Nandita Thirani

The label: Earlier called Anudhi, she now retails under her own name.
Design philosophy: Vibrant clothes with an eye on the wearer.
Claim to fame: She has designed for national and international stars including Courtney Cox.
Retails at: Her studio in Kolkata; Melange and AnteBody, Mumbai; Oorja and Elahe, Hyderabad; Studio Saks, Chennai; and Forever 21, Arden B and Anthropologie, USA. She designs for houses like Paul Smith, Alice Temperley, Bende Lisi, Ashley Isham, Lotta and Lisa Curran. She also designs accessories like cummerbunds and scarves.

Kishore Ramani

The label: Kishore Ramani.
Design philosophy: His clothes have a feel for sophistication and femininity combining understated classic elegance with contemporary flair. Natural fabrics are given a strong emphasis on cut, style and finishing.

: Shamlu Dudeja.
Design philosophy: She has taken the stitch painting of rural Bengal to the boutiques of Paris, Milan and Geneva. Her colours and designs have a European look. Golds, rusts, browns and blacks figure in her work right now.

The label: Arnab Sengupta.
Design philosophy: His couture and prêt collection aims to revive traditional and folk crafts of India. A rich detailing of hand embroideries, textures and colours is visible in his collections inspired by different historical periods and art movements of Europe, poetry, novels and different cultures of the world.

Design philosophy: Stylish and subtle, the stamp of creativity defines designer Medhavini Khaitan’s men’s line. Her forte is loungewear, she loves playing with colours and experimenting with texturing.

The label: Dev ‘N’Nil.
Design philosophy: Together they share a vision to create a label, which will transcend boundaries and people across the world. The duo has put in place progressive labour
