Match over
2.1 : 2.1: B Khan to N Khan, FOUR! First boundary of the game! Slapped through the off side. Width on offer by Bilal and Nizakat takes full toll of it. He throws his hands at it and gets it through covers for a boundary.
3.4 : 3.4: F Butt to A Khan, OUT! CHOPPED ON! The skipper for Hong Kong departs cheaply again. Fayyaz bowls a short ball outside off, it is slow in pace and stays a touch low after pitching. Aizaz looks to pull it powerfully towards the leg side but he manages to get just an inside edge on it and chops it onto the leg pole. A good start for Oman after electing to bowl first.
4.6 : 4.6: A Ilyas to K Shah, FOUR! A poor ball to end the over! It is short and on middle, Kinchit goes back and pulls it through mid-wicket. Spoils what was a top over till then.
6.6: A Ilyas to N Khan, SIX! First maximum of the game! Nizakat Khan dances down the track and slams this floated delivery on middle and leg over the mid-wicket fence. That is the largest part of the ground and there is a man there but he times it superbly and clears the fence with ease.
8.2 : 8.2: A Kaleem to K Shah, OUT! In the air... and straight to the man! The fielder in the deep did not have to move an inch. Kinchit thought he could take on the left-arm spinner with the ball turning into him. He brings out the slog sweep. The boundaries here are long so he really needed to hit it well. Does not do so and it goes straight to the man at deep mid-wicket where Singh takes it and then does the Dhawan celebration. Poor shot selection to be honest, that ball was a little too full to pl
9.1 : 9.1: K Ali to H Arshad, OUT! Caught and bowled! We saw Kaleem pick a wicket on the second ball of his first over and now Ali takes one on the first ball of his first over. A soft, soft dismissal. That was a nothing delivery from Ali. A loosener. Short and on middle, Arshad could have hit it anywhere. He though ends up playing the pull shot very early. It goes off the bottom edge and straight back towards the bowler who may not have been expecting it. The ball hits his shoulder and to his luck po
10.5 : 10.5: A Kaleem to N Khan, OUT! STUMPED ON THE SECOND ATTEMPT! Nizakat looks to come down the track but Kaleem does well to spot that. He bowls a flatter one way outside off and Nizakat misses it. The keeper collects it and tries to whip the bails off but misses in the first attempt. However, he has enough time to make amends and whips the bails off on the second attempt. A big blow for Hong Kong as the set batsman Nizakat departs.
11.6 : 11.6: K Ali to S McKechnie, OUT! Another one bites the dust! Half the side back in the hut and the score is just 5 more than 60. McKechnie brings out the reverse sweep as he looks to be innovative. He though ends up hitting it straight to point where Aqib takes a sharp catch. The hole keeps getting deeper for Hong Kong.
14.3 : 14.3: Z Maqsood to W Barkat, FOUR! Graceful shot this one! Floated ball just outside off, Barkat makes room and goes inside out over the cover region for a beautiful boundary.
14.6 : 14.6: Z Maqsood to W Barkat, OUT! RUN OUT! Suicidal stuff from Hong Kong here! There was never a run there but the pressure must be getting to the batsman now. Shortish ball outside off, Barkat cuts this one just wide of the man at point. Aqib Ilyas there collects it and throws it on the go to the keeper who whips the bails off in a flash. Singh is well short despite his dive and he has to depart. Getting to 120 looks like a task from here now.
15.4 : 15.4: K Ali to W Barkat, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Sharp catch by Khawar Ali! He gives this one on middle and off, gives it a bit of air. Barkat gets onto the back foot and looks to push it back past the bowler but does so uppishly. He does not time it well and Khawar Ali takes a sharp catch diving to his right. Hong Kong lose their seventh wicket and they are collapsing dramatically.
16.6 : 16.6: A Kaleem to E Khan, OUT! Chops it on! No. 8 is down. Kaleem ends his spell with a wicket. This is flatter and outside off, Khan hangs his bat out away from the body. The ball hits the inside edge and shatters the stumps behind. Can Oman bowl them out under 100?
18.6: F Butt to S Wasif, OUT! CAUGHT! Shahid Wasif departs and Hong Kong are 99 for 9 now! Fayyaz bowls another slower delivery on a good length outside off. Wasif tries to smash it down the ground but mistimes it. Aamir Kaleem runs in from long off and takes the catch. Fayyaz Butt finishes with figures of 3-016-12 and he has been top notch today. Hong Kong struggling to cross the 100-run mark.
19.6: B Khan to K Christie, OUT! RUN OUT! So Hong Kong have been bowled out for 102! The last ball is a full one on middle. The batter swings but it goes off the inner half towards the leg side. They take one and go for the second which was not on. The fielder from mid-wicket picks the ball up and underarms it to the keeper who whips the bails off.
0.4 : 0.4: A Khan to J Singh, FOUR! Glorious cover drive! Full ball wide outside off, Jatinder leans into the drive and creams it through the cover region. Trudges towards the fence.
0.5 : 0.5: A Khan to J Singh, FOUR! Nonchalant flick now! On the pads now, Jatinder flicks this one in the gap at mid-wicket for another boundary.
3.1 : 3.1: E Khan to K Ali, FOUR! Full and floated on off, Khawar Ali glamarously drives this one through extra cover for a boundary. Oman cruising along.
3.2 : 3.2: E Khan to K Ali, SIX! Now a maximum! First one of this innings! Floated on middle and off, Ali smashes this one down the ground over the long off fence for a biggie.
5.4 : 5.4: K Shah to K Ali, OUT! CAUGHT! Brilliant catch by Aizaz Khan! Kinchit floats this one towards the off side, Ali looks to smash this one over the bowler's head but does not connect well. It goes off the bottom half up in the air past mid off. Aizaz Khan, the skipper runs back and takes a very good catch. Hong Kong get the breakthrough but this looks like a hiccup in the run chase rather than anything else.
5.6 : 5.6: K Shah to J Singh, FOUR! Swept away! Kinchit bowls this one down the leg side, Jatinder gets down on one knee and sweeps this one towards backward point for a boundary.
6.6: A Khan to J Singh, FOUR! Finds the gap! Spoils what was a good over till then. This is on a length and around off, Singh stands tall and strokes it on the up through covers for a boundary.
7.1 : 7.1: E Khan to A Ilyas, OUT! RUN OUT! A huge mix-up, the bowler almost made a mess of it but in the end, he did what he had to. This is fired on off, Ilyas pushes it towards point. Singh wants a run and rushes towards the other end. The striker is not interested. Singh is at the point of no return. The man at point gets to the ball and throws it to the bowler who does not collect it cleanly. The batter though was a long way out and hence, he had time to pick it up again and whip the bails off. H
8.5 : 8.5: W Barkat to A Kaleem, OUT! Drags it on! Three down now are Oman. Maybe, just maybe, Hong Kong have an opening here. Barkat makes an impact straightaway. Excellent bowling change. This is tossed up slower outside off. Kaleem looks to sweep it but gets an inside edge onto the stumps. 57 more needed in 67.
9.6 : 9.6: E Khan to Z Maqsood, EDGY FOUR! That went like a rocket past the slip fielder. Shorter and quicker outside off. The batter throws his bat at it but the ball flies off the outside edge and down to the third man fence.
11.2 : 11.2: E Khan to Z Maqsood, FOUR! Plays the sweep shot brilliantly this time. Full and on the pads, Maqsood gets down on one knee and gets the sweep behind square on the leg side for a boundary.
12.1 : 12.1: W Barkat to A Ilyas, FOUR! Another sweep shot and another boundary. This time by Ilyas. It is on the leg pole, it is hit behind square on the leg side for a boundary.
12.6 : 12.6: W Barkat to A Ilyas, FOUR! Runs flowing now! A huge over this, 12 from it. A poor ball, short and outside off, Ilyas goes back and cracks it through covers.
14.4 : 14.4: W Barkat to A Ilyas, FOUR! In the air... but just wide! Good effort in the deep. This is given a lot of air and it lands on middle, Ilyas lofts it straight down the ground. The fielder at long on runs to his left and then dives but can't reach the ball.
15.3 : 15.3: K Shah to Z Maqsood, FOUR! Straight down the ground! Maqsood comes down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and smashes it down the ground for a boundary.
15.4 : 15.4: K Shah to Z Maqsood, FOUR! Runs needed below 10 now. Back-to-back boundary. The sweep shot comes out, it is played nicely. In the gap in the mid-wicket region for a boundary.
17.3 : 17.3: N Rana to A Ilyas, FOUR! Ilyas finishes if off in style! Short and outside off, Ilyas upper cuts it to the third man fence. OMAN WIN BY 7 WICKETS!
