Match over
0.3 : 0.3: Isuru Udana to Prithvi Shaw, FOUR! This bloke has all the shots in the book. 124 ks is simply not good enough for a guy of this quality. Too short and it is pulled through mid-wicket.
0.5 : 0.5: Isuru Udana to Prithvi Shaw, FOUR! Slower ball, picked and put away. Full, around leg, Shaw flicks it uppishly. But it is in the gap, wide of mid on, to his right and races to the long on fence.
0.6 : 0.6: Isuru Udana to Prithvi Shaw, FOUR! 14 from the opening over! Delhi are off to a flying start. Another ordinary delivery. A short ball, down the leg side, Shaw swivels and pulls it over square leg!
2.1 : 2.1: Navdeep Saini to Shikhar Dhawan, FOUR! Half volley combined with too much width outside off. It is a warm-up delivery and not a great start for a fast bowler. Bread and butter for Shikhar Dhawan as he drives this through the covers.
2.4 : 2.4: Navdeep Saini to Prithvi Shaw, SIX! Goodness me. No one is going to catch this, for sure! Full and wide outside off, Shaw reaches out, is off balance but still, manages to carve this over cover!
4.2 : 4.2: Yuzvendra Chahal to Prithvi Shaw, FOUR! POUNDED! Bad bowling. That's just too short. A half-pitcher, outside the off stump, Shaw goes back and punches it through the covers.
4.3 : 4.3: Yuzvendra Chahal to Prithvi Shaw, SIX! Well, that's exactly what Chahal and Kohli want Shaw to do but the batsman has nailed this one. Floated, outside off, turning away, Prithvi gets down on a knee, reaches out and slogs this over long on!
4.5 : 4.5: Yuzvendra Chahal to Shikhar Dhawan, FOUR! Nicely played. Full and around middle, spinning in, Dhawan sweeps this with the spin over square leg and beats the fielder in the deep to his left.
5.4 : 5.4: Washington Sundar to Prithvi Shaw, EDGY FOUR! Not the shot Shaw wanted to play but he will accept this nonetheless. Flatter ball around leg, Shaw looks to sweep this one but it comes off his top edge and goes over de Villiers and it will race away to the fence at fine leg for a boundary.
6.2 : 6.2: Mohammed Siraj to Shikhar Dhawan, FOUR! Not a great start by Siraj and Dhawan welcomes him with some style! This is another half-pitcher around middle, Dhawan pulls this one hard and it will cross the fence at deep mid-wicket. Cracking.
6.4 : 6.4: Mohammed Siraj to Prithvi Shaw, OUT! CAUGHT! Siraj has struck for Bangalore and the very dangerous Shaw will walk back now. This is the start Kohli wanted from Siraj when he handed him the ball and he has not disappointed. Siraj dishes a back of a length ball around middle and leg, Shaw looks for the pull but it comes off his gloves and de Villiers with the gloves does no wrong. Shaw will be mighty disappointed as he would have wanted to go big and continue but he will have to walk back.
6.5 : 6.5: Mohammed Siraj to Shreyas Iyer, FOUR! BANG! What a shot to play to start off by Iyer! Short of a good length ball around leg, Iyer flicks this fine towards the deep square leg region and the timing is sweet and will fetch him a boundary.
9.4 : 9.4: Isuru Udana to Shikhar Dhawan, OUT! CAUGHT! The team in red are ecstatic and why not as well? They were on the back foot in the Powerplay but they have done well to remove the two openers. Udana strikes and the gamble to bring him on now has worked out for Kohli. Udana dishes a good length ball around middle, Dhawan makes some room and lofts this one towards the long on region but his timing is not the best on this occasion as it is straight down the throat of the man. Moeen Ali will not dr
11.3 : 11.3: Moeen Ali to Shreyas Iyer, OUT! CAUGHT! What a catch this one is! Absolute blinder! He knew that his balance was off so he throws the ball up and comes back inside from the ropes and takes this one. They have scalped the captain of Delhi and this is the big fish. He was dangerous in the previous game but will have to walk back this time around. Loopy ball around off, Iyer comes down the track and lofts this towards the deep mid-wicket region but it does not have the distance required as Pa
12.2 : 12.2: Yuzvendra Chahal to Rishabh Pant, FOUR! If Pant decides to get going then things will become difficult for Bangalore. This is a great strike. Loopy ball around off, Pant gets on his knees and slog sweeps this one towards the deep mid-wicket fence for four runs.
13.3 : 13.3: Moeen Ali to Marcus Stoinis, SIX! That is a brilliant shot! Power! Flatter around off, Stoinis transfers all the weight on his back foot and heaves this over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie.
13.6 : 13.6: Moeen Ali to Marcus Stoinis, FOUR! Stoinis is looking in good touch so far and it will be tough to stop him once he gets going. Ali goes for a loopy delivery around off and middle, Stoinis lofts this one nonchalantly over the bowler's head for a boundary.
14.3 : 14.3: Navdeep Saini to Marcus Stoinis, SIX! Saini goes for the back of a length ball and it was just around off, enough room for Stoinis to hammer this over the mid-wicket region for a six. He is playing a lot of powerful shots tonight.
14.4 : 14.4: Navdeep Saini to Marcus Stoinis, FOUR! He has not timed this one well but it has enough timing to cross the fence down the ground! Goes for a good length ball around off, Stoinis works this over the bowler's head and it will cross the fence for four runs.
14.5 : 14.5: Navdeep Saini to Marcus Stoinis, FOUR! Muscled from Stoinis! What a shot! On a full length outside off, Stoinis lofts this over the backward point fielder and he jumps but it goes over his hands into the ropes.
15.1 : 15.1: Mohammed Siraj to Marcus Stoinis, FOUR! Welcome back into the attack! Full and outside off, Stoinis leans and drives this through the covers for a boundary!
16.2 : 16.2: Navdeep Saini to Marcus Stoinis, FOUR! Very well played. A length ball, around off, Stoinis gets across and heaves it through mid-wicket. It is in the gap and splits the fielders in the deep!
16.4 : 16.4: Navdeep Saini to Rishabh Pant, SIX! This is what he can do. A length ball, around middle, Pant lofts this as clean as a whistle and clears the fence at long on!
16.5 : 16.5: Navdeep Saini to Rishabh Pant, FOUR! Poor bowling. On middle and leg, Pant shuffles across and works it to the right of short fine leg!
17.3 : 17.3: Isuru Udana to Rishabh Pant, FOUR! Pant has smacked this one! Pant is closing in on his 50! He bowls a slower good length ball outside off, Pant lofts this over the cover region and it will cross the fence for a boundary.
18.1 : 18.1: Mohammed Siraj to Rishabh Pant, NO BALL, SIX! My word, how has Pant hit that? A beamer first up, right at the body. Now, Pant has premeditated that and is ready for the paddle. He gets a high full toss, so first, he has to protect himself and then, try to score of that. Manages to get that shot out and clears the fine leg fence!
18.2 : 18.2: Mohammed Siraj to Rishabh Pant, OUT! BOWLED! Siraj gets another wicket. His second. Another off-pace ball, Pant looks to swing but is months early into the shot. The ball takes the inside edge and rattles the stumps. End of a terrific 89-run stand which might prove to be match-winning.
18.6 : 18.6: Mohammed Siraj to Marcus Stoinis, FOUR! Stoinis, Stoinis, Stoinis! His second half century this season. Full and outside off, Marcus gets a long way across and whips this over square leg to find the fence! 13 from the over, Siraj finishes with figures of 4-0-34-2.
19.3 : 19.3: Isuru Udana to Shimron Hetmyer, SIX! PUMMELED! That is the strength of Hetmyer. A length ball, around middle, Shimron swings this cleanly over mid-wicket!
1.1 : 1.1: Anrich Nortje to Aaron Finch, FOUR! Slapped! Finch gets going. Back of a length ball outside off, Finch creams this one through the covers for a boundary.
2.6 : 2.6: Ravichandran Ashwin to Devdutt Padikkal, OUT! CAUGHT! The move to bring Ashwin at the start has paid off and Iyer will be pleased with his decision. Padikkal looks for the big one and he perishes looking for the same. The young man has looked really good in this tournament but he fails to make a mark in this game. Ashwin bowls a loopy ball around off, Padikkal looks to go big over the deep mid-wicket area but he does not time it well enough as the bottom hand comes off the handle. The fi
3.1 : 3.1: Axar Patel to Virat Kohli, FOUR! Kohli starts off with a bang! The drive is his shot and he brings it out! Loopy ball outside off, Kohli drives this one handsomely through the cover region to collect four runs.
3.6 : 3.6: Axar Patel to Aaron Finch, OUT! CAUGHT! Finch's luck can only ride him so far and he will have to walk back to the pavilion now. He looked to defend this one but knicked it off instead. He was given lifelines and should have punished Delhi for the same but he goes back doing not a lot to dent Delhi's hopes of losing this game. Axar bowls a loopy ball around off, spinning away, Finch looks to defend this one but he misses and it kisses his outside edge and Pant makes no mistake in taking thi
4.1 : 4.1: Harshal Patel to Virat Kohli, FOUR! Kohli flicks this one well and Bangalore need some more of these. On a full length around leg, Kolhi flicks this one off his pads towards the deep square leg region to collect four runs.
4.6 : 4.6: Harshal Patel to AB de Villiers, FOUR! This was in the air but luckily for de Villiers and Bangalore it will run away to the fence. On a good length around off, de Villiers slams this one slightly uppish past the man at mid off for a boundary.
5.4 : 5.4: Anrich Nortje to AB de Villiers, FOUR! ABD has slammed this! This is bowled on a good length around off, ABD slams this one over the cover region fine and it will cross the fence for a boundary.
5.5 : 5.5: Anrich Nortje to AB de Villiers, OUT! CAUGHT! Is this good night for Bangalore? They have lost their Mr. 360 AB de Villiers and now things are looking a bit rough for Bangalore. This is a big wicket for Delhi. Short of a length ball around off, de Villiers looks to pull but gets a top edge and it goes towards mid on. Dhawan settles under this one and takes a good catch to send back de Villiers.
6.5: Ravichandran Ashwin to Moeen Ali, FOUR! Moeen Ali has played this one very well. He will be looking to step up now along with Kohli. Loopy on middle, Ali sweeps this one fine towards the deep square leg region for a boundary.
11.6 : 11.6: Axar Patel to Moeen Ali, OUT! CAUGHT! Axar strikes again! The pressure was telling and a big shot was not coming. Moeen was looking fidgety and perishes. A short ball, around middle, Ali comes down the track and looks to pull. He does connect but there is not enough power behind the shot. It is a large boundary and Shimron Hetmyer takes it calmly at deep mid-wicket. The 32-run stand is broken.
12.1 : 12.1: Harshal Patel to Virat Kohli, SIX! Finally some aggression from Kohli! A length ball, around off, Kohli sashays down the track and swings it high into the night sky and wayyyyy into the long on stands! That didn't look like a shot in anger though.
12.4 : 12.4: Harshal Patel to Washington Sundar, FOUR! That is quality from the birthday boy. He opens in the Tamil Nadu Premier League and this shows why. The off cutter goes wrong. Full and outside off, Sundar leans and drives this uppishly, wide of mid off and gets a boundary.
13.3 : 13.3: Kagiso Rabada to Virat Kohli, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Is that the game? You would believe it is. A length ball, outside off, Kohli plays an ungainly hack across the line. All he manages is a thin inside edge which just about carries to Rishabh Pant behind. Delhi are pumped up. They are way ahead in this game but this wicket would make them believe that they are going to top the table tonight.
14.5 : 14.5: Ravichandran Ashwin to Shivam Dube, SIX! Some power in that. Full and outside off, Dube gets underneath it and swings it miles over mid-wicket!
15.1 : 15.1: Kagiso Rabada to Washington Sundar, FOUR! Cheeky! A length ball, outside off, Sundar goes back and ramps it over short third man for a boundary!
15.3 : 15.3: Kagiso Rabada to Washington Sundar, FOUR! Nice shot. Fuller, around off, Sundar lofts it straight back over the bowler. Mid off is up and it results in a boundary.
15.6 : 15.6: Kagiso Rabada to Washington Sundar, OUT! CAUGHT! Sundar departs and Rabada has his second. A short ball, slower in pace, Sundar looks to pull but is done in by the angle and the height. He is cramped for room and mistimes his shot straight to mid-wicket inside the circle, where Ravichandran Ashwin completes the catch.
17.1 : 17.1: Kagiso Rabada to Shivam Dube, OUT! BOWLED! Oh yes, Rabadaaaaaaaaaa... He loves bowling at the death. Just understands what the batsman is thinking. Targets the stumps and bowls on a length. Dube swings but misses. The ball doesn't. Timberrrr.
17.3 : 17.3: Kagiso Rabada to Isuru Udana, OUT! CAUGHT! Udana departs as well. Rabada gets four. A length ball, outside off, Udana backs a long way to his right and looks to go up and above. He definitely goes up but not beyond. Iyer runs back from cover and takes it.
18.4 : 18.4: Anrich Nortje to Mohammed Siraj, FOUR! Not a bad ball at all. Siraj backs away to the leg side and Nortje fires in a yorker. But Siraj gets it on the full and squeezes it behind point!
18.6 : 18.6: Anrich Nortje to Mohammed Siraj, OUT! BOWLED! Thanks for coming. Full and straight, in line of the stumps, Siraj backs away and looks to push. Misses.
19.2 : 19.2: Harshal Patel to Navdeep Saini, FOUR! Nice shot. A length ball, around off, Saini backs away and slaps it over the bowler. The ball goes high in the air and lands just in front of the ropes in front of the sightscreen.
