Shardul takes a safe catch and Chennai celebrate their first breakthrough.

7.4 : 7.4: H Singh to R Pant, FOUR! Dismissive! Harbhajan drops it short outside off, just where the southpaw likes it. He rocks on the back foot and slaps it through the covers. The ball speeds to the boundary. 50 up for Delhi with it, they need to up the ante a little.
9.1 : 9.1: H Singh to R Pant, SIX! HEAVED AWAY! Tremendous strike from Pant. Harbhajan fires this one on the pads and he whacks it with disdain with the angle. Clears the mid-wicket fence with utmost ease.

9.5 : 9.5: H Singh to R Pant, SIX! Miscued by Pant but he somehow manages to clear the long off fence. Loopy off break outside off, he goes for the big shot by dancing down the track and lofts it to deep. The fielder in the deep was few yards inside the circle and misjudges it, the ball just eludes him and clears the fence.
10.3 : 10.3: L Ngidi to S Iyer, OUT! Bowled 'em! Poor shot selection from Iyer. End of the scratchy innings from the Delhi skipper. Good length ball, angling in from outside off, Iyer backs away and exposes all his stumps. He looks to play the square cut but misses it and the ball smashes into the wickets. He doesn't even look back and starts walking towards the dugout dejectedly. A timely breakthrough for Chennai.
10.6 : 10.6: L Ngidi to R Pant, OUT! Miles up in the air... and Bravo is the man under it, he is the one man you want under such a high ball and he takes it without making any mistake! Slower ball on off, angling away from the stumps, Pant goes for the big shot across the line. He gets a thick top edge to third man, Bravo near the rope runs in quickly towards his left and pouches it safely. 14.4 : 14.4: S Thakur to A Sharma, OUT! And there goes another wicket and the hosts have loft half their side. Chennai are bossing this game big time. It is the short ball from Shardul Thakur that does the trick again. It gets big on Sharma who looks to pull that off the back foot. He ends up getting a top edge to mid-wicket. Harbhajan is the fielder under it and he is not the one to miss out on those. Abhishek Sharma, who promised a lot with his exclusive strokes in his last game, fails to get going
14.6 : 14.6: S Thakur to V Shankar, FOUR! Errs in line and gets picked off. Short of a length ball, sliding down leg, Vijay gets inside the line of it and glances it nicely past the keeper. The ball races away to the fine leg boundary.

5.3 : 5.3: A Khan to A Rayudu, FOUR! Ten from three balls! Too predictable this from the bowler. Goes short again and Rayudu was ready for it. He pulls it over mid-wicket. It seems to have bounced just before the ropes but the umpire wants to check and replays confirm it is just short.
5.5 : 5.5: A Khan to A Rayudu, SIX! Not learning here is Avesh! Poor bowling by him. He bangs this one short and on middle, Rayudu once again gets into position early and sends it over the square leg fence.
5.6 : 5.6: A Khan to A Rayudu, SIX! Started the last over of the Powerplay in style and now ends it in style! 22 from this one and it has released all the pressure built earlier. Another short ball on middle, Rayudu is feeding on that at the moment. He rocks back and pulls it with disdain over the mid-wicket fence for a maximum. So what was turning out to be a poor Powerplay for Chennai has turned out to be a brilliant one. They are 44 for 0 after it and they need another 119 from 84.
6.5 : 6.5: A Mishra to S Watson, OUT! Mishra strikes in his first over! Watson's struggle out there comes to an end. Mishra tosses this one up on off and once again the ball turns a little. 9.6 : 9.6: H Patel to A Rayudu, OUT! In the air... gone! The missed run out chance has not cost Delhi a lot here. They have got the man they so desperately needed. Harshal Patel gets the man in-form. Rayudu uses his feet and gets a slower ball on the pads. Rayudu goes for the flick. He seems to have connected well as the ball goes high up in the air. It does not have the distance though and he holes out to Glenn Maxwell at deep mid-wicket who takes a really good catch. Such skiers are never easy. Rayu
11.1 : 11.1: G Maxwell to S Raina, FOUR! Trademark Raina! Maxwell tosses this one up on off, Raina with the turn goes inside out over covers for a one bounce boundary. Once again a good start to the over.
11.3 : 11.3: G Maxwell to MS Dhoni, FOUR! Second from the over! Bringing back Maxwell is turning out to be a bad idea here. This is short and outside off, Dhoni rocks back and cuts it through backward point for a boundary.
13.1 : 13.1: S Lamichhane to S Raina, OUT! How often have we seen this? A wicket right after the strategic break and it is off the dangerous Raina. He too fails to make use of the reprieve he got. He though might consider himself a touch unlucky here as he hit that well. Sandeep bowls the googly and it is quite full on middle, Raina whips it off the middle. He though hits it flat and it goes into the hands of Vijay Shankar at deep mid-wicket who takes it. Another timely wicket for Delhi and Sandeep is
