0.0 : It's the second game of a fine Saturday evening. Some bittersweet news for you folks first up. It has been raining in Bengaluru since the past couple of days, so the teams didn't have any practice sessions either. It's not raining at the moment, but there is forecast of rain through the evening. Let's try to stay positive and hope it doesn't show up to ruin things.
Focusing a bit on the teams now. Bangalore host Delhi at the Chinnaswamy for what is going to be a vital contest for both teams involved. A win is crucial for both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir. The confidence is a bit shot for both, as they are coming off defeats, one which both could have avoided. Virat Kohli is in prime form, but not much of the same can be said for his teammates. Delhi, well, are blowing hot and cold as well. There seems to be a lot of reliance on Jason Roy, as the others s
Pitch Report - Matthew Hayden doing the pitch report says the surface is excellent for batting as there isn't a lot of grass cover. Adds the first match at this venue had a par score of 160, but the second one had a lot of runs in it. States that because of the rain, the team winning the toss will most likely decide to chase, keeping the DLS in mind.
TOSS - Bangalore win the toss and elect to field!
Virat Kohli says there's a little rain around and the outfield is already wet, and it might get worse so good to bowl. States there's one change as Manan Vohra replaces Sarfaraz Khan. Ends saying both teams are in a similar position so will come out hard.
Gautam Gambhir says this is a chasing ground, but the toss isn't in their control so will look to bat well. Mentions there's one change as Harshal Patel (debut) comes in for Mohammed Shami. Reckons the bowling is something they've had to work on a bit more, so the attempt will be to do well in that department.
We are ready to begin as the players, who follow the umpires out, take their place on the ground. Jason Roy and Gautam Gambhir will open for Delhi, while Umesh Yadav is handed the new ball first up. A slip is in place. Here we go...

0.3 : U Yadav to G Gambhir, Hurls it wide outside off, moves away, Gambhir reaches out to it but ends up missing it.
0.4 : U Yadav to G Gambhir, Back of a length delivery on middle and off, Gambhir hops a bit and then works it to mid-wicket. Sets off for the run but Roy sends him back.
0.5 : U Yadav to G Gambhir, Superb! Good length delivery, shaping away late from around off. Gambhir has to play at it. Fishes for it and is lucky he doesn't edge it behind.
0.6 : U Yadav to G Gambhir, Just 1 off the over. Terrific from Umesh. Gautam nudges it towards the mid-wicket fielder for nothing.
Chris Woakes will bowl from the other end.
1.1 : C Woakes to J Roy, Perfect connection but Jason Roy is unlucky. Hit that way too straight. Full on middle and off, Roy drives it with the full face of the bat back at the stumps at the other end. It ricochets off it towards cover and the batsmen quickly cross over.

2.6 : U Yadav to J Roy, Back of a length delivery on the fifth stump line, punched just wide of Chahal at cover-point for one run.
Yuzvendra Chahal is brought into the attack.
And he makes an impact instantly. There's a stumping appeal against Jason Roy referred upstairs.
3.1 : Y Chahal to J Roy, Not out! Safe. But close. Roy will know he has to be careful here. Chahal floats it up around off and it spins away. Beats the outside edge of Jason's bat and de Kock takes the bails off, the moment he sees Roy become slightly off balanced. It's taken upstairs and replays show that the Englishman is safe. His back leg was still in when the bails were taken off.

5.4 : Y Chahal to J Roy, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Yuzvendra Chahal bags himself the big fish. Jason Roy is out of here. What a ball. The mounted pressure eventually got to him. Short on middle and leg, it's the straighter one and Roy is done for here. He rocks back to cut it when the shot is never on. It goes past the inner edge and disturbs the furniture behind. Two down for Delhi now.
Rishabh Pant walks in next to bat.

12.1 : M Siraj to R Pant, Length delivery outside off, run down to third man for a single. The 50-run stand is up with this.
12.2 : M Siraj to S Iyer, What was he doing there? Didn't probably bounce as much as he expected. Short ball, keeps low as Iyer positions himself to play the pull shot. Adjusts well quickly as he places it towards mid-wicket.
12.3 : M Siraj to S Iyer, Shortish in length, outside the line of off stump, Iyer cuts and misses.
12.4 : M Siraj to S Iyer, FOUR! Takes the aerial route and gets the desired result. Nice execution. Picked his spot well. Sees the ball full, so Iyer clears his front leg and then lofts it cleanly over covers for a boundary.
12.5 : M Siraj to S Iyer, Plays it through point and gets to the other end.
12.6 : M Siraj to R Pant, SIX! Straight down the ground! Safest place to hit the cricket ball. Full and in the slot, Pant muscles this over the bowler's head and flat across the rope. Maximum!
13.1 : W Sundar to S Iyer, SIX! That's a massive, massive shot! From around the wicket, it's floated on middle, Iyer gets his front leg out of the way and slogs it deep into the mid-wicket stands for a biggie.
13.2 : W Sundar to S Iyer, SIX! Fifty for Shreyas Iyer. His 7th in the Indian T20 League. What a way to bring it up too, with back-to-back biggies. Sundar darts it wide outside off this time, Iyer doesn't care. He goes down and drags it over mid-wicket with a lot of power. Over the fence and that it's the stands again.
13.3 : W Sundar to S Iyer, Through the same region again, for just a single this time.
13.4 : W Sundar to R Pant, Swept away through backward square leg. One run taken.
13.5 : W Sundar to S Iyer, OUT! Sundar has the last laugh! Needless shot from Shreyas Iyer, but credit to Washington though, kept his nerve and got the breakthrough. Darts it full and wide outside off, Iyer unnecessarily reaches out to it and chips it straight to Siraj at short third man. Simple catch, which ends a fruitful partnership for Delhi.
Glenn Maxwell walks into the action now.
13.6 : W Sundar to G Maxwell, Quicker from the bowler, Maxwell plays at it and gets an inside edge on the leg side. 14 runs and a vital wicket off this over.
14.1 : M Siraj to R Pant, Length delivery cutting back in, Pant works it through mid-wicket for one.
0.0 : Direct hit. Maxwell thinks he's safe though, looks comfortable. Over to the TV umpire now...
14.2 : M Siraj to G Maxwell, Safe! Maxwell is not out. Length ball on off, Maxwell plays at it and gets an inside edge past the leg stump behind. He has no idea about where the ball is, but Pant does, so he sets off and calls for the run. There is a direct hit at the bowler's end as Maxwell drags his bat in, the ball ricochets off the stumps so the batsmen steal another. The umpire just wants to make sure so takes it upstairs. Replays show the Aussie is fine.
14.3 : M Siraj to G Maxwell, In the channel outside off, pushed to the cover area.
14.4 : M Siraj to G Maxwell, Fuller on off, lofts it down to long on for a single.
14.5 : M Siraj to R Pant, Wide! The ball is too wide on the off side for the batsman to make any contact. The umpire has signalled a wide.
M Siraj to R Pant, Fuller and attacking the stumps, driven towards mid on.
Review taken. Strange. The ball pitched outside the line of leg stump. Not going to be given out, unless the rules have changed...
14.6 : M Siraj to R Pant, Not out! Pant survives! Waste of a review really. No idea what they were thinking while deciding to take this. Fullish in length and landed well outside off, Pant looks to slog it on the leg side but gets hit around the knee. He's down in pain, while the Bangalore side reviews the decision. Replays show that it pitched outside leg.
Yuzvendra Chahal back on.
15.1 : Y Chahal to G Maxwell, Quicker through the air on middle and leg, whipped through mid-wicket by Maxwell for a single.
15.2 : Y Chahal to R Pant, Short and wide outside off, punched off the back foot through the off side for one more.
15.3 : Y Chahal to G Maxwell, OUT! Maxwell is gone! Chahal gets the wicket, but this is Siraj's to claim. He's anticipated this extremely well. Tossed up outside off, Maxwell brings out the reverse sweep to clear short third man. Siraj there, guesses this right and he already starts to run behind. It's lobbed in his direction and he takes a good diving catch to his right to dismiss the dangerous Australian. Bangalore on top here.
Strategic break signalled by the umpire.
Rahul Tewatia is the new man in.
15.4 : Y Chahal to R Pant, SIX! Lovely thwack down the ground! Full on the stumps, Pant smokes it straight back over the bowler's head for a biggie.
15.5 : Y Chahal to R Pant, SIX! Two in two for Rishabh Pant! Boy is on fire here. Terrific shot. Gets low to this floated delivery and brings out the reverse sweep to clear the third man fence. Just about, but he does.
15.6 : Y Chahal to R Pant, Muted appeal for a leg before, turned down. Probably pitched outside leg again. Maybe height was an issue too? Around leg, Pant kneels down and attempts to smash this out of the park. Misses and wears it on the body.
Chris Woakes back into the attack.
16.1 : C Woakes to R Tewatia, FOUR! Edged and away! Length ball moving away from around off, Tewatia feels for it and gets an edge through the vacant slip cordon for a boundary.
16.2 : C Woakes to R Tewatia, In the off stump channel, shaping away from the batsman once more. Tewatia plays and misses.
16.3 : C Woakes to R Tewatia, Pushed to the cover region by the batsman.
16.4 : C Woakes to R Tewatia, In the air... and just over! Tewatia living dangerously but the runs are coming. Length ball on off, Rahul backs away a touch before smacking it over mid off. The fielder runs behind, a little to the right and leaps to take it, but it's just over it. Away to the fence for a boundary.
16.5 : C Woakes to R Tewatia, Full in length and outside off, smacked hard towards cover, where a misfield allows the batsmen to take a single.
16.6 : C Woakes to R Pant, FOUR! 4th fifty in this competition for Rishabh Pant. Playing so well this evening. He pulls this short ball through backward square leg for a boundary. He needs to stay till the end, he has to for his team.
Mohammed Siraj is back.
17.1 : M Siraj to R Tewatia, Goes full and it's straight in line, goes off Rahul's pads on the leg side and a leg bye is taken.
17.2 : M Siraj to R Pant, SIX! Another terrific hit. Siraj misses his attempted yorker, it becomes a full toss on the pads. Pant picks it up and drops it over the square leg boundary for half a dozen.
17.3 : M Siraj to R Pant, Extremely full just outside off, drilled back straight to the bowler.
17.4 : M Siraj to R Pant, Wide! Well outside off, Pant has a wild swing at this and misses. Luckily for him, it's across the tramline. Wide signalled.
M Siraj to R Pant, Bumper on middle and leg, it's sharp and rising. Pant ducks and evades.
17.5 : M Siraj to R Pant, SIX! It's the slower ball and Pant has picked it up early. What a shot too. BANG! Fuller in length around off, Pant stands tall and with all his might, hammers it over long off for a biggie.
17.6 : M Siraj to R Pant, Flicked away with some power to deep mid-wicket for a single.
18.1 : C Woakes to R Pant, SIX! No stopping Pant tonight. Wickets fall around him or not, he's completely unfazed. Just keeps going and going. Another big hit from the southpaw. Full outside off, moving away, Pant thunders this through the line and clears the cover boundary so comfortably.
18.2 : C Woakes to R Pant, Short ball around off, rises a bit too much which is why, Pant can't connect with the big pull shot.
18.3 : C Woakes to R Pant, Two dots in a row. This is a good comeback from Chris Woakes. Fires it full and wide outside off, it's just inside the tramline and that's enough. Pant can't get to it.
18.4 : C Woakes to R Pant, FOUR LEG BYES! It's gone off the thigh pad, but at least the thought was innovative. Back of a length on middle, Pant moves across to pull it over short fine leg, but it goes over a leaping de Kock and away to the fence behind.
18.5 : C Woakes to R Pant, FOUR! This is very good batting. Skillful and clever from Rishabh Pant. Full and outside off, Pant opens the face and plays the reverse scoop. One bounce and across the third man fence for a boundary.
18.6 : C Woakes to R Pant, FOUR! 18 off the over! A huge one for Delhi. Pant is doing an amazing job here. Premeditates the short ball, so he moves a long way across and then pulls it over short fine leg for a boundary.
Corey Anderson to bowl the final over of the innings. Interesting. It's his first over all game and he's been handed such an important task.
19.1 : C Anderson to R Tewatia, Leg bye, but Pant is back on strike. That's all that matters. Worked away on the off side as the batsmen cross over.
19.2 : C Anderson to R Pant, SIX! Go 'head, young man! Do it! This is your night. What a fabulous hit. Full on off, Pant gives the charge and then smokes it... just smokes it over long on for a huge maximum.
19.3 : C Anderson to R Pant, Outside the line of off stump, Pant swings and misses.
19.4 : C Anderson to R Pant, OUT! Pant is dismissed, but what a knock from the left-hander. His team was is dire straits, but he's played an absolute blinder here. It's full in length, slower in pace and Pant looks to clear long on. Has a lot of height on it, no distance as AB de Villiers settles himself underneath it. He's one of the best in the world, not going to drop that.
Chris Morris will have to bat next.
19.5 : C Anderson to R Tewatia, FOUR! Pant is no more, but the runs keep coming. Rahul Tewatia taking a leaf out of Pant's book. Full outside off, he moves across, gets really low and then scoops it over Umesh Yadav at short fine leg for a boundary.
19.6 : C Anderson to R Tewatia, Dot ball to end the over. But 11 runs have come off it. The visitors will take it. Wide yorker outside off, Tewatia can't make any connection on it. DELHI END OF 174/5!
Delhi were in trouble, but a sensational knock from Rishabh Pant has really given the away side a fighting chance here. The tourists lost both their openers early, but a fifty-stand between Iyer and Pant shored things up. Then the former and Maxwell departed in quick succession, and Delhi were 105/4, but the Pant show followed after that. Not sure what came over him, but the southpaw let it loose and took the attack to the Bangalore bowlers. His 85 saw Delhi crossed the 170-mark an be in a posit
Bangalore bowled well for the most part, but the last 5 overs were where they let it slip again. Conceded 71 runs in that period for the loss of just 2 wickets. Some poor captaincy from Virat Kohli again? His best bowler of the evening did not finish his full quota of overs. Doesn't excuse the performance of his others men, but in this format, one over can make all the difference. The second half is going to be an exciting one for sure now. You don't want to miss it. Stay tuned...
0.0 : We are back for the run chase. It will surely be an interesting one with the batting line-up Bangalore possess. The wicket is slightly unpredictable, but eases out later. So, early wickets will be key for Delhi. Quinton de Kock and Manan Vohra stride out to the middle, Trent Boult has the new ball in his hand. A slip in place for him. Let's rock and roll...
0.1 : T Boult to de Kock, Full delivery swinging away on off, Quinton de Kock digs it out as he plays it back to the bowler. Good start from the left-armer.
0.2 : T Boult to de Kock, Length delivery on off, shaping away late, de Kock presses forward and offers a firm punch in front of covers.

0.5 : T Boult to de Kock, Pushes this just wide of mid on and rushes to the other end to complete a single.
0.6 : T Boult to M Vohra, Huge cry from Trent Boult for an lbw. Huge cry. But the umpire remains unmoved. Full delivery swinging in on leg, catches Manan Vohra on the pads as he looks to flick it away. Big appeal goes up, but nothing from the umpire. Delhi rightly don't take the review, it was going down leg.
Surprise, surprise! Glenn Maxwell will bowl from the other end. Interesting choice from Gautam Gambhir.
1.1 : G Maxwell to de Kock, Starts from around the wicket and serves it around off, it spins away as de Kock pushes it square to point.
1.2 : G Maxwell to de Kock, Taps this down in front of point again and calls his partner through for a quick single.
1.3 : G Maxwell to M Vohra, From over the wicket to Vohra now. It's short and spinning in, the batsman pulls it through backward square leg and comes back for the second.
1.4 : G Maxwell to M Vohra, Shorter on off, doesn't spin much, punched to mid-wicket.
1.5 : G Maxwell to M Vohra, Wide! The batsman tries flicking a ball that is down the leg side. The umpire has signalled a wide.
G Maxwell to M Vohra, Fraction straight in line, worked away with the spin on the leg side.
Manan Vohra has been caught by Jason Roy. The umpire just wants to make sure if the catch is taken clearly or not. Soft signal is out.
Delhi could have an early breakthrough. Could be just what they need. Looks out to the naked eye...
1.6 : G Maxwell to M Vohra, OUT! Vohra is gone! Delhi have their first wicket. Superb effort from Jason Roy out in the deep. Tossed up on off, Vohra gets low to sweep and gets a top edge over square leg. It flies in the deep where Roy moves inside to his right. Dives low and takes it in his hands. The visitors celebrate, but the umpire just checks for the clean catch. Replays confirm it is and the opener walks back now.

3.5 : G Maxwell to de Kock, The batsman has punched the ball off the back foot.
3.6 : G Maxwell to de Kock, Comes down the track and knocks it to mid on for one run.
Shahbaz Nadeem is called into the attack.

You're not hearing this for the first time and you won't hear this for the last time for sure. Bangalore win, courtesy an AB de Villiers masterclass. Man has won the game all on his own. You knew he was feeling it the moment Quinton de Kock was run out comically and he walked out in the middle of the park. Was in red-hot form from the get-go. First smashed a quickfire fifty-partnership with Virat Kohli, then did the same with Corey Anderson and remained unbeaten to ensure his side got over the f
When a loss occurs, you'd like to look around and figure out where it went wrong, and then attempt to rectify it the next time. But, sometimes, you just have to raise your hands up and admit there was nothing you could do. The Delhi bowlers were unfortunate to be on the end of an onslaught from Mr. 360. There's nothing they could have really done. This is just a night they'd like to put behind them and focus on their next game. Spare a thought for Rishabh Pant though, the young man played a blin
