Overseas captains to win IPL trophies

We are just few day away from witnessing the highly-anticipated IPL 2024 final match on May 26.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have secured their place in the final after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 8 wickest on Tuesday in Qualifier 1 match.

Rajasthan Royals after securing a 4-wicket win over RCB in Eliminator have progressed to play the Qualifier 2 match against SRH.

The winner of SRH vs RR match, which is taking place today will face KKR on May 26.

Ahead of the summit clash, here are overseas players that led their team to win IPL titles.

Shane Warne

Late Shane Warne, one of the greatest bowlers in cricket history, guided RR to clinch maiden IPL season after winning over MS Dhoni-led CSK by 3 wickets in final in 2008. 

Adam Gilchrist

 Former Australia wicketkeeper-batter  Adam Gilchrist led the Deccan Charges to IPL glory after defeating RCB  by six runs in 2009 final.

David Warner 

Australia's star opening batter, David Warner captained Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to win the 2016 edition of IPL. They beat Virat Kohli-led RCB then in Bengaluru by 8 runs in the summit clash.
