Strategic break! Topsy-turvy start here as the ball swung quite a bit for Mohammad Shami early on and he found it difficult to control the swing as well. Shami adjusted well and picked up a couple of big wickets for Gujarat but after that, David Warner has settled down well and is leading the fightback for Delhi. The game is evenly poised at the moment and it will be interesting to see how Rashid Khan bowls as he is yet to come into the attack. A crucial middle phase awaits.
8.1 : Alzarri Joseph to David Warner, On a good length and on off. David Warner defends it toward point.
8.2 : Alzarri Joseph to David Warner, OUT! CHOPPED ON! The Delhi skipper departs! Delhi lose their third and a big one here as Warner walks back after a start for 37.
Rilee Rossouw is the new man in.
Is that a catch? Alzarri Joseph has completely surprised Rilee Rossouw here with the short ball and Rahul Tewatia seems to have taken a sensational catch. The umpires have gone upstairs to check. The replays show that indeed Tewatia has his hands underneath the ball and the decision on the big screen is OUT!
8.3 : Alzarri Joseph to Rilee Rossouw, OUT! WICKET! TAKEN! 146 kmph! A sharp bouncer around off. This was around the chin height as Rilee Rossouw looked to fend it away but the ball takes the splice of the blade and flies away toward the point. Rahul Tewatia runs in from the point and takes a brilliant low catch to his right to dismiss Rossouw for a golden duck. Delhi are in some trouble now. They have lost two of their big-match players off back-to-back balls.

Khan is beaten for raw pace and the ball lobs up after pinging the sticker on the helmet. End of a solid cameo from Axar and Shami has his third wicket.
Anrich Nortje is the new man in.
19.6 : Mohammad Shami to Anrich Nortje, FOUR! Anrich Nortje ends the inning with a boundary and Delhi take a bit of momentum with them. Another one that is banged in, Anrich Nortje comes down the track and forces the flat-batted shot well over mid off for a boundary. Delhi finish with 162/8 on the board!
Rashid Khan was again the pick of the Gujarat bowlers with 3 for 31 in his spell. Mohammad Shami was excellent too and ended with 3 for 41. But it was Alzarri Joseph who bowled a fiery spell in the middle overs and took the big wickets of David Warner and Rilee Rossouw to put Gujarat on top of things. Gujarat will be pleased with their bowling effort and will now look to start strong with the bat.
Sarfaraz Khan is down for a chat. Sarfaraz says that there has been some rain in the last few days and the outfield and the wicket changed a bit due to that. Adds that there was uneven bounce and swing early on. Says that according to the wicket, this is a decent score and the outfield is a bit slow as well and if they bowl well early on, they can win.
Right then, the target for Gujarat is 163 but there will be help for the Delhi seamers early on. Can they do it and make it two wins out of two or will Anrich Nortje and co come hard at Gujarat to defend this? We shall find out soon. The second essay coming up shortly.
... The Run Chase ...
Some fine hitting from Axar Patel at the end has got Delhi to 162 for 8 in their 20 overs. Having put into bat first, Delhi got off to a scratchy start. Prithvi Shaw and Mitchell Marsh failed to impress once again. Delhi were two down inside the first five overs. David Warner and Sarfaraz Khan steadied the innings for a while but Gujarat came roaring back and reduced Delhi to 67 for 4.
