Wow! What an absolute carnage! Punjab have hit 96 runs in the final five overs and have made a tremendous comeback here. Mumbai now have an uphill task to make it four wins in four games. It is a good chasing ground but Punjab are surely going to the break with a big smile on their face.
Wankhede is known as a batting paradise and Punjab needed their batters to step up in this game and that is exactly what they have done. They lost Matthew Short early but Prabhsimran Singh and Atharva Taide kept going and played some delightful shots. Punjab scored 58 runs in the Powerplay but then came the familiar Punjab’s batting struggle. From 65-1, they were reduced to 83-4 and then Curran and Harpreet Singh struggled initially to get going. The score was 118-4 at the end of 15th over a
Mumbai have a young bowling attack and it showed at the death today. They did manage to pull things back nicely in the middle overs with Arjun Tendulkar nailing a yorker to get rid of Prabhsimran Singh and Piyush Chawla delivering another good spell. However, the same Arjun Tendulkar gave 31 runs in his third over and no other bowler could stop the onslaught after that. Mumbai now need their batters to pull off a special effort but they also need to look at their death bowling going forward.
Jitesh Sharma is down for a quick chat. He starts by saying that his preparations have helped him to do well tonight. Adds that there no difference in his role since the last season. He has been given the freedom to play his style. Hopes that he expresses well with the bat on a consistent basis and helps his side whenever required.
Right then, Mumbai have a humongous task in front of them. They do have a powerful batting line-up though and we could be in for a cracker of a chase. This is a big six-hitting ground and we can never rule out Mumbai at the Wankhede. Stay tuned for the run-chase!

Punjab will be delighted with these 2 points! Arshdeep Singh put his hands up in the final over, and he snapped the middle stump twice on consecutive deliveries and sent a dagger through the heart of every Mumbai fan. Earlier in the innings, Mumbai had the opposition by the scruff of the neck, at 83-4 in the 10th over. Although, there was a twist in the tale when Arjun Tendulkar went for 31 runs in the 16th over. Thereafter, the Punjab batters only dealt in boundaries till the very end and managed to post a target of 215 runs. Piyush Chawla was the lone star with the ball with his economical spell and two wickets. In reply, Mumbai fought really hard but could not get over the line.
