.
The South African bowlers were on song right from the start. It was Rabada who got two in the first 10. Then, Olivier and Phehlukwayo joined the party. Shadab and Malik did try and steady the ship but Shamsi then got the better of the leg spinner. Talat and Malik were dismissed soon and at that point 150 looked farfetched.
That is when the fightback started though. Hasan Ali, along with his skipper, added a 90-run stand which provided some respectability to the score. The skipper was happy to knock it around and take the singles, whereas the pacer tonked the ball to all parts of the ground. He got his second ODI fifty up but two wickets in one over from Andile, who finished with career-best figures, ended the Pakistan innings.
203 is the target now and South Africa are big time favorites to chase this down. Can it be defended? Pakistan will have to bowl out of their skins. Will they take a 2-0 lead or will the series be levelled? Join us in a while to find out.
