Shah Rukh to enter Salman Khan's 'Bigg Boss' house

Last year rumours were rife about actor Shah Rukh Khan hosting the controversial reality show Bigg Boss. But it was frenemy and actor Salman Khan, who took charge as the host of the fourth season of the show succeeding the earlier host, actor Amitabh Bachchan. The buzz right now is that Shah Rukh may after all come on the show, but as a guest.

Says a source, “SRK has been doing rounds of many popular TV shows already as a part of his forthcoming film’s promotion. Be it a reality show or even a fiction based one, the star is not leaving any stone unturned to boost the hype around his ambitious project. He’s also known to go on KBC as a guest almost after 11 years. Hence one cannot deny this possibility too.”

In the last five seasons of the show, Salman is the only host to have been repeated for yet another season. In the current season, however, Salman is accompanied by his close friend and actor Sanjay Dutt as the co-host. “Though the differences between Salman-SRK are well-known, but Sanjay is known to be a close friend of Shah Rukh. He’s also done  a cameo in Ra.One.

Therefore, it may not be a surprise to see Shah Rukh visit the house as a guest during the time Salman is away shooting for his film,” adds the source.

According to industry experts such shows are a good platform for promotions. “In the last four years, shows like these have grown in size especially with the constant spotlight on it due to it controversial inmates. It is therefore a best bet for any producer to depend on to market/promote their film,” says TV expert.
