Match over
1.6 : 1.6: S Afridi to de Kock, OUT! It's clipping leg! De Kock bags a duck in his 100th ODI. A cracking start for Shaheen and Pakistan. He angles in a length ball on middle and leg, angling in, de Kock tries to play it across the line but plays all over it. His bat comes down a bit late too and he gets rapped on the pads. They appeal and after thinking for a while, the finger has gone up. Quinton decides to take the review but the replays show that it's clipping the top of leg stump. Early setback fo
2.1 : 2.1: U Khan to H Amla, FOUR! Too full and wide outside off, Amla reaches out for it and drills it through the gap at point. Fakhar gives the chase and tries to pull it back with a full length dive but fails.
2.5 : 2.5: U Khan to H Amla, FOUR! Quality shot! It's on a length around off, Amla presses forward and caresses it with beautiful timing through extra cover for a boundary. So good to the eyes.
2.6 : 2.6: U Khan to H Amla, FOUR! Three boundaries in the over. Once again there is width on offer outside off and Hashim just opens the face of his bat to fluently drive it through cover-point.
5.1 : 5.1: S Afridi to R Hendricks, OUT! Strangled down the leg side! A fine catch by Rizwan as well. Shaheen delivers a back of a length delivery down the leg side, it does something off the seam, Hendricks gets a bit across to flick but it takes a faint inside edge and travels behind. Rizwan dives across to his left to grab the catch. One more blow to South Africa. Pakistan are doing very well here, not leaking runs and picking wickets too.
10.4 : 10.4: M Amir to du Plessis, FOUR! Shot! A touch short and on middle, du Plessis dances down the track, gives himself room and spanks it through extra cover. South Africa would hope this will break the shackles.
10.5 : 10.5: M Amir to du Plessis, FOUR! A more conventional shot this time by the Protea skipper. Uses his lovely hands and plays a fluent cover drive to a full ball for a boundary.
12.4 : 12.4: I Wasim to H Amla, FOUR! That's a fine shot! Brings up the 50 for South Africa. Flighted and full around off, Amla makes some room and drills his drive through extra cover.
13.1 : 13.1: U Khan to H Amla, FOUR! Amla has settled in now! Back of a length delivery angling in from around off, Amla goes on his toes and pulls it behind square leg for a boundary. Runs have started to come post Powerplay 1.
14.6 : 14.6: I Wasim to H Amla, FOUR! Well played! Imad hurls in a short and wide delivery outside off, Amla rocks back and slaps it through the gap at backward point for a boundary. 50-run stand comes up!
15.3 : 15.3: S Khan to du Plessis, FOUR! Tossed up ball on middle, fuller in length, du Plessis sits down on one knee and nails his sweep shot behind square leg for a boundary.
17.2 : 17.2: S Khan to du Plessis, SIX! That's a fantastic shot! A full ball around off, spinning away a touch, du Plessis walks forward and lofts it nonchalantly over extra cover.
18.4 : 18.4: I Wasim to H Amla, FOUR! Easy pickings! Short and wide outside off, Amla reaches out for it and slaps it through point for a crunching boundary.
25.2 : 25.2: S Khan to du Plessis, FOUR! 30th ODI fifty for Faf du Plessis, what a way to bring it up. He's been trying to nail that shot for a while now, finally gets it right. Tossed up on the stumps, he kneels down and slog sweeps it over mid-wicket for a boundary.
25.5 : 25.5: S Khan to du Plessis, FOUR! So much control as he plays that. Well executed, right in the gap. The 100-run stand between these two comes up as well. Tossed up outside off, du Plessis gets low, rolls his wrists on this as he drags the sweep through square leg for a boundary.
25.6 : 25.6: S Khan to du Plessis, OUT! Shadab gets the last laugh. A little bit of bounce and this time Faf isn't in control at all. He gets down once more, looks to sweep it away but it goes off the top edge this time. Balloons towards Hafeez at deep mid-wicket who takes it moving to his right. Big wicket for Pakistan, they needed this and it's come at the right time.
30.1 : 30.1: I Wasim to H Amla, OUT! Bowled 'em! The set batsman, the big fish, has been dismissed. Malik persisted with Imad, put him in to bowl out and he's delivered. A quicker delivery on off, it goes on straight as Amla looks to play across the line with zero foot movement. The ball goes under his bat and takes the off stump with it. South Africa in some trouble now.
32.2 : 32.2: M Amir to D Miller, OUT! Amir gets his man and the change in bowling does the trick. Comes in from over the wicket and lands this on off. It angles into Miller who misses his flick and gets rapped in front. They put in an appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Miller has a chat and then takes it up. After a couple of replays Hawk Eye shows us that the ball would have gone to hit the leg stump. South Africa lose their review and David has to walk back. His bad form in ODIs against Pakista
33.4 : 33.4: S Afridi to A Phehlukwayo, FOUR! Nice! Just a gentle push and the ball travels to the fence. Slightly back of a length on off, Andile punches the ball through covers, beats the in-field and gets a boundary for it.
34.1 : 34.1: M Amir to van der Dussen, FOUR! Good start to the over for Rassie. Outside off, width on offer, Rassie extends his arms and lofts this over point for a boundary. Third man was too fine to cut that out.
34.4 : 34.4: M Amir to A Phehlukwayo, FOUR! Second of the over. Length ball outside off, Phehlukwayo stands tall and punches this through covers. It makes a lovely sound and the ball races away to the ropes.
37.2 : 37.2: U Khan to van der Dussen, OUT! Rassie departs. Good pace and bounce on that and Usman gets his man. This is the first time in this series van der Dussen has been dismissed. Back of a length ball outside off, Rassie looks to run it down but gets an outside edge back to the keeper. Rizwan takes a simple catch and Usman is up in celebration. Just the 16 runs added by these two today, they cannot provide heroics of the 2nd game.
37.4 : 37.4: U Khan to D Steyn, OUT! Bowled 'em! What a cracker! Steyn has no answer for it. Bull's eye and Pakistan are on a roll. Comes running in from round the wicket and darts in a yorker on middle. Steyn gives room and looks to get bat on it but fails to get any. The furniture is disturbed and South Africa lose their 7th wicket.
37.5 : 37.5: U Khan to K Rabada, OUT! What is happening? Third wicket of the over and Usman Khan is on a hat-trick. Serves this on a good length outside off, Rabada looks to leave it but then is too late in doing so. Gets a feather behind to Rizwan while getting his bat down and Pakistan appeal. The umpire gets his finger up and Rabada knows what he has done.
39.1 : 39.1: U Khan to A Phehlukwayo, OUT! Edged and taken! Fourth of the innings for Usman Khan, all have come in his last 6 deliveries itself. He gets the last glimmer of hope which was left for South Africa. He's really turned the game on its head for Pakistan. Bowls a length ball well outside off, some slight movement away as Phehlukwayo gives the charge. Throws his bat at it but can only get an edge behind. Babar Azam at first slip takes a simple catch.
39.3 : 39.3: U Khan to I Tahir, FOUR! Streaky runs! Masterful from Imran Tahir. Usman fires the yorker in on off, Tahir gets low, brings his bat down and gets an inside edge which goes past leg stump. It races down to fine leg for a boundary.
40.6 : 40.6: S Khan to I Tahir, OUT! Yes, Shadab does the clean up. Gives this air outside off, tempts Tahir to go over the top. Tahir gets low and slogs but cannot get it far enough. Imad Wasim at long on takes a simple catch. SOUTH AFRICA ARE ALL OUT FOR 164 IN 41 OVERS.
0.3 : 0.3: D Steyn to F Zaman, FOUR! This is not the luck they need! On a good length around off, Zaman looks to drive it but gets an inside edge past the leg stump and into the fine leg boundary. First boundary of the innings.
3.4 : 3.4: B Hendricks to Imam, FOUR! Another one that could have gone to the hands but finds the ropes. Short all on off, Imam pulls it through square leg away from the fielder here and picks up a boundary.
5.1 : 5.1: B Hendricks to F Zaman, FOUR! Good shot. Full outside off, Zaman drives it through cover point for a boundary.
6.3 : 6.3: D Steyn to F Zaman, FOUR! Safe shot. Full outside off, Zaman drives it uppishly over covers for a boundary.
6.4 : 6.4: D Steyn to F Zaman, FOUR! Consecutive boundaries for Fakhar Zaman. Full outside off again, Zaman drives it through covers for a boundary.
7.5 : 7.5: K Rabada to F Zaman, FOUR! Length delivery on middle, Zaman looks to cut but gets an inside edge. It goes past the stumps towards fine leg for a boundary.
8.5: D Steyn to F Zaman, FOUR! Good shot. Full on off, Zaman drives it through covers for a boundary.
9.6 : 9.6: K Rabada to Imam, FOUR! Fifty up for Pakistan. Just the opening stand they would have wanted. Short outside off, Imam cuts it through point for a boundary. The visitors need 114 runs in 240 balls to win. That is the end of Powerplay 1. Powerplay 2 will begin shortly.
10.5 : 10.5: B Hendricks to Imam, FOUR! Cracking shot. Short outside off, Imam cuts it through point for a boundary.
12.1 : 12.1: K Rabada to F Zaman, FOUR! Good cracking shot. Full on off, Zaman drives it through covers for a boundary.
13.2 : 13.2: I Tahir to F Zaman, OUT! Against the run of play, South Africa have a wicket. Zaman is the one to depart after finding some form. He tries slogging a full ball into the stands at mid-wicket but fails to generate enough power. Rassie near the boundary line makes no mistake. Tahir is up and running in celebration and then takes out his shoe to make a call to his spin-partner, Shamsi in the dugout. He also responds by putting his shoe near his ear. Funny celebration. As far as this game goes,
16.1 : 16.1: K Rabada to Imam, FOUR! Poor delivery from Rabada. Length delivery on leg, Imam flicks it towards fine leg for a boundary.
17.6 : 17.6: I Tahir to B Azam, FOUR! Full toss on middle and leg, Babar comes down the track and hits it over mid on for a boundary. Good way to end the over. Big over for Pakistan. 10 runs came off it.
18.3 : 18.3: A Phehlukwayo to Imam, FOUR! Short of a length delivery, Imam plays a controlled pull towards fine leg for a boundary. Imam-ul-Haq is looking good here.
19.6 : 19.6: I Tahir to Imam, FOUR! Poor delivery from Tahir. Full toss above knee length, Imam hits it over mid-wicket for a boundary.
22.1 : 22.1: R Hendricks to B Azam, FOUR! Not the start he would have liked! Drags it short on middle and leg, Babar pulls it through square leg and away to the fence.
29.3 : 29.3: I Tahir to Imam, SIX! Just a matter of time now. Takes it on the full and lofts this over long off and into the stands. Maximum. Solid hit.
31.2 : 31.2: A Phehlukwayo to Imam, OUT! Unnecessary wicket thrown away by Pakistan as only one run was needed. Bowled wide outside off, Imam comes down the track and looks to go big but gets an outside edge towards de Kock. He takes a comfortable catch and celebrates. The hosts know this was a nothing wicket as it was gifted to them.
31.3 : 31.3: A Phehlukwayo to M Rizwan, FOUR! PAKISTAN WIN BY 8 WICKETS! Rizwan cuts this short delivery over point for a boundary to finish things off. The visitors complete a comfortable victory against the Proteas.
