Commentary :
0.0 : Hyderabad have overcome mountains, yes, mountains, to book their spot in the top 4 in the points table. They now need to continue their stellar momentum in this do-or-die clash. Their overall team composition is very strong and their excitement levels, sky-high. Let's see if they can translate that on the ground in this 'must-win' clash. The toss and team updates are on their way...
Coming to the Red Brigade first, they are coming into this Eliminator on a 4-match losing streak. An unnecessary mental baggage one would reckon. Yes, but given Kohli's aggressive positive mentality, he would have shaken that off. He would also look to extract revenge for his team's previous loss to Hyderabad this season and most importantly for the loss in 2016. Post which, Bangalore have not made it to the playoffs in 3 years.
PITCH REPORT - Mark Nicholas and Ian Bishop are out in the middle for the pitch report. Nicholas starts off by saying that there has been a touch of humidity in the evening. Adds that the big hit is straight down the ground. Bishop says that the wind is going the other way than it usually does. Adds that the pitch has a good covering of grass and it looks good for bowling.
Time for the Eliminator in the 2020 Indian T20 League! Bangalore or Hyderabad? Who will progress to Qualifier 2? It is a big evening for both teams with all or none to play for. The need to muster everything they have and show it on the field, IS NOW!
Toss - The two captains are out in the middle for the crucial toss in this must-win encounter. The spin of the coin lands in Hyderabad's favour. THEY WILL BOWL!
David Warner, Hyderabad's captain, says that the last couple of matches have seen dew. Says that won't matter much if they play well. Adds that there is no pressure for Hyderabad and hopes to play well in this knockout game. States that Saha misses out due to some injury and in his place, Goswami comes in. States that they need to start well.
Hyderabad (Playing XI) - David Warner (C), Shreevats Goswami (WK) (IN PLACE OF WRIDDHIMAN SAHA), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Priyam Garg, Jason Holder, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan.

Adds that nerves can set in as they did not win their last four encounters and that lot of these guys have not played in the playoffs and it is good to be here. Tells that the seniors have to take that load and let the youngsters to express themselves. States that there are three changes
We are all set to begin then! The Orange Army, standing like an army near the ropes, make their way to the field through the red carpet near the boundary. Bangalore's openers are Devdutt Padikkal and ..... VIRAT KOHLI! A big news. When the time comes, the big men step up! Sandeep Sharma to begin with the ball for Hyderabad. 1.3 : Jason Holder to Aaron Finch, Outside off, pushed to point.
1.2 : Jason Holder to Virat Kohli, OUT! CAUGHT! It has not worked at the top of the order for Cheeku! The wicket that Hyderabad were looking for, comes to them. Fullish and on the pads, Kohli looks to tuck it fine of the keeper, to the fine leg boundary. But it seems to have clipped the glove and gone just to the left of the keeper. Shreevats takes a good diving catch. Virat did not wait much, started walking.
Who will walk out to bat now? Aaron Finch it is.
1.4 : Jason Holder to Aaron Finch, WIDE! Slips a fullish ball down the leg side, Aaron lets it be.

3.3 : Jason Holder to Devdutt Padikkal, OUT! TAKEN! DDP has not timed that at all. He has batted well for Bangalore this season, but not this time. Short ball, Padikkal goes back and looks to pull but he does not time it well at all. It was uppish and over the head of Priyam Garg at short mid-wicket. The fielder had to leap and take it. He does so, taking a wonderful catch.

9.1 : Rashid Khan to AB de Villiers, Floated outside off, stroked through the covers for a single.
0.0 : DRINKS! What a passage of play for Hyderabad! They got rid of the dangerous Virat Kohli and the impressive Padikkal early on and since then have choked runs. Bangalore still have two of the most dangerous white ball players in AB de Villiers and Aaron Finch out in the middle. The pair have so far looked to steady the ship and will look to free their arms post the break. Can Bangalore get going or will Hyderabad continue to build on their impressive start in this game?
9.3 : Rashid Khan to Aaron Finch, Tossed up on off and middle, stroked to cover.
9.2 : Rashid Khan to Aaron Finch, SIX! Finch gets enough. Floated around off, Finch gets down and mows a slog sweep well over deep mid-wicket. 2000 runs for him in the Indian T20 League. He has played for 8 franchises.

Abdul Samad, the man there, runs in and takes a good catch.
Who will walk out to bat now? Moeen Ali it is.
10.3 : Shahbaz Nadeem to AB de Villiers, FOUR! It was edged but still thumped. Flatter and around off, ABD rocks back and looks to cut but gets a thick outside edge. It goes well wide of the keeper and races away to the third man fence. The fielder gives a chase but to no avail.
10.4 : Shahbaz Nadeem to AB de Villiers, NO BALL! Shahbaz oversteps. Flatter and on middle and leg, de Villiers clips it to long on for a single. FREE HIT COMING UP!
Shahbaz Nadeem to Moeen Ali, OUT! RUN OUT! What is going on? Rashid Khan, you beauty! A free hit and out? Yes, run outs are possible! Very full and around off, Moeen Ali jams it out to Rashid Khan at cover. He wants a single and takes off. Rashid collects the ball, flicks a throw at the stumps at the bowler's end and hits. Ali is nowhere in the picture.

11.4 : Rashid Khan to Shivam Dube, A very stifled appeal for LBW. Rashid thought there might have been some pad there, first. Quicker one around off, Shivam blocks it behind square on the off side. Rashid reckons there was pad first but the umpire does not feel so.
11.5 : Rashid Khan to Shivam Dube, And again, Rashid appeals again, but to no avail again. Quicker and around off again, Dube seems to have hurriedly blocked it. Rashid appeals thinking there is pad first again, for a LBW, but not given, again. Warner asks his teammates but opts not to review in the end. Replays roll in and there was pad first and Ball Trackers shows that this was crashing into the stumps. A lifeline for Dube.

13.2 : T Natarajan to AB de Villiers, FOUR! Well, de Villiers has heard Harsha Bhogle all right, the commentator asked him to get going. And AB does so. Full and outside off, he thrashes it over covers and gets a boundary.
0.0 : T Natarajan is back in the attack now. Went for 9 in his first over. Can he get Warner a wicket here?

14.4 : Rashid Khan to AB de Villiers, FOUR! He is getting a move on here, de Villiers. This time he lunges forward considerably and sweeps the fuller ball through backward square leg for a boundary. The fielder in the deep gave chase but to no avail.
14.5 : Rashid Khan to AB de Villiers, Quicker one around off, tapped to mid-wicket for a single.
14.6 : Rashid Khan to Shivam Dube, Flighted legbreak on off, Shivam does not read it well but manages to defend it to the off side late. Rashid finishes with 4-0-22-0. Superb as usual.
Jason Holder is back. 2-0-9-2 for him.
15.1 : Jason Holder to AB de Villiers, Very full and around off, squeezed out to the left of deep backward point for two.
15.2 : Jason Holder to AB de Villiers, Yorker on middle and leg, jammed to the off side. Dube wants a single and de Villiers responds, albeit lately, a single in the end.
15.3 : Jason Holder to Shivam Dube, Short ball, pulled to the left of wide long on. The fielder gets there, dives and stops it. Two runs taken.
15.4 : Jason Holder to Shivam Dube, WIDE! Holder goes wide outside off, too wide, Shivam Dube lets it be.
Jason Holder to Shivam Dube, OUT! TAKEN! Warner takes the catch. What an addition Holder has been to the Hyderabad squad, into the attack again, takes a wicket. Full and on leg, Shivam closes the face of his bat to flick but gets a leading edge. It is uppish and goes to the left of Warner at mid off. David rushes there and takes it comfortably.
Washington Sundar is the new batsman at the crease.
DRINKS! Hyderabad have still maintained that pressure on Bangalore and have done well to slow things down in the middle overs. They still have to deal with AB de Villiers who has been out there and has been looking to get a move on. His wicket will be a big one and Warner will be looking to get him back to the pavilion. As far as Bangalore are concerned, nothing has quite worked out for them so far but they still do have AB de Villiers out in the middle and will be banking on him to finish stron
15.5 : Jason Holder to Washington Sundar, Short and outside off, stabbed to third man for a single. Washington is up and running straightaway.
15.6 : Jason Holder to AB de Villiers, FOUR! ABD finds the gap well. 50 to him as well. Scored half the runs for his side so far. Holder bowls a low full toss, searching for the yorker, Mr 360 takes it on the full and clips it well wide of the deep mid-wicket fielder, to the wide long on fence.
16.1 : Sandeep Sharma to Washington Sundar, Full on middle, wristed through short mid-wicket for a brace.
0.0 : Rashid Khan is done for tonight. Sandeep Sharma to finish. 3-0-14-0 are his figures.

T Natarajan is back. 2-0-18-0 so far are his numbers.
17.1 : Who's in next? Navdeep Saini it is.
T Natarajan to Washington Sundar, OUT! CAUGHT! Safely held. Abdul Samad has one of the safest pair of hands in this Hyderabad side. Full and around off, Sundar looks to cream that over the off side but ends up hitting it straight in the air to Samad at deep point. Abdul did not have to move an inch.
17.2 : T Natarajan to AB de Villiers, Catch is the cry but de Villiers gets away there. Full and on middle, AB looked to slog this on the leg side but he does not time it well. Luckily for him, it falls safely ahead of a charging Warner at long on. A single.
17.3 : T Natarajan to Navdeep Saini, Very full on middle, jammed out to short mid-wicket.
17.4 : T Natarajan to Navdeep Saini, Length and around off, Navdeep steers it late behind square on the off side for one.
17.5 : T Natarajan to AB de Villiers, OUT! BOWLED! Outstanding again, from T Natarajan. AB is frustrated with himself. A well made 56 from 43 balls though. A yorker on middle, de Villiers camps back and tries to dig it out but misses. The middle pole is knocked out.
Mohammed Siraj comes out to bat now.
17.6 : T Natarajan to Mohammed Siraj, Outside off on a good length, Mohammed goes for the big off side heave but fails to connect. Just 2 runs from that over and 2 big wickets.
Jason Holder is back to bowl the penultimate over. 3-0-20-3 for him.
18.1 : Jason Holder to Navdeep Saini, Length ball on top of middle, clipped to Sandeep at short fine leg for a quick single.

19.2 : T Natarajan to Navdeep Saini, FOUR! Gets it away for a boundary, does Saini. Too full and too wide from Natarajan, Saini lifts it over point. No one there and the ball races away for a boundary.
19.3 : T Natarajan to Navdeep Saini, Very full on off, stroked to cover for a single. Natarajan won't mind that.
19.4 : T Natarajan to Mohammed Siraj, Siraj moves to the off side and looks to paddle the fuller ball over short fine leg. However, the ball takes the shoulder of his bat and goes over short third man instead. Two runs taken.
19.5 : T Natarajan to Mohammed Siraj, FOUR! Clever from Siraj, now he connects. Fullish ball outside off, Siraj moves to the off side, this time he manages to scoop it over short fine leg and gets the desired boundary.
19.6 : A 5-star bowling performance from Hyderabad and at the halfway stage they look well on course to crush Bangalore hearts again and send them empty-handed. A very sorry batting performance from Bangalore, on the other hand.
Hyderabad roared their way into the Playoffs and they continued their loud roar in the first half of this game. What a revelation, Jason Holder has been! Kudos to the West Indian for coming into the side and changing the fortunes the way he has done for his side. He was the chief tormentor with the ball. He was standout picking up 3/25 from his 4. Natarajan finished with 2 wickets while Nadeem had one. Rashid was not in the wickets column but choked the runs in the middle.
Jason Holder says that he is happy to perform for the team. Says that he personally thinks there are a lot of things to do. Tells that he has to learn a lot of things and he wants to stick around in the T20s a little more. Adds that he is really confident with the bat too and if the opportunity comes, he will be happy to do something. Ends up saying that the ball is nibbling a touch.
So 132 is what Hyderabad need to keep their hopes for another title alive and save the date against Delhi. Bangalore, on the other hand, will need to be at their absolute best with the ball if they are to upset the high-flying Hyderabad. Stranger things have happened in the past, are we set to see Bangalore defend this low total? Join us for the chase to find out. Before that, let's hear from Hyderabad's best bowler of the evening, Jason Holder.
T Natarajan to Mohammed Siraj, A couple to finish. Very full and around off, Siraj manages to bunt this down to long on. They come back for the second and BANGALORE FINISH ON 131/7.
After being asked to bat, Bangalore seemed to have lost half the battle in their head at the toss itself. Bangalore looked like they were chasing the game from the very first over. The 3-time finalists never got going and barring a fighting 56 from AB de Villiers and a construction 32 from Finch, there was absolutely nothing from the others.
