0.0 : Hello and a warm welcome to the 2nd ODI of this Ireland Tri-Nation series in Dublin. The hosts were off to a good start in the first ODI before rain played the spoilsport. Their bowlers would want to replicate a similar performance against an inexperienced Kiwi side. The Black Caps are led by Tom Latham and he would hope that the youngsters in his team step up and the senior players make all their experience count.
TOSS - Ireland win the toss and opt to field.

Tom Latham says that they wanted to bat first only. Feels that it is a good wicket with a little grass on it. Hopes that the wicket plays well throughout. Mentions the two debutants - SCOTT KUGGELEIJN and SETH RANCE.

Ireland have done well to restrict New Zealand below 300. After Luke Ronchi got New Zealand off to a flier in the first Powerplay, Ireland did well to pull the run rate back by taking two quick wickets. Ross Taylor and George Worker steadied the ship for New Zeland with a good 84-run partnership and setting a platform for the big-hitters.
Neil Broom made most of the platform and scored a half century. However, some disciplined bowling towards the end by Ireland, saw them pick crucial wickets at regular basis thus halting the scoring rate. Ireland will fancy their chances of chasing this target against an inexperienced Black Caps bowling line-up to register their first ODI win against them. Join us back for the chase...

New Zealand hold their nerves to start this Tri-Nation series with a win. The two debutants for them, Seth Rance and Scott Kuggeleijn started off brilliantly and landed some early blows to the hosts. The Kiwis then got a couple of quick wickets to get the upper hand on the game.
It seemed like New Zealand would run away with the game but Niall O'Brien stood like a wall. He along with Gary Wilson added 75 runs for the fifth wicket. The latter then departed but the former carried on and completed his maiden ODI ton. He though was fighting a lone battle as he kept running out of partners. Scott Kuggeleijn was brilliant on his debut and picked up a 3-fer whereas it was Mitchell Santner who won the game for his side with an exceptional last spell and completing a fifer.
