Adds that they are a good chasing team and they are confident of chasing down targets. Reckons that they played in a really professional manner against Bangalore and will be hoping to put another professional performance tonight. Mentions that Piyush Chawla and Darren Bravo come in place of Suryakumar Yadav and Nathan Coulter-Nile. |
| Pune skipper, Steven Smith says that he would have bowled too, hopes that they can put a good score as the wicket is the same as one they played on last time. Adds that they have a few back-to-back games and hopes that they can make their home a fortress. Informs that Ben Stokes has a bit of a sore shoulder and hence Faf du Plessis comes in for the all-rounder. On asked if it is a risky change, he replies that given Rahul Tripathi can bowl, they will look to use him. |

| It was the impetus the home side needed in their innings. Smith struggled a touch as a few deliveries did hold up on the batsmen. He notched up a fifty with Daniel Christian hitting a 6-ball 16. The spinners got the ball to grip in and Kuldeep Yadav made the most of it, taking 2/31 and ending as their best bowler. Pune will think they have enough on this deck.
