| Excellent comeback by Bangladesh in the second half but this is still a good total by New Zealand. Skipper Latham and Broom conjured fifties as their 133-run stand provided a lovely platform for the Kiwis to launch to a massive total. However, that didn't quite happen as they slipped from a comfortable 156/1 to 226/7 in the space of 15 overs as Bangladesh pulled things back. However, veteran Taylor's unbeaten fifty ensured that New Zealand breached the 270-run mark. |
| Bangladesh's bowlers were erratic in the first 25 overs but then picked themselves up to redeem their efforts a bit. The spinners were tidy and picked a couple wickets each while Mortaza too struck twice in his second spell as Bangladesh clawed their way back into the contest. The fielding though was mostly dismal with simple catches being put down right from the first over when Latham got a reprieve on 0. That proved costly but this target is gettable although the wicket isn't that flat. Join u |
