0.6 : 0.6: Y Chahal to P Shaw, OUT! Beauty from Chahal! He bowls a slider which just straightens after pitching, Shaw looked clueless to that delivery. He looks to flick that without moving his feet too much. Left a big gap between bat and pad and the ball sneaks through to disturb the furniture. Bangalore get the early breakthough. Shaw once again shows his weakness against the spinners, he was dismissed by the spinner other day and today was different.

2.4 : 2.4: Y Chahal to J Roy, OUT! Another beautiful delivery from Chahal, looks like it's his night tonight! He bowls a loopy googly on off which Roy fails to pick as he attempts an expansive cover drive, he leaves a huge gap between bat and pad. The ball spins in and goes through the gate. Chahal is ecstatic, he knows he has done something spectacular. Both the openers are back in the shed.

7.3 : 7.3: M Siraj to R Pant, SIX! Out of here! Just can't dish out such a lose delivery to this man, half tracker on the stumps and Pant muscles it flat-batted over the mid-wicket boundary for a maximum.

12.6 : 12.6: M Ali to R Pant, OUT! Stunning catch from AB de Villiers at long on! That effort from the veteran sees the back of dangerous Rishabh Pant! Moeen Ali bowls a loopy delivery on the stumps, Pant charges down the track and hopes of clearing the long on fence with a big strike. He doesn't manage to generate enough power it and can't even find the gap between the two men at deep mid wicket and long on. Seeing ball go up in the air ABD charges to his left and puts in a slide at the last moment.
14.3 : 14.3: U Yadav to V Shankar, FOUR! Freebie from Umesh and Shreyas capitalizes on it! Short ball down the leg side, the batsman gets inside the line of it and pulls it away to the fine leg boundary.
15.1 : 15.1: M Siraj to S Iyer, OUT! This is another massive breakthrough for Bangalore as Iyer in the end stages of the innings can prove to be really dangerous. Siraj speeds in and bowls a full length ball on middle and leg at 138 kph. Shreyas swings it across the line off his pads but the timing eludes him. He ends up handing a straightforward catch to Kohli at cow corner. End of a pretty uncharacteristic knock by Shreyas. Never got going.
15.3 : 15.3: M Siraj to A Sharma, FOUR! What a shot! An overpitched delivery around off, Sharma latches onto it and spanks it over mid off for a boundary. The debutant announces his arrival in the middle with a fine strike. Earlier in the evening, Searles, the debutant also got off the mark in a similar fashion. Only difference was that it went all the way for a biggie.
16.3: Tim Southee to A Sharma, DROPPED AND FOUR! Oh dear. A good length ball angling away from the batsman, Sharma steps out and flashes his bat firmly at it. It flies off the upper half of the willow and goes towards sweeper cover. Siraj in the deep feels that the ball is dying in front of him and hence charges forward. Puts in a dive but fails to hold on to the catch. What's worse? It has gone to the boundary as well.
16.4 : 16.4: Tim Southee to A Sharma, SIX! Aahhh...this lad can bat. A straight batted shot is always a delight to watch. A length ball around middle and leg, Abhishek stays back and launches it over long on.
16.5 : 16.5: Tim Southee to A Sharma, SIX! Packs a punch again. Remains back footed to a short delivery this time and pummels it all the way over mid-wicket for a maximum. Where was he hiding all these days?
17.2 : 17.2: M Siraj to A Sharma, SIX! He is middling his shots with great ease and class. On a length outside off, angling away, Sharma camps back and ramps it over third man for a biggie. This kind of batting is enough to earn fans. Going great guns, Abhi!
17.4 : 17.4: M Siraj to V Shankar, FOUR! Siraj is struggling with his line. Serves a full ball on the pads and Vijay nudges it behind square leg for a boundary.
19.3 : 19.3: M Siraj to A Sharma, SIX! High and handsome! This young man is stealing hearts with his knock. Picks the slower one by Siraj early and sends it packing over long off for a biggie. 50-run stand comes up.
19.4 : 19.4: M Siraj to A Sharma, FOUR! Brute force! This is in line of the stumps, Sharma backs away a bit to make space and bludgeons it straight back. The umpire takes evasive action and quickly moves away from the line of fire. AB de Villiers tries his best to cut it off in the deep but fails. Can Abhishek get to his fifty?
1.1 : 1.1: T Boult to M Ali, OUT! And we have our answer to the question asked at the start of the run chase! Ploy of promoting Moeen Ali at the top has backfired for Bangalore! Boult starts his spell with a pacy delivery, angling in sharply from outside off and cramping Moeen Ali for room. The Englishman looks for the pull shot, he miscues it to extra cover. Shaw backtracks and pouches it safely. Delhi draw first blood!
1.4 : 1.4: T Boult to V Kohli, FOUR! Boult finds the outside edge but the ball beats the man at first slip and races away to the third man fence. Kohli gets a delivery in the corridor of uncertainty, he jabs at it without moving his feet and gets a thick edge. Streaky runs for Bangalore but they all count.
2.3 : 2.3: S Lamichhane to P Patel, FOUR! Smashed it! Loopy ball outside off, Patel displays the power he possess. He gets right to the pitch of it and spanks it right over his partner. The ball races away to the long off fence.
2.4 : 2.4: S Lamichhane to P Patel, OUT! Lamichhane gets his first wicket in the Indian T20 League! Loopy ball on the off stump line which spins in just a little, Patel goes for the sweep, he wanted to play that with the spin but doesn't make contact with the ball. The hits him well below the knee roll and the impact was right in front of the stumps. Huge appeal for an LBW is upheld by the umpire. Two quick wickets down for Bangalore and they are in some serious trouble.
3.2 : 3.2: J Dala to V Kohli, FOUR! Kohli dispatches this one with absolute disdain! Short of a length ball on the stumps, Kohli gets on the front foot and pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary.
3.3 : 3.3: J Dala to V Kohli, SIX! Vintage Kohli, he justs uses his wrists and whips it stylishly over wide mid on. The ball has enough wings and it goes over the ropes.
3.4 : 3.4: J Dala to V Kohli, FOUR! Classical cover drive right from the coaching manual! Full pitch delivery on the leg stump line, Kohli backs away a little and creams it between covers and mid off.
4.3 : 4.3: H Patel to de Villiers, FOUR! Top shot from ABD! He has placed this one in the gap and collects boundary for the effort. Good length ball outside off from Patel, ABD slaps it through the covers for a boundary.
4.5 : 4.5: H Patel to V Kohli, FOUR! Shot! No need to run for that. Bowls another fullish delivery on the stumps, Kohli exposes all his stumps as he backs away and chips it nicely over the man at mid off for another boundary.
5.4 : 5.4: T Boult to V Kohli, SIX! Majestic shot from Kohli! Full pitched delivery from Boult and he plays a lofted drive through the line. Nice extension of the arms and the ball sails over the long off fence. 50 up for Bangalore!
5.6 : 5.6: T Boult to de Villiers, FOUR! Terrific shot and end of a good Powerplay for Bangalore, they lost two wickets early but Kohli and ABD have got things back on track. Short ball by Boult and ABD pulls it with power to the mid-wicket fence.
6.1 : 6.1: S Lamichhane to V Kohli, FOUR! Timing and placement were just exquisite! Loopy ball outside off, Kohli gets right to the pitch of it and drills it to wide long off. No one in the deep to stop that one.
7.5 : 7.5: A Mishra to de Villiers, SIX! Brilliant strike from ABD! Loopy leg break in line with the off stump, ABD swings his bat through the line and makes good contact with the ball and it sails over the long off fence.
8.3 : 8.3: J Dala to V Kohli, FOUR! Easy pickings! Fifty for Kohli, his 34th in the Indian T20 League! Poor delivery from Dala, short and down the leg side, Kohli helps it on its way to the fine leg boundary.
9.5 : 9.5: A Mishra to de Villiers, SIX! Magnificent strike from ABD! Loopy ball on off, he gets the chances to get underneath that one and he carts it inside out over covers for a biggie.
10.4 : 10.4: H Patel to de Villiers, FOUR! Skillful stroke from ABD, he sees a full delivery coming his way and he decides to walks across his stumps and scoop. Makes good contact and sends it away to the fine leg boundary.
11.5 : 11.5: S Lamichhane to de Villiers, SIX! High and handsome! ABD just manages to clear the man at deep square leg! He goes for the slog sweep but doesn't get the timing right. Though, he gets enough wood on it and clears the rope.
12.1 : 12.1: H Patel to V Kohli, SIX! Out of here! Kohli brings up the 100-run stand in style. Patel angles in a length ball around middle and leg, Kohli makes space, advances down the track and then lets his wrists do all the work. Makes amazing connection and deposits it into the stand at mid-wicket.
12.4 : 12.4: H Patel to de Villiers, FOUR! Blazed away! Patel ups his pace this time but keeps his length on the shorter side outside off. De Villiers climbs onto the room and spanks it square of the wicket on the off side. Cracking stuff!
12.5 : 12.5: H Patel to de Villiers, SIX! Wow, Mr. 360 has absolutely smoked that. Patel returns to bowl his slower ones but this time the length is full and the line is too straight. AB lines himself and launches it over long on for a biggie. 26th Indian T20 League fifty for him!
13.1 : 13.1: A Mishra to V Kohli, FOUR! He is a delight to watch, isn't he? Those whips. Those wrists. You just need to pitch it there in his half and he just demolishes it. Flighted and full on middle, whipped to wide long on for a boundary. Great start to the over.
13.2 : 13.2: A Mishra to V Kohli, OUT! Caught behind! Sharp catch by Pant. You have to give it to Mishra. Uses all his experience, kept his composure after going for a boundary first ball and showed the heart to toss it up. A lovely delivery, drifting in around off and spinning away sharply after kissing the deck, Kohli is well forward to drive it through the line but it turns away to catch a thin outside edge. Rishabh does well to snap it and 118-run stand is broken. The equation though is a simple on
14.2: J Dala to M Singh, SIX! If ABD can do it, so can Mandeep! Dala serves it on a back of a length around middle, the pace ain't up to the mark, Mandeep swivels a bit on the back foot and dismisses it behind square leg for a biggie.
16.1 : 16.1: T Boult to M Singh, OUT! And Boult makes an immediate impact with a wicket. Hurls across a back of a length ball around middle and off, skidding off the surface, Mandeep stays back to hit it across the line but fails to make any sort of connection. It sneaks past him and lights the stumps. 29 needed off 23 balls. The chase still is well and truly in favour of Bangalore.
17.2 : 17.2: H Patel to S Khan, FOUR! Top shot! A full length delivery outside off, Khan plays a nice inside out shot over extra cover and finds the fence.
17.3 : 17.3: H Patel to S Khan, FOUR! Lovely hands! A little bit of width on offer outside off, the length is short and Khan plays it late. He steers it behind backward point and finds the boundary again.
17.5 : 17.5: H Patel to S Khan, OUT! What was that? Patel bowls a sharp delivery but fails to land it. It's a low full toss dipping into the batsman and Khan tries to scoop it over the keeper. Fails to get the proper connection and ends up chipping it towards fine leg, close to long stop in fact. Prithvi Shaw is standing very straight at fine leg, not sure whether it's an intentional field positioning or young Shaw was out of place. Anyway, the catch comes to him and he grabs it in the second attempt.
18.2 : 18.2: T Boult to de Villiers, SIX! Ho! Ho! Ho! AB special. Boult tries to follow the batsman outside off but ends up serving a full toss. De Villiers in spite of shuffling way across the stumps manages to hold his balance and dispatches it over square leg for a biggie. He is a special batsman.
18.6 : 18.6: T Boult to de Villiers, SIX! And AB de Villiers ends the chase in a grand manner. Boult serves it full and around off, AB gives it the full whack of his bat and clubs it over long off for a maximum. BANGALORE WIN BY 5 WICKETS AND ONE OVER TO SPARE!
