Match over
1.4 : 1.4: U Yadav to S Dhawan, FOUR! Short and it was the slower one. Dhawan picked it early and pulled it through mid-wicket for the first boundary of the game.
1.6 : 1.6: U Yadav to A Hales, FOUR! The extra ball has cost Umesh Yadav. Also it was a bad extra ball. Full and on off, it was once again the slower one. Hales picks it early and lofts it over mid off for the second boundary of the over. An expensive first over by Umesh.
2.3 : 2.3: Tim Southee to A Hales, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Southee draws first blood! The cross seamer on middle, Hales tries to work it across the line leaving a gap between the bat and pad. It sneaks through it and uproots the middle pole. An early wicket for Bangalore and it is the big one of the dangerous Hales.
2.4 : 2.4: Tim Southee to K Williamson, FOUR! A gift to receive first up and Williamson says thank you so much. A half-volley down the leg side. Kane helps it on its way and it races down to the fine leg fence.
4.3 : 4.3: Tim Southee to K Williamson, FOUR! Just as I write that, Southee offers a hit-me ball. Slower ball and on the fuller side. Williamson leans into it and drives it through covers for a boundary. They needed that Hyderabad.
5.5 : 5.5: M Siraj to S Dhawan, OUT! Something had to give and Shikhar departs in the attempt to find the fence. All those dots have brought about Dhawan's downfall. Siraj bowled it very full on the last ball and this time he bangs it short on middle. Dhawan takes on the challenge of pulling it but gets a top edge which goes to the only man out on the leg side. Tim Southee at deep square leg, runs to his right and takes a fine catch. Second wicket in the Powerplay for Bangalore as they have sent both
8.2 : 8.2: Y Chahal to M Pandey, OUT! Excellent captaincy but a very soft dismissal. Virat Kohli had placed himself at short covers for Pandey and he gives him a dolly of a catch. Chahal tosses it up on middle, it turns and also sticks in the wicket a touch. Pandey is early into his drive and he hits it uppishly towards Kohli who takes an easy catch. Pandey's poor tournament continues as his wicket deepens Hyderabad's hole here.
9.2: M Ali to Al Hasan, FOUR! Excellent but a very risky shot there. He had to connect or he was a goner. Ali fires this on off, Shakib uses the depth of the crease and cuts it very fine past the diving point fielder for a boundary.
9.3 : 9.3: M Ali to Al Hasan, FOUR! Now uses his feet, expecting the bowler to toss it up. He gets to the pitch of it and lofts it over the bowler's head for back-to-back boundaries.
10.2 : 10.2: Y Chahal to K Williamson, FOUR! Good shot! Yuzi pushes it a bit quicker through the air, a bit short in length on middle, Kane sits down on one knee and pulls it through square leg for a boundary.
11.1 : 11.1: de Grandhomme to Al Hasan, FOUR! Flayed away! Short and wide outside off, a loosener to begin with for de Grandhomme. Shakib slaps it behind point and it blazes away to the fence.
13.4 : 13.4: U Yadav to K Williamson, FOUR! Too straight and gets the treatment! Yadav strangles one around the pads, Williamson shuffles a touch and whips it fine down the leg side for a boundary.
13.6 : 13.6: U Yadav to K Williamson, SIX! Freebie and Williamson dumps one away! Full toss on the leg stump, Kane whips it over fine leg to send it over the fence for half a dozen. Moves into the 40s with that. A good over for Hyderabad as 14 came off it.
14.2 : 14.2: Y Chahal to K Williamson, SIX! Slogged away in style! Williamson is playing another blinder here! Chahal tosses one a bit wider outside off, Kane sits down, fetches it from there and slog sweeps it cleanly over mid-wicket for his second maximum in as many balls. Moves to 49 with that.
15.3 : 15.3: U Yadav to K Williamson, FOUR! Reads the slower one and hits it well. He waits back and lofts it over extra cover for a boundary all the way. He's changing the gears now.
15.6 : 15.6: U Yadav to K Williamson, OUT! Umesh Yadav picks up a wicket and equals Hardik Pandya in the list of the leading wicket-takers this season. It's the huge wicket of Williamson. Slower delivery on the stumps, Kane gets across to play the paddle scoop but all he manages is a mistimed shot. The ball goes high in the air and Mandeep Singh at deep backward square leg settles nicely under it. Oh wait. They check for the front foot no ball. It was a really close call but the TV umpire feels Umesh h
16.2 : 16.2: M Siraj to Al Hasan, FOUR! Off the middle this time! Shakib needs to keep going now. Swivels across to this length delivery and hits it powerfully past the man at square who is inside the circle for a boundary.
16.4 : 16.4: M Siraj to Al Hasan, FOUR! Risky shot but it pays off. Shakib Al Hasan shuffles way across to this delivery on middle and scoops it wide of the man at short fine leg for the second boundary of the over.
17.2 : 17.2: Tim Southee to Al Hasan, OUT! Straight to square leg! Another timely wicket for Bangalore as they remove another set batsman. Southee takes the pace off, delivers it around middle and leg. Shakib stays put inside the crease and has a swing across the line. It goes straight into the hands of Umesh Yadav at square leg who takes it easily.
17.4 : 17.4: Tim Southee to Y Pathan, FOUR! Too predictable and Pathan does the right thing. Gets across a touch to this slower short ball and helps it over short fine leg for a boundary.
17.5 : 17.5: Tim Southee to Y Pathan, FOUR! Top edge and it's gone even finer! That will do for Hyderabad. Once again Southee doles out a cutter, it's the shorter one around leg. Pathan looks to pull but gets it off the top edge over the keeper for successive boundaries.
18.1 : 18.1: M Siraj to Y Pathan, OUT! The leg pole goes cartwheeling! Siraj leaps in the air and then punches it in joy. Dream delivery if you are a bowler. He drops it around middle and off and it nips back in with some pace on it. Pathan has a swing across the line but is done in for the pace and sees his leg stump going for a walk.
18.3 : 18.3: M Siraj to W Saha, SIX! What a shot from Saha! Siraj misses his yorker but just, Saha makes room, gets down on one knee and belts it over mid off for a maximum. It was a clean hit.
18.6 : 18.6: M Siraj to W Saha, OUT! Knocked him over! That's sheer pace and Siraj is all pumped. He gets the revenge as he was taken for a biggie from Saha. Good length delivery, curling back in at 146 kph, Saha walks across the stumps to scoop it away but misses and the stumps are shattered behind. 9 off the over and two wickets off it.
19.2 : 19.2: Tim Southee to R Khan, OUT! Run out! Back of a length delivery, Rashid Khan gets it off the high portion of the bat. The ball lands safely in the mid-wicket region and they try to come back for another. Kohli charges in, collects it on the bounce and fires an accurate throw to Patel who takes the bails off. Khan wasn't even in the frame.
19.5 : 19.5: Tim Southee to B Kumar, OUT! Another run out and it's Kohli again. Don't you dare to take on his arm. Kumar swipes across the line and the ball goes towards deep mid-wicket. They look for another but Kumar sends him back. Virat returns a good flat throw to Patel who takes the bails off. Replays show Kaul is well short.
19.6 : 19.6: Tim Southee to S Sharma, OUT! The on-field call will be overturned! Good review from Southee! Sandeep Sharma tries to play the reverse paddle but wears it on the pads. The ball rolls towards the leg side and they cross for a leg bye. Southee appeals but it's turned down by the umpire. They take the DRS and Ball Tracker shows the impact is in line and it would have hit the stumps. HYDERABAD BOWLED OUT FOR 146!
1.1 : 1.1: B Kumar to P Patel, FOUR! Wrong line to start off with by Kumar. On the pads. It is bread and butter stuff for Parthiv there as he flicks it through square leg and the ball races away.
1.5 : 1.5: B Kumar to P Patel, FOUR! Poor effort in the field! Parthiv walks down the track and gets a full ball outside off. He hits it towards mid on. The fielder there dives over the ball and then the ball races away. Second boundary from the over.
2.3 : 2.3: Al Hasan to P Patel, FOUR! Nails the sweep this time. On middle, Parthiv goes down on one knee and sweeps it through mid-wicket for a boundary.
2.4 : 2.4: Al Hasan to P Patel, FOUR! It is never a good idea to get a left-arm spinner against a left handed batsman and Parthiv is showing exactly why. Shakib tosses it up again on middle, Parthiv goes over mid on this time for a boundary. Consecutive ones.
2.5 : 2.5: Al Hasan to P Patel, OUT! Shakib has the last laugh and the way he celebrated it shows how much that means to him. Hyderabad needed this. Shakib fires this one on middle. Parthiv once again goes for the sweep but this time he misses to get hit on the pads. The players appeal and the umpire after giving it a thought raises his finger. So a good little innings by Parthiv comes to an end. he has provided Bangalore with a start here.
3.2 : 3.2: B Kumar to V Kohli, FOUR! All timing this was! Full and on off, Kohli leans into it and strokes it through covers. Beating two fielders who dived for it. One at short covers and the other at mid off for a boundary.
4.3 : 4.3: Al Hasan to V Kohli, FOUR! A half-tracker and Kohli pounces on it. He pulls it over mid-wicket and fetches himself a boundary.
4.4 : 4.4: Al Hasan to V Kohli, SIX! That has gone all the way! What a shot! Uses his feet to get to the pitch of the ball and tonks it over long on for a biggie. 10 from the last two deliveries.
4.5 : 4.5: Al Hasan to V Kohli, FOUR! Make that 14! Deft from Kohli. Flatter and outside off, Kohli waits for it and guides it through short third man for a boundary.
5.1 : 5.1: S Kaul to V Kohli, FOUR! Kohli is on the charge here! He is taking full toll of the Powerplay. Comes down the track to a length ball and whips it over the mid-wicket fielder for another boundary.
7.1: S Sharma to M Vohra, OUT! CHOPPED IT ON! Very unfortunate for Manan Vohra but Sandeep won't mind at all. He strikes off his first ball of his new spell. A much-needed wicket for Hyderabad. It is the slower one on the pads, Vohra shuffles across and goes for the slog sweep. The ball however, hits his gloves, the goes onto hit his pads, lobs up and hits the back of the bat and then rolls onto the stumps. Vohra can't believe it as he stands there in disbelief. He has to walk off though and the
8.2 : 8.2: R Khan to V Kohli, DROPPED AND FOUR! Kohli has been dropped and it is his opposite number who has scuffed it. Has he dropped the game? The leg spinner on off, it turns away. Kohli tries to push it through the off side but gets an outside edge towards first slip. Williamson there gets low but only manages to get fingers to it as the ball goes through his legs and races away to the third man fence. Rashid now has two catches dropped off his bowling.
9.5 : 9.5: Al Hasan to V Kohli, OUT! WHAT A CATCH! Yusuf Pathan, you beauty! Shakib gets the big fish. Once again the bowling change works wonders for Williamson. This is bowled flatter on off, Kohli tries to whip it through mid-wicket but gets an outside edge which lobs towards Pathan at short third man. For a second it seemed like it would go over him but he times his leap to perfection, stretches his right hand out and the ball sticks. Outstanding! Another dropped catch has not cost a lot and Kohli
10.1 : 10.1: R Khan to M Ali, FOUR! Edged and a boundary! Short and outside off, Ali goes for the cut but the ball takes the outside edge. Goes over the slip fielder and into the fence.
10.4 : 10.4: R Khan to de Villiers, OUT! TIMBER! The two superstars for Bangalore are back in the hut in two overs. Once again it is the googly which does the trick. He survived a scare on the last ball but this time sees his stumps getting knocked over. Rashid gets his first but he could have had three by now. It is the wrong 'un outside off. It turns back in and once again ABD fails to pick it. He goes back to cut but gets a bottom edge which deflects onto the stumps. Bangalore in huge trouble now as
11.1 : 11.1: S Kaul to M Ali, FOUR! Almost another! Inside edge! Kaul slants it away on a length outside off, Ali with no feet movement goes after it. Gets an inside edge as the ball just about evades the leg pole and scoots down to the fine leg fence for a streaky boundary.
11.4 : 11.4: S Kaul to M Ali, OUT! Another one bites the dust! Half the side back in the hut for Bangalore. What a turnaround this match has seen here. Three wickets in the last three overs. Another bowling change does the trick. The debutant's stay is a short one. This is on a length and around off, it angles away further. Moeen goes for the pull but the ball takes the bottom edge and goes into the mitts of Saha. He takes it and appeals. Kaul is seen pleading. The umpire gives it a thought and raises
14.6 : 14.6: S Sharma to M Singh, FOUR! He's hit that alright! Oh dear! Sloppiness from Kaul in the deep. Holds back to a slower length delivery and pulls it off the middle through mid-wicket. Kaul in the deep comes across to his left and lets the ball through his hands for a boundary. 9 off the over, a fruitful one for Bangalore.
16.2 : 16.2: R Khan to de Grandhomme, SIX! Goodness me! That is brute force from the Kiwi! Googly again on the shorter side, Colin de Grandhomme stays put and whips it across the line. The ball dashes flush on the adverting cushion and it's a maximum. Wow.
16.3 : 16.3: R Khan to de Grandhomme, SIX! Back-to-back maximums and Bangalore have come alive. Tossed up around middle and off, Colin sits down and slog sweeps this one. It sails over a leaping Dhawan at deep mid-wicket for another biggie. He is turning it on here.
17.3: B Kumar to de Grandhomme, FOUR! Fortune is favoring Bangalore here! This is an excellent delivery. A yorker on off. Colin tries to jam it out but gets a bottoem edge past the keeper for a boundary. 20 from 15.
19.6 : 19.6: B Kumar to de Grandhomme, OUT! HYDERABAD HAVE WON IT BY 5 RUNS! Just how do you hit those over the fence? Just, how? Take a bow, Kumar. An exceptional penultimate over has been followed by an even better last over by one of the best death bowlers going around. A yorker to end everything and it is outside off. De Grandhomme walks across and tries to flick but he only manages to get a thick inside edge onto his stumps.
