Nonetheless, a good opening partnership comes to an end.

But he doesn't time it at all and the ball goes straight to Shoaib Malik at long off who takes a very simple catch. Brilliant innings from the debutant, will be disappointed not to get his century.
47.6 : 47.6: M Hafeez to H Amla, SIX! What a way to bring up his 27th ODI century. It is tossed up on off, Amla gets down on one knee and slog sweeps it over mid-wicket for a maximum. Brilliant knock by him.

49.6 : 49.6: F Ashraf to D Miller, FOUR! No he cannot finish it off with a dot. Full on off, Miller drives it through covers and Shadab in the deep puts in a dive but cannot stop it from going to the fence. Just 7 runs off the final over. SOUTH AFRICA FINISH OFF THE INNINGS WITH 266/2.
2.1 : 2.1: K Rabada to F Zaman, FOUR! First boundary off the innings and it is from Fakhar Zaman. It is full on off, Zaman drives it straight back at the bowler. Rabada has no chance to save that one and the ball goes straight to the fence.

6.3 : 6.3: K Rabada to F Zaman, SIX! Bouncer by Rabada. Fakhar Zaman tries to pull it but gets a top edge. It has enough on it to go over the fence at fine leg for a maximum.
8.2 : 8.2: D Olivier to F Zaman, OUT! The short ball has done the trick and Fakhar Zaman is heading for early showers. Duanne Olivier bowls it short, Fakhar never looked in control playing the pull shot today. He top edges this one as well but this time the top edge goes to the right of Dwaine Pretorius at fine leg, who takes a fine catch. The debutant gets his first wicket in ODI. He carries his good form from Test into the ODI.
10.2: D Olivier to Imam, FOUR! Wonderful shot. Overpitched by Olivier and Imam gets on his front foot and drives it between cover and point through the gap for a boundary.
10.3 : 10.3: D Olivier to Imam, FOUR! Bouncer and Imam, unlike Fakhar Zaman is in control of the pull and hits it through mid-wicket for a superb boundary. Second of the over. Olivier is under pressure now.
10.6 : 10.6: D Olivier to B Azam, FOUR! Third off the over. Once again he bowls it short and this time Babar nicely pulls it away through mid-wicket for a boundary. 14 runs off that over a brilliant one this for Pakistan. Contrasting to the previous one bowled by Olivier.
13.5 : 13.5: D Pretorius to B Azam, FOUR! Exquisite! Full on middle, Babar Azam beautifully times the straight drive and the ball goes to the fence. Pretorius tries to get his hand to it but the ball went past him like a tracer bullet.

18.5 : 18.5: A Phehlukwayo to B Azam, FOUR! Beautifully done! Outside off, just a fine delicate touch past the keeper and that is enough to tickle it away to the third man boundary.
20.6 : 20.6: A Phehlukwayo to B Azam, FOUR! Classy stuff from Babar. 5 singles and now a boundary to end the over. Outside off, Azam waits for it and cuts it wide of the third man fielder for a boundary.
27.6: R Hendricks to B Azam, OUT! Oh, would you look at that? Well done, Faf. What a change. Reeza Hendricks provides the much-needed breakthrough South Africa have been craving for. And it's the big one of Babar Azam. Landed outside off on a shorter length and it spins in, Babar goes back to force the punch through the covers but misses the ball altogether. It goes past the outside edge and clatters into the stumps. Partnership of 94 is brought to a close.
29.1 : 29.1: R Hendricks to Imam, FOUR! Some width on offer and Imam pounces on it instantly. Short and outside off, the left-hander rocks onto the back foot in a jiffy and cuts it through point for a boundary.
30.4 : 30.4: D Pretorius to M Hafeez, FOUR! Gives the charge and takes the attack to Pretorius. Jumps out to this back of a length ball around off and drags the heave through the right of mid on for a boundary.
32.5 : 32.5: D Pretorius to M Hafeez, FOUR! All timing, that. Well struck by Hafeez. Full and outside off, he just leans into the drive and caresses it past the diving extra cover fielder for a boundary.
33.4 : 33.4: D Olivier to M Hafeez, FOUR! Sweet. That's all there is to it. Overpitched delivery from Olivier, on off, Hafeez strides forward and drives it well through the gap in the covers to find the fence.
34.3 : 34.3: D Pretorius to Imam, SIX! What a massive hit! The sound off the bat was just sumptuous. He's just crunched that. Full and right in the slot, Imam steps out and just gives it the full swing of the bat and launches it deep into the stands over the cow corner.
35.6 : 35.6: I Tahir to M Hafeez, FOUR! Short and wide, Hafeez plays and gets a thick edge. It runs down to third man for a boundary.
36.1 : 36.1: D Olivier to Imam, OUT! Olivier with the big break. This is a massive breakthrough and could be the turning point in the game. Imam with a rather rash shot at a crucial juncture. Fuller length ball around off, the opener charges out and looks to go big, but it goes off the outer half and flies over covers. Hendricks in the deep runs in and dives forward to take an excellent catch. Imam misses out on what would have been a well-deserved ton.
36.5 : 36.5: D Olivier to S Malik, FOUR! Poor line and Olivier pays the price. Short ball down the leg side, all Malik has to do is help it on its way and it's all too easy from there. It races across the fine leg fence for a boundary.
38.4 : 38.4: D Olivier to M Hafeez, SIX! BANG! That's outta here! The Professor teaching everyone how it's done! Fuller length ball around off, Hafeez slogs it over wide long on and gets a maximum to his name.
40.2 : 40.2: I Tahir to M Hafeez, SIX! BAM! That's a cool hit. So calmly done by The Professor. Tossed up around off, Hafeez gets close to the pitch by stepping out and smokes it over long on for half a dozen.
41.2: A Phehlukwayo to S Malik, OUT! Maybe, just maybe, there is something left in this game. Everyone knows what a big player Shoaib Malik is in such situations, his calm and experience usually see Pakistan home. But this... this could just provide the hosts some hope needed to push on from here. Length delivery on off, Malik looks to run it down to third man but gets an inside edge and the ball disturbs the furniture behind. 49 needed off 52.
41.6 : 41.6: A Phehlukwayo to M Hafeez, FOUR! Superb. Poor ball, good shot. Too full and quite straight in line, Hafeez close the face and flicks it past the mid-wicket fielder for a boundary.
42.2 : 42.2: I Tahir to S Ahmed, OUT! Another Pakistan wicket down in quick succession. Brilliant from Imran Tahir. He bowls it on leg and it's the leg break. Spins ever so much and beats the closed face of the bat as Sarfraz tries to flick. He's caught on the back pad and an appeal goes up, which is followed by the finger. The DRS is signalled by Ahmed and replays don't help him at all. He's gone for all money. Pakistan lose their review as well.
46.3 : 46.3: D Olivier to M Hafeez, FOUR! Premeditated that and got the result. Full and down leg, Hafeez gets forward and across, a little low too and sweeps it fine down the leg side, beating the diving keeper to the fence.
46.5 : 46.5: D Olivier to M Hafeez, FOUR! What a shot. Too good a player to miss out on this. A full toss from Olivier, Hafeez with the full face of the bat lofts it over mid off and finds the fence.
48.1 : 48.1: D Olivier to S Khan, FOUR! Looks like Pakistan are winning this. This is a super hit. Length ball on middle and leg, Shadab makes room and bangs this over the bowler's head. Hits it too straight and finds the fence.
48.6 : 48.6: D Olivier to M Hafeez, FOUR! The scores are level now. Hafeez makes Olivier pay for bowling short so consistently. Just stands tall and pulls this aerially through mid-wicket for a boundary.
