Pitch Report - Murali Kartik is down for the pitch report along with Sunil Gavaskar. Kartik says it is a big ground. Mr. Gavaskar suggests that there will be a bit of turn for the spinners. Further says the grass has come off a little and if the ball lands in that area, the spinners will get more purchase. Adds that the surface is crumbly and dry. Suggests that both these captains would want to chase because that has been a proven winning formula for them.

So, India have set a target of 175 for Bangladesh to chase down and it will not be an easy task. However, with the dew around, we cannot say anything.
India had a rocky start as skipper Rohit Sharma was dismissed early on. However, Dhawan and Rahul steadied the ship and started playing their strokes after a while. The main stand came between Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul who both scored half and stitched a very good partnership. India stuttered at the end due to the fall of wickets but managed to end on a good total.
The Bangladesh bowlers had a tough night all round. Only Al-Amin Hossain and Soumya Sarkar came out with good performances. Other than them, the bowling was pretty dour.

The innings started in one of the worst ways for Bangladesh as they lost Sarkar and Das on consecutive balls. However, after that it was the Mithun and Naim show as they stitched a 98-run stand. But as soon soon as Mithun departed, the landslide started. Rahim followed him on the very next delivery and after that, it was India all along. Talking about the Indian bowling, there was only one star, Deepak Chahar. His figures of 3.2-0-7-6 are the best T20I figures of all time. He was the game changer for India as he just kept sending the Bangladesh batters back into the dugout. Chahar was very well supported by Shivam Dube who came back strongly after his first spell and took 3 wickets, including the main wicket of Mohammad Naim. Shreyas Iyer and Shivam Dube are down for an interview with Sanjay Manjrekar.
