| A remarkable fightback from the Windies has seen them posting a really good total on the board. Asked to bat, they didn't get off to a good start and things looked bleak when they lost 5 wickets with the scorecard reading just 83. |
| It seemed like the Irish bowlers will run through the batting line-up but it wasn't meant to be. Skipper Holder and Powell then joined forces to keep the Irish at bay. They took their time to settle, got reprieves and then made the opposition pay. They stitched a valuable 86-run stand for the 6th wicket which put the Windies back on track. |
