Match over
1.2 : 1.2: C Woakes to A Rahane, FOUR! First of the game! Top shot this by Rahane! The key here was he picked the length early. Woakes bowls this one a touch short on middle, Rahane transfers his weight on the back foot and pulls it over mid-wicket and the ball races away. Rahane is looking to score right from the out set. Good by the Rajasthan skipper.
2.4 : 2.4: W Sundar to A Rahane, FOUR! Swept and swept fine! Sundar bowls it on middle again. Rahane is a good player of spin and he is showing that. He goes down on one knee and sweeps it through square leg for a boundary.
2.5 : 2.5: W Sundar to A Rahane, SIX! Stand and deliver! This approach is working quite nicely for Rahane. Sundar tosses this up on middle, Rahane makes room and lofts it over mid on and the ball sails over the fence for a biggie. 10 from the last two balls.
3.4 : 3.4: U Yadav to A Rahane, FOUR! Rahane on the charge! He makes room again, Yadav follows him but bowls it a touch full. Too easy for Ajinkya as he whips it over mid-wicket for another boundary.
3.6 : 3.6: U Yadav to A Rahane, FOUR! Dealing in boundaries is Rahane! Rajasthan are off to a very good start. End of another good over for them. Yadav once again makes the mistake of bowling it to full and on the pads. Rahane flicks it through mid-wicket and there is no stopping that ball.
4.3 : 4.3: Y Chahal to A Rahane, FOUR! Once again plays the sweep shot to perfection! Chahal tosses this one up on middle, Rahane goes down on one knee and sweeps it uppishly but in the gap in the mid-wicket region.
4.6 : 4.6: Y Chahal to D Short, FOUR! Short does not want to be left out as he joins the party! He gets a full ball, a very full one so the spin is out of contention. D'Arcy hits it straight back past the bowler to end the over with a boundary. So 35 from the last three overs.
5.3 : 5.3: C Woakes to A Rahane, FOUR! EASY PICKINGS! Down the leg side, a hit me ball. Rahane says thank you so much and lofts it over short fine leg for another boundary.
5.4 : 5.4: C Woakes to A Rahane, OUT! In the air...caught! Woakes draws first blood! A much-needed wicket for Bangalore, especially after the start Rajasthan have got. Woakes bowls it slower and on a fuller length on middle. Rahane who has played really attacking till now once again tries to go big. He however, does not time it that well as it goes off the toe end towards mid on. Umesh Yadav there takes a couple of steps back and pouches it easily. The crowd here erupts but a good innings and a good o
6.5 : 6.5: Y Chahal to D Short, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! For a change he has not been run out but still fails to make an impact. It is bowled short and quicker outside off, Short should have put that away with a cut shot. He tries to do exactly that but the ball takes the outside edge and goes into the mitts of de Kock who takes a good catch. So two quick wickets for Bangalore now and they are on top now.
7.4 : 7.4: K Khejroliya to S Samson, SIX! ALL THE WAY! Slightly short on the body, Samson stands tall and pulls it over the square leg fence for a biggie. This should release the pressure a little.
9.6 : 9.6: U Yadav to Ben Stokes, FOUR! Good placement and a good finish to the over! Short again on middle, Stokes walks across and whips it through mid-wicket for a boundary.
10.1 : 10.1: W Sundar to S Samson, SIX! STAND AND DELIVER! What a shot! Sundar bowls it on middle, it is flat and at a good pace for the batsman. Samason stands tall, trusts the pitch and lofts it over long on for a biggie.
11.2 : 11.2: K Khejroliya to Ben Stokes, FOUR! This time he gets the timing right! Excellent placement! On a length outside off, Stokes guides it through backward point and with the third man up that is a boundary all day.
11.3 : 11.3: K Khejroliya to Ben Stokes, SIX! This is even better! Stokes on the charge here. Short and on the body, too easy for Ben as he pulls it over the square leg fence and the ball clears the rope. So runs starting to come thick and fast here for Rajasthan.
12.2 : 12.2: Y Chahal to Ben Stokes, OUT! CHOPPED ON! The bowling change has done the trick. What a wicket to take to become the highest wicket taker for Bangalore! The dangerous Ben Stokes is walking back. Yuzvendra tosses this one up outside off, it might be the wrong 'un. Stokes tries to clear the leg side fence with a slog sweep but gets a bottom edge which disturbs the furniture behind. So, a timely wicket for Bangalore as this partnership was starting to flourish. Another stand which fails to cro
12.3 : 12.3: Y Chahal to Jos Buttler, FOUR! What a shot to get off the mark, what a way to get off the mark. First ball, Buttler goes down on one knee and goes for the reverse sweep. He is helped by Chahal as he bowls a full toss. Jos hits it off the middle and through backward point for a boundary. So even though a wicket has fallen, Rajasthan will keep playing high-risk shots.
13.3: P Negi to S Samson, SIX! Bad ball and dispatched! Short and on middle, Samson rocks back and deposits it over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie.
13.6 : 13.6: P Negi to Jos Buttler, FOUR! Streaky but Buttler will take it with both hands. Negi floats this one up on off, it turns away a touch. Buttler tries to drive but the ball takes the outside edge and goes through the vacant slip region for a boundary. 13 from this over also.
15.1 : 15.1: U Yadav to S Samson, SIX! How do you make full use of the Free Hit? Samson just shows the right way. He gets another gift, a full toss on middle, it still has to be put away as Samson flicks it over the mid-wicket fence. 8 runs from 1 ball in this over.
16.2 : 16.2: C Woakes to S Samson, SIX! I don't think that was off the middle but it has gone all the way! Woakes bowls a length ball, not a good idea at this stage. Samson pulls it and he just clears the man at deep mid-wicket for a biggie.
16.6 : 16.6: C Woakes to Jos Buttler, SIX! Once again it is not the yorker and it has been sent into the stands. Why Woakes, why? He has bowled four yorkers in this over and all went for singles. The two balls he has bowled on a length have been pulled over the mid-wicket fence. 15 from this over, there is no stopping these two.
17.5 : 17.5: K Khejroliya to S Samson, SIX! Spoils the over! You just can't miss your mark! This one is fuller, on off. Enough for Samson to get under it as he lofts it over long off for a biggie.
17.6 : 17.6: K Khejroliya to S Samson, SIX! This is the SHOT OF THE MATCH! WOW! Two maximums to finish the over. Another full ball on middle, Samson moves away and just chips it over the bowler's head. Such is the timing that it goes all the way. 16 from this over, can they get to 200?
18.2 : 18.2: C Woakes to Jos Buttler, OUT! Woakes gets his countryman! That ends a quickfire 73-run stand. A low full toss on middle by Woakes. These are always difficult to put away. Buttler tries to go over mid off but does not get the elevation as he holes out to Virat Kohli in that position. Kohli will be relieved to see the back of Buttler as he is very dangerous towards the end.
18.4 : 18.4: C Woakes to S Samson, SIX! Boundaries, what is that? Samson only deals in maximums. A slower ball on middle, Sanju picks it early and sends it sailing over the long on fence.
18.5 : 18.5: C Woakes to S Samson, FOUR! First boundary for Samson in this innings. And this has been brilliantly played. Not a lot wrong with the delivery. Woakes bowls a yorker on off, Samson jams it out and past the keeper for a boundary.
18.6 : 18.6: C Woakes to S Samson, FOUR! Catch is the call but it is out of the reach of the fielder. Fuller outside off, Samson slashes hard at it. It goes uppishly towards sweeper cover. The fielder there runs to his left, dives and tries to catch it but can't reach it. 17 and a wicket from this over and 200 is now very much possible.
19.2 : 19.2: U Yadav to R Tripathi, SIX! This time Yadav pays for not keeping it in the blockhole. That's right in the slot for Tripathi and he muscles it over long on for a biggie.
19.3 : 19.3: U Yadav to R Tripathi, FOUR! Another one travels past the rope. Where is your yorker, Umesh? Bowls it short around off and Rahul packs a punch by pulling it over square leg for a boundary. 200 up for Rajasthan, already their best score against Bangalore.
19.4 : 19.4: U Yadav to S Samson, SIX! Makes full utilization of the bonus delivery. Yadav is on the fuller side with his length, Sanju aligns himself and launches it over the bowler's head. Brendon McCullum attempts to catch it with a jump near the fence but to no avail.
19.5 : 19.5: U Yadav to S Samson, SIX! Yadav has been taken to the cleaners is an understatement! It's fullish and outside off, Samson goes inside-out and thwacks it over extra cover for a maximum. That went like a rocket in the stand.
0.1 : 0.1: K Gowtham to B McCullum, FOUR! Ideal start for Bangalore! Gowtham bowls it flatter outside off, McCullum rocks back and cuts it through covers and the ball races away.
0.4 : 0.4: K Gowtham to B McCullum, OUT! WHAT A CATCH! Ben Stokes, take a bow! He has plucked that out off thin air. Gowtham bowls this one short on middle, McCullum rocks back and pulls it with all his might but he hits it flat towards deep mid-wicket. The ball is traveling like a tracer bullet towards him. Ben Stokes there, times his leap to perfection and takes it with two hands above his head. Brilliant! An early wicket for Rajasthan and McCullum once again walks back cheaply. This time though he
1.1 : 1.1: D Kulkarni to V Kohli, FOUR! Welcome to the bowling crease Kulkarni. Full and on off, Kohli shimmies down the track and drives it through covers for a boundary.
1.3 : 1.3: D Kulkarni to V Kohli, FOUR! SLAPPED! Once again makes room and gets a length ball on off. Kohli hits it with power over the fielder at cover for a boundary.
1.4 : 1.4: D Kulkarni to V Kohli, FOUR! This time through the leg side. Kohli is on a roll here. He again gives the bowler the charge and flicks him over the square leg region for a boundary. Third in the over.
2.2 : 2.2: K Gowtham to V Kohli, FOUR! Dealing in boundaries is Kohli here. Flatter and on off, Kohli rocks back and slaps it through covers for a boundary. His fourth in as many balls he has faced.
2.6 : 2.6: K Gowtham to de Kock, FOUR! Ends the over with a boundary! De Kock makes room and drives this one through extra covers. Another expensive over and Bangalore are right on track here.
3.3 : 3.3: J Unadkat to de Kock, FOUR! Belted! Full and on middle, de Kock smashes it past mid on and the ball races away.
4.4 : 4.4: K Gowtham to de Kock, FOUR! TOP SHOT! Uses his feet, gets to the pitch of the ball. Goes inside out and connects well as it goes over covers for a boundary. 173 in 92.
4.5 : 4.5: K Gowtham to de Kock, FOUR! Swept and swept brilliantly! Gowtham floats it up on middle, de Kock goes down on one knee and sweeps it past the fielder at square leg for a boundary. Back-to-back. Pressure on the bowler.
5.1 : 5.1: Ben Stokes to V Kohli, FOUR! Bowl any line, any length. Kohli is in the mood today. He will murder you. Short and on middle, Kohli rocks back and pulls it through mid-wicket for another boundary.
5.5 : 5.5: Ben Stokes to V Kohli, FOUR! Full toss outside off, Kohli just has to get bat to it. He does exactly that and squeezes it past point for a boundary.
6.3 : 6.3: S Gopal to V Kohli, FOUR! Short ball and it is asking to be hit. On middle, Kohli rocks back and pulls it through mid-wicket and finds the fence. They need a boundary in almost every over and they are getting it.
7.2 : 7.2: D Short to V Kohli, SIX! Off one hand but it has still gone deep into the stand. Wow! Moon reach flashes the giant screen! You beauty, Kohli. A tossed up ball, landing full on middle, Virat kneels and smokes it over long on. His one hand comes off the handle in the process but it doesn't have any effect on the outcome of the shot.
7.6 : 7.6: D Short to de Kock, OUT! Short bags a wicket by bowling short! Well, that's not the ideal length to bowl but it has fetched him a wicket. It's more the fault of the batsman than anything else. de Kock goes deep inside the crease and tries to rocket his attempted pull shot over square leg. But there ain't much meat behind it and Unadkat in the deep takes the catch safely. End of a brisk 77-run stand as de Kock walks back to the pavilion.
8.6: S Gopal to V Kohli, SIX! THUMPED! Short and on middle, Kohli rocks back and pulls it over the mid-wicket fence for a maximum. Spoils what was an excellent over until now.
9.5 : 9.5: Ben Laughlin to de Villiers, SIX! This will surely be hurting Buttler. Full and outside off. De Villiers goes inside out and hits it over covers for a biggie.
10.2 : 10.2: S Gopal to V Kohli, OUT! In the air... caught! Gopal who should have had de Villiers in the last over, gets Kohli in this one. Huge moment in the game. Pin-drop silence in the stadium. Gopal bowls it short and on middle, Kohli rocks back and pulls it flat towards deep mid-wicket. D'Arcy Short there runs to his right and takes a brilliant catch just ahead of the boundary. The Rajasthan players are pumped up and why won't they be. They have got the big fish. End of an enterprising innings by
11.5 : 11.5: J Unadkat to de Villiers, FOUR! Cuts and cuts hard! Also he does well to find the gap. A bit on the shorter side outside off, AB rocks back and flashes his bat through the line. It flies off the outer half of the bat and races right through the gap between short third man and backward point.
12.3 : 12.3: S Gopal to de Villiers, OUT! GAME SET AND MATCH? Who will be the most relieved after this wicket. I need not answer that. De Villiers does not make most off the missed stumping and the missed run out chance. Gopal bowls a half-tracker outside leg stump. De Villiers should have deposited it into the stands but does not get the timing. It goes towards Unadkat at deep backward square leg who runs to his right and takes another excellent catch inches above the ground. They all run towards him
13.1 : 13.1: K Gowtham to M Singh, SIX! A 94 meter hit! Gowtham flights this one and drops it right in the slot for the batsman, the length is on the fuller side and Mandeep dispatches it over long on for a maximum. Good start to the over.
14.1: Ben Laughlin to P Negi, OUT! Ben strikes off his first ball in his second spell. He is very clever with his variations and this time Negi fails to read it. Ben bowls the slow off cutter and it turns away after pitching. Negi tries to work it across the line but the ball takes the outside edge and goes into the mitts off the keeper who takes a decent catch diving forward. So not a good return into the team for Negi and Bangalore have half their side back in the hut.
14.3 : 14.3: Ben Laughlin to M Singh, FOUR! The runs have to keep coming! Full and wide outside off, Mandeep square drives it through the off side for a boundary.
16.1 : 16.1: J Unadkat to W Sundar, SIX! Unadkat who is brought into the attack is welcomed with a maximum. On a length around off, it is the slower one. Sundar picks it early and lofts it over the long on fence for a biggie.
16.3 : 16.3: J Unadkat to M Singh, FOUR! They need a lot more of these! Short and outside off, Mandeep Singh cuts it through point and the ball races away. 67 needed in 21.
16.4 : 16.4: J Unadkat to M Singh, FOUR! Mandeep Singh will not give up without a fight here. A full ball outside off, Singh squeezes it out over point and for a boundary. Back-to-back boundaries.
17.4: Ben Laughlin to W Sundar, SIX! They won't go down without a fight! Laughlin with a slower short ball around off, Sundar stands tall and muscles it over long on for a biggie. The fielder tries taking the catch over his head but fails to catch it. Maybe, he was standing a bit up.
18.1 : 18.1: Ben Stokes to W Sundar, FOUR! Perfect start to the over! Full and wide outside off, Sundar opens the face of the bat and slashes it past cover-point for a boundary.
18.2 : 18.2: Ben Stokes to W Sundar, SIX! 10 from two! What a shot from Sundar! Full and wide outside off, Sundar lofts it over covers and the ball goes all the way. 38 needed now in 10.
18.5 : 18.5: Ben Stokes to W Sundar, OUT! Stokes has the last laugh! But a good innings by Sundar comes to an end. He did fight but the task was always going to be an uphill one. A full toss outside off, Sundar goes for the paddle but only manages to hit it onto his stumps. Chris Woakes is the next man in.
19.2 : 19.2: Ben Laughlin to M Singh, FOUR! Slower ball on the body of the batsman. Singh walks across and pulls it over short fine leg for a boundary.
19.3 : 19.3: Ben Laughlin to M Singh, FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries but it still won't be enough. Full and outside off, Singh tries to guide it down towards third man but it goes off the bottom and it goes very fine in that region for a boundary.
19.4 : 19.4: Ben Laughlin to M Singh, FOUR! Three in a row! This is just spoiling Laughlin's figures. Full and on middle, Singh bludgeons it past the bowler for a boundary.
