Chitrangda Singh excited about her Salsa dance number in upcoming film

Known for her sultry looks and performance oriented roles, actor Chitrangda Singh is now going all out to don a brand new sizzling avatar.

Looks like what she has been wishing for has finally come true. The actor who has always maintained that she loves dancing and was looking forward to doing a sexy number, has bagged one in Rohit Dhawan’s Desi Boyz.

Chitrangda has been given a sizzling track and she was also required to train in the dance form for a couple of days before she shot the song finally. She had earlier said, “I’ve always loved dancing but it’s just that I never got an opportunity to show my dancing skills. I am also doing an item number only because I love dancing and not because it is the trend with actresses currently.”

In a lot of ways, the actor has also gotten out of her comfort zone as till date she hasn’t been seen in a typical Bollywood song and dance routine.

A source from the sets says, “Chitrangda was super thrilled with the prospect of being given an item number. Also Salsa as a dance form was something she always wanted to learn so it was a perfect bet for her.

In fact, she was so excited that she made it a point to practice diligently on an everyday basis. She took her dancing classes very seriously and in the bargain ended up hurting her feet as well.”

Talking about it, Chitrangda says, “The Salsa piece that I have done in the film required a couple of days practice. I took time out and danced for a few hours everyday. But Salsa needs you to wear heels so I was dancing for all my sessions in five inch stilettos. By the final day of shoot I had almost 10 band aids on each foot but it was worth the effort.”
