Fruits with high sugar content, high GI score and low fibre content should be avoided as much as possible. Some of these include:

Watermelon is one of the most loved summer fruits, which has a high GI of 72-80 and due to its relatively high sugar content it is important to consume in moderation.

Bananas have varying GI of 42-62 depending on their ripeness. It's best to choose less ripe bananas and eat them in moderation.

Pineapple has a moderate to high GI of 50-66 along with high amounts of natural sugars, which can instantly spike sugar levels.

Mangoes have a GI of 51-60 and contains high sucrose and fructose, which makes it important for diabetics to consume in a small portion.

Grapes have a moderate GI of 46-53, but their small size can lead to overconsumption, so diabetics must avoid overeating.

Cherries have 20-63 GI, but they are generally moderate to high, so its advisable to consume in moderation.

Raisins are dried grapes with GI 43-64. They are concentrated sources of sugar and should be consumed.
