On the other hand, the Black Caps will be high on confidence after their latest warm-up game against Board President XI. Centuries from Ross Taylor and Tom Latham augers well for them. Kane Williamson has confirmed that Colin Munro will open the innings along with Martin Guptill while Tom Latham will bat in the middle order and also keep wickets. Virat Kohli says that they will bat first. Adds that it is a good wicket and further says the conditions are going to be tough for the bowlers. Mentions that the Wankhede surface will have good bounce and seems similar to the Eden Gardens one which they had got against Australia recently. Is really excited that he his playing his 200th ODI for India.
Kane Williamson says it's very hot and humid. Adds it's a good surface and informs even he might have opted to bat first as well. Further says they have some new faces in the middle order who have immense talent. Feels they have a good mix of youth and experience and hopes that it comes handy. Hopes to exploit the conditions with the new ball and restrict India to a respectable total.
TEAM NEWS - Two changes for India. Ajinkya Rahane and Manish Pandey miss out while Shikhar Dhawan and Dinesh Karthik get a game. On the other hand, the visitors are going in with three seamers and one spinner. Presence of a few talented all-rounders as well.
