Match over
0.0 : Hello and welcome to match no. 23. It is a clash between Mumbai and Hyderabad at Wankhede. Both the teams are eager for a win here today. The home side have not had the best of tournaments so far. They are second last on the table. Rohit Sharma would want to put all what has happened behind and get back to winning ways. It will be the perfect present for their mentor, Sachin Tendulkar, as it is his 45th birthday.
Kane Williamson's men on the other hand, got off to a flying start but now have suffered consecutive defeats. They too will be desperate for a win here as a victory will take them to third spot. However, it will not be easy against a Mumbai side which are surely favourites in familiar conditions for them. Both the sides have a lot of quality and we can expect another thriller. Stay tuned for the toss.
TOSS - Mumbai win the toss and elect to field.
Rohit Sharma starts by saying it is a good wicket and it is difficult to defend here. He is disappointed with the performance so far but further adds the guys are up for this challenge. Informs they are playing with the same side.
Kane Williamson says he wanted to bowl first. He hopes to bat well now. Informs they are going with three pacers and three spinners. Adds further it is great to have Shikhar Dhawan back in the team and also Mohammad Nabi makes his first appearance this season, he informs.
We are all set for the action to begin. The Mumbai players along with the umpires make their way out to the middle. Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan will open the batting for Hyderabad. Jasprit Bumrah will open the bowling for Mumbai. Here we go...
0.1 : J Bumrah to S Dhawan, Starts with a short ball. He tried to catch the batsman by surprise. Dhawan though watches the ball closely and lets it go through to the keeper. Good thinking by Bumrah.
0.2 : J Bumrah to S Dhawan, This ball is on the pads, Dhawan tries to clip but gets an inside edge onto his pads. The ball rolls towards square leg and the batsmen run a single. First run for the game and it is off Dhawan's bat.
0.3 : J Bumrah to K Williamson, FOUR! Williamson continuing from where he left off! Excellent placement and excellent timing. This is on the shorter side, Williamson rocks back and places it through cover-point to get off the mark in style.
0.4 : J Bumrah to K Williamson, FOUR! Two in a row! This is even better than the last one. Bumrah over compensates by bowling very full outside off. Williamson drives it through cover-point and another boundary results.
0.5 : J Bumrah to K Williamson, A single to follow two boundaries. This is on a length and around middle, Williamson works it towards mid-wicket for an easy run.
0.6 : J Bumrah to S Dhawan, A full toss outside off, Dhawan is late into the drive and gets beaten. He could have actually should have put that away. Could have been three boundaries in the over but still a good one for Hyderabad, 10 from the first.
Mitchell McClenaghan will bowl from the other end.
1.1 : M McClenaghan to K Williamson, Uppish but in the gap. Fuller and outside off, bowling to his field as he has a sweeper out on the off side. Williamson drives it to him and gets to the other end.
1.2 : M McClenaghan to S Dhawan, FIVE WIDES! Poor from Kishan! This is down the leg side. Dhawan misses the flick and Kishan fails to collect it. The ball hits his gloves and goes to the fine leg fence. Hyderabad are off to a flier here.
M McClenaghan to S Dhawan, FOUR! Dhawan gets his first boundary! This is full and wide outside off. Dhawan slashes at it. It takes the outside edge and goes over short third man.
1.3 : M McClenaghan to S Dhawan, OUCH! That must have stung. He hurt his hand in the last game he played and now his leg is giving him problems. The is on a fuller length closer to the off pole. Dhawan goes for the drive but gets an inside edge and the ball hits him just above the knee. There is no protection there and he is in pain.
The physio is out to have a look. Let us hope the left hander is fine. He is now fine to continue.
1.4 : M McClenaghan to S Dhawan, OUT! Bowled 'em and the crowd here goes crazy! Dhawan's return is a short one. A fuller ball on off, this one shapes back in. Dhawan goes for the drive but gets an inside edge onto his pads and then onto his stumps. Early wicket for Mumbai, just what they needed especially after the start Hyderabad were off to.
Wriddhiman Saha is the next man in.
1.5 : M McClenaghan to W Saha, BEATEN! Good bowling! This is full and angling away from the batsman. Saha is drawn into the stroke, away from his body but gets beaten. He could have left that.
1.6 : M McClenaghan to W Saha, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Two in the over for Mitchell. Saha pays the price to be expansive first up. He again goes for a booming drive away from his body. It is the sucker ball and Saha is sucked into it. The ball takes the faintest of edges and goes into the hands of Kishan. He takes it and appeals and the umpire raises his finger. Saha's poor run with the bat continues. End of a double-wicket over. Mumbai right on top in this game.

3.1 : M McClenaghan to M Pandey, Comes from around the wicket and hurls it on a length outside off, Pandey is happy to make a leave.
3.2 : M McClenaghan to M Pandey, FOUR! Straight down the ground! Gets a length delivery, angling in on middle, Pandey takes his front leg out of the way and goes bang over mid on for a boundary. He has walked in with intent, needs runs this season and looks like he's going to take the attack to the opposition.
3.3 : M McClenaghan to M Pandey, Waits for a back of a length delivery, dabs it towards Krunal at short third man.
3.4 : M McClenaghan to M Pandey, Comes back to over the wicket and angles it away on a length around middle and off, Manish walks across and taps it down on the pitch.
3.5 : M McClenaghan to M Pandey, Short of a length delivery outside off, Pandey cracks it through cover-point. Seemed destined to go to the fence but Krunal in the deep comes sprinting to his left and does well to stop it with a slide. Saves two.

4.4 : H Pandya to M Pandey, OUT! GONE! Hardik Pandya strikes! A needless shot from Pandey. He comes down the track and tries to go over covers to this length ball. He does not get the desired connection and it goes off the toe end towards Rohit Sharma at short covers. He takes an easy catch and Hyderabad have lost three in the Powerplay. Not many teams win the game after losing three within the first six overs.
Shakib Al Hasan is the next man in.
4.5 : H Pandya to Al Hasan, Good length on middle, Hasan keeps it out off the front foot. Watchful by the left hander.
4.6 : H Pandya to Al Hasan, Back of a length on off, Shakib punches it towards cover-point. Krunal Pandya from point runs to his left, dives and makes a good stop. He can't stop a single though. He bowls it on a length again around off, this one keeps coming in with the angle. Williamson picks the wrong ball to guide down to third man. It takes the inside edge and goes towards Kishan who dives to his left to take it. The players appeal and even before the umpire raises his finger, Williamson starts walking off. Half the

That came at him quickly. HYDERABAD HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 118!
So an excellent bowling display by Mumbai to bowl Hyderabad out for the lowest total this season. After winning the toss and electing to field, Mumbai struck four times in the Powerplay to dent the visitors. Kane Williamson and Yusuf Pathan did try to steady the ship before the former fell after the first strategic break. Wickets then kept falling at regular intervals with every bowler except Krunal Pandya having one to their name.
Not a lot to write about the Hyderabad batting. Yusuf Pathan was their joint top scorer with Kane Williamson as both finished on 29. None of the other batsmen crossed the 20-run mark and that shows how dismal their batting performance was tonight. They now have to come out and defend a total which is way below par. The wicket is a little slow but Mumbai have a strong enough batting line-up to chase this down. Join us for it shortly.
0.0 : We are back for the run chase. Should be a stroll in the park for Mumbai but you cannot write Hyderabad off. If they managed to pick up a few early wickets, we can have a game on our hands. Let's see how the second innings unfolds. Evin Lewis and Suryakumar Yadav stride out to open the batting. Sandeep Sharma will take the new ball first up. A slip in place for him. Here we go...
0.1 : S Sharma to S Yadav, Swing for Sharma but the line was wrong. Down the leg side as it swings back in from middle. Yadav misses the flick and the Mumbai are up and running courtesy a wide.
S Sharma to S Yadav, Extra bounce this time! this one is on a length around off, Yadav does well to defend it.
0.2 : S Sharma to S Yadav, Good length on off, Yadav defends it solidly.
0.3 : S Sharma to S Yadav, On middle, worked through mid-wicket for a run. Yadav is off the mark.

0.5 : S Sharma to E Lewis, BEATEN! The away swinger on off, Lewis tries to defend it but gets beaten.
0.6 : S Sharma to E Lewis, This time brings it back into the left hander. He tries to defend it off the back foot but misses to get hit on the pads. The players appeal but the umpire shakes his head. A good first over by Sandeep Sharma.

2.4 : S Sharma to E Lewis, Good length delivery outside off, presses ahead and pats it to point.
2.5 : S Sharma to E Lewis, OUT! Leading edge and Lewis is out of here! Fuller delivery around leg, Evin looks to flick it away over mid-wicket but is done in by the swing. Gets a leading edge which goes towards backward point where Manish Pandey accepts a simple catch. Good start for Hyderabad.
Ishan Kishan is the new man in.
2.6 : S Sharma to I Kishan, Gets forward to a fuller delivery and defends it solidly. 4 runs and a wicket off it.

3.2 : M Nabi to S Yadav, Flatter and skidding off the pitch, it's whipped away towards mid on.

Tossed up delivery outside off, turning away a bit, Ishan dances down the track in a bid to clear the infield but all he does is he manages to slice it up in the air towards long off. Deepak Hooda, the substitute fielder takes an easy catch. So far so good for Hyderabad. Can they pick one more inside the first six overs?

4.2 : S Sharma to R Sharma, Length delivery, slanting away, nicely guided towards the point fielder.
4.3 : S Sharma to R Sharma, Fuller delivery outside off, driven on the up but straight to mid off. There is a bit of a fumble there but they don't run.
4.4 : S Sharma to R Sharma, Fuller delivery on middle and off, Sharma defends it with a straight bat back to the bowler.
4.5 : S Sharma to R Sharma, Back of a length delivery outside off, Rohit punches it past the diving Shakib Al Hasan at cover. Didn't time it as he would have liked but enough to get him two runs. He's off the mark.
4.6 : S Sharma to R Sharma, Fuller and curling back in a bit, Rohit eases it back to Sandeep. Hyderabad have done really well to not let Mumbai off the hook. Can they finish well in the Powerplay?
Shakib Al Hasan will bowl the final over of the Powerplay.
5.1 : Al Hasan to S Yadav, Fuller in length on middle and leg, Suryakumar hits it towards mid on for a quick single.

Just sit back and laud this bowling effort displayed by Hyderabad. Champion stuff from Williamson's men and they have beaten Mumbai for the second time this season. After how the first innings panned out, it needed a miraculous effort on the part of Hyderabad's bowlers to get the job done. They started off on a brilliant note as they nipped out three wickets inside the first six overs and handed Mumbai an unwanted record - lowest Powerplay score this season.
Once that was done, Suryakumar Yadav was going along well and got support from Krunal Pandya. Both were cruising but it was Rashid Khan, who made good use of the review and removed the latter. All their bowlers shared the spoils but it was Siddarth Kaul who stole the show with a 3-fer to his name. Also, they did it without their strike bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, which demands th

Their batters couldn't come to the party but their bowlers put their hands up and got the job done with a clinical show to end their two-match losing streak. That's all from this game. Tomorrow we have Bangalore taking on Chennai in their own den. The action starts a
