Bharat Kundra

Modelling inspiration: Bharat Kundra always wanted to become a model. Since childhood, he was inspired by the glamour field. “Modelling fascinates me a lot; it’s my passion,” says Bharat, who was inspired by model-turned-actors Milind Soman and Arjun Rampal. In fact, he loves to walk on the ramp and that’s the very reason why he participated in the Grasim Mr India '07 contest, which he subsequently won.

Family setbacks: When he decided to do modelling, Bharat’s father was not quite happy with the decision. He initially was not that supportive. “My father did not like it when I told him that I wanted to do modelling, he said why modelling – it’s not good.” But his mother supported him and later his dad came around. Since then , Bharat has done some print shoots for Airtel, British Council, NIIT...and has also walked the ramp for Wrangler, Cantabil and Liberty.

Into the future: “As of now I want to concentrate on my forthcoming software engineering exams,” says the Noida-based boy. “While modelling is my passion, I will start working on my other projects later.” And, need we add, Bharat doesn’t mind trying his luck with Bollywood if he gets a good script! —Renu Ahuja
