This has been a clinical bowling performance by Chennai and they have done well to keep Rajasthan under 180. After the visitors were put in to bat first, Yashasvi Jaiswal got going straightaway with a couple of crisp boundaries. The Chennai bowlers have vindicated their skipper's decision of bowling first and how. As he did against Mumbai, Tushar Deshpande struck early for Chennai once again, accounting for Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, they were unable to keep the pressure on the opposition batters and leaked a lot of runs in the Powerplay. Moreover, the errors in the field did not help their cause either. Jos Buttler is in for a chat. He says that the pitch was really good at the start, but it slowed down. Adds that it is important to take advantage of the Powerplay but they lost a few early wickets so he decided to take the game deeper. Praises Jadeja and tells that he bowls very quick and when it turns it is hard to play him. Mentions that they have Ashwin, Chahal and Zampa who are outstanding spinners and this wicket looks like would help them.
Right then, Chennai will feel that they are slightly ahead in the game but this chase could well turn out to be a tricky one considering the nature of the wicket. On the other hand, Rajasthan would have liked a few runs more but they have good spinners in their ranks to dismantle the Chennai batting unit. Can Rajasthan defend this total and climb to the top of the standings? We shall find out shortly. Back in a bit for the chase...
