Both sides are winless in the Super 10 stage, with Afghanistan competitive against Sri Lanka despite losing, while South Africa failed to defend a mammoth 229 against England.
So it's a must win game for both sides, with South Africa winning the toss and choosing to bat first on a good deck for batting.

In the end a comfortable victory for South Africa but things did look interesting early in the Afghanistan run chase. But ultimately, too much class by the South Africans and they take maximum points from this effort.
Shahzad's 44 from 19 was spectacular but once he went so did the Afghani hopes. Morris started well and ended up with 4 wickets, Rabada, Abbott & Tahir with a couple each.
