Players to win purple cap twice in IPL history

The IPL 2024 tournament was concluded on Sunday after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the coveted trophy by defeating Sunrsisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in the final.

This was KKR’s third title win in IPL history. They had previously won the 2012 and 2014 season under Gautam Gambhir’s guidance.

There was also an award ceremony conducted after the conclusion of the IPL 2024 final match.

While Virat Kohli from RCB secured the Orange Cap, PBKS’s Harshal Patel won the Purple Cap for IPL 2024.

Here’s the list of players who have won the purple cap twice in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Dwayne Bravo (CSK) - IPL 2013 (32 wickets) and IPL 2015 (26 wickets)

Bhuvneshwar Kumar (SRH) - IPL 2016 (23 wickets) and IPL 2017 (26 wickets)

Harshal Patel (RCB & PBKS) - IPL 2021 (32 wickets) and IPL 2024 (24 wickets)
