0.5 : 0.5: L Ngidi to S Sarkar, FOUR! Sarkar is off the mark in style! He looks to have come out with an attacking approach as all the three shots he has played, he has played with intensity. Short and on middle, Sarkar plays the pick up shot over square leg and the ball races away.

4.6 : 4.6: L Ngidi to S Sarkar, EDGY FOUR! That has come between the two slip fielders. Third boundary in the over. The change of angle almost does the trick for Ngidi. He comes from around the wicket and lands it on off, it straightens a touch. Sarkar pokes at it. The ball takes the outside edge and goes in between first slip and second. Both go after it half-heartedly till then though it sneaks through and goes to the third man fence.

6.2 : 6.2: L Ngidi to S Sarkar, FOUR! Once again, back-t0-back boundaries for Sarkar. Full and on off, Sarkar hits it right off the middle and past the bowler for a boundary.
6.6 : 6.6: L Ngidi to T Iqbal, FOUR! Smashed! Perfect response from the batter! 50 up for Bangladesh and South Africa are under pressure. Short and on the body, Tamim goes back and powers it through mid-wicket. Another good over for Bangladesh.
7.2 : 7.2: K Rabada to S Sarkar, FOUR! STREAKY AGAIN! Sarkar's edges are working overtime today. Another length ball and outside off, Sarkar hangs his bat out but the ball flies off the outside edge and to the third man fence. Dealing in boundaries are Bangladesh.

8.2 : 8.2: A Phehlukwayo to T Iqbal, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Phehlukwayo strikes first blood! A much-needed one as the two were going great guns. Excellent bowling change by Faf. Phehlukwayo lands it on a length and around off, it pitches and then moves away. Tamim plays inside the line and the ball kisses the outside edge and goes into the mitts of de Kock. AP is delighted. Can South Africa build on this now?

11.4 : 11.4: C Morris to S Sarkar, OUT! In the air... taken! Good catch by Quinton de Kock. Once again, the change of bowling works for South Africa. Morris makes an impact straightaway after being brought into the XI. A good short ball and it is very well-directed. Sarkar looks to pull but the ball hurries onto him. It hits the glove and lobs behind towards the keeper. De Kock runs in, dives forward and takes it brilliantly. Sarkar trudges off slowly after getting a start. Both the openers now back in
11.6 : 11.6: C Morris to M Rahim, FOUR.
15.2 : 15.2: C Morris to Al Hasan, SIX! Not the most convincing ways to get the first six of the game but they will take it. A very well directed short ball on the body, Shakib is early in his pull and for a moment it looks like the fine leg fielder can get it. He runs to his right but he cannot get there and the ball just goes over the ropes.
16.5 : 16.5: A Markram to Al Hasan, FOUR! Cut and cut hard! Short and wide outside off once again from Markram. Shakib this time does not miss out on it and cuts it through backward point for a boundary.
18.5: A Markram to Al Hasan, FOUR! Pierces the gap nicely! Shortish and just outside off, Shakib waits for the ball to come to him and then cuts it past the diving point fielder for a boundary.
19.1 : 19.1: I Tahir to M Rahim, FOUR! Oh, dear! That is poor from Morris. Tossed up on middle, Rahim plays the sweep. It goes towards Morris at short fine leg but Morris lets it go through him and the ball races away to the fence.
21.1: I Tahir to Al Hasan, FOUR! When it goes your way, it just goes your way. Flatter outside off, Shakib intentionally runs it down past the first slip fielder and gets a boundary.

24.6 : 24.6: JP Duminy to M Rahim, FOUR! Started the over with a boundary and it has been ended with a boundary too. Duminy flights it up on off, Rahim gets on his front foot and drives it through covers for a boundary. Expensive start for JP Duminy. 10 runs off his first over.
25.6: C Morris to Al Hasan, FOUR! Top edge and a boundary! Luck favors the brave! Short and on the body, Shakib looks to pull but gets a top edge to the fine leg fence. Fifty up for Shakib. His 43rd in ODIs. A very important knock and he knows the job is not done as of now.
27.1 : 27.1: C Morris to Al Hasan, FOUR! Dragged away! Slower one and on off, Shakib swings but is a touch early in the shot, also one hand comes off the bat. He manages to get it over mid-wicket and a boundary results. Perfect start to the over.
28.4 : 28.4: A Phehlukwayo to M Rahim, FOUR! Up and over! Releases the pressure that was building. Also brings up his fifty in style. Short and wide outside off, Rahim hops, gets on top of the bounce and cuts it over point. 34th ODI fifty for him. He too will look to make it big.
29.4: I Tahir to M Rahim, FOUR! Easy pickings for Rahim. Down the leg side, Rahim sweeps it through short fine leg and the ball races away to the fence.
31.5 : 31.5: I Tahir to Al Hasan, FOUR! Another poor ball to release all the pressure that was building. A full toss and Shakib whips it over mid-wicket and bags a boundary.
32.5: K Rabada to M Rahim, FOUR! All going Bangladesh's way here today. Shorter and on off, Rahim stands tall and looks to poke at it. But the ball gets big on him and it flies off the outside edge to the third man fence.
33.6 : 33.6: I Tahir to Al Hasan, FOUR! The rub of green going Bangladesh's way. Short outside off, Shakib looks to cut but gets a thick outside edge, The man at short third man is standing wide and cannot do much but just get the ball after it has hit the rope.
35.1 : 35.1: I Tahir to Al Hasan, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Imran Tahir strikes! Produces the magic his skipper needed so desperately. End of the 142-run stand. Shakib moves right across and looks to sweep but the ball is very full to do so. He misses and the stumps behind is disturbed. Tahir is off in his celebratory run. Shakib walks back after playing a lovely knock. He has set the platform for the batters coming. South Africa though have a good chance now to pull things back.
35.4 : 35.4: I Tahir to M Mithun, FOUR! A gift and Mithun puts it away! A full toss on middle, Mithun slog sweeps it over mid-wicket and bags a boundary. Nice way to get off the mark.
37.4: A Markram to M Mithun, SIX! That was six the moment it left the bat. Short on middle, it was nothing more than a 'hit me' delivery. Mithun obliges and whacks it over the square leg fence for a biggie.
37.5 : 37.5: A Markram to M Mithun, FOUR! Six followed by a four now. Mithun over-corrects his length and bowls it full on off, Mithun was waiting for it and smashes it through mid on for a boundary.
39.4 : 39.4: I Tahir to M Mithun, OUT! Bowled! The 40-year young man is up and running again! Tahir gets his second wicket in his 100th ODI. The leggie bowls a wonderful top spinner on off, Mithun looks to slog sweep but gets an inside edge onto the leg pole. Tahir pulling things back for his side here. He did not start off well but has bounced back strongly. Bangladesh still have their main man, Mushfiqur Rahim out in the middle and they would hope he stays there till the end.
42.1 : 42.1: A Phehlukwayo to M Rahim, OUT! TAKEN! Another set batsman walks back at the wrong time for Bangladesh. 320 looks farfetched now. All the pressure built in the previous two overs has paid off. Andile Phehlukwayo gets his second. He sees the batsman coming down the track and bangs it short. Rahim had also made room so he cuts it hard but does not keep it down. It goes towards deep point where Rassie takes a neat catch. A fine knock comes to an end and Rahim is looking dejected as he didn't
44.5 : 44.5: A Phehlukwayo to M Hossain, FOUR! Nowhere near where it was intended but Bangladesh won't care. Short and outside off, Hossain looks to flat-bat it. He is very late in the shot. It hits the lower portion and goes over the keeper for a boundary.
44.6 : 44.6: A Phehlukwayo to M Hossain, FOUR! Picked his spot well there. Short and on off, Mosaddek smashes it down to the long on fence. Two boundaries to end the over and a much-needed good over for Bangladesh.
46.1 : 46.1: C Morris to Mahmudullah, DROPPED AND FOUR! An easy chance and it goes abegging! It has not been a good day in the field for South Africa. Morris bowls a good slower one and on middle. He is way too early in the shot. Ends up hitting it high in the air towards deep square leg. Rabada there is not exactly at the ropes. He has to turn back and run behind. He gets two hands to it but fails to hang on. The ball rolls over the fence. This could be a costly miss.
46.5 : 46.5: C Morris to M Hossain, FOUR! Pulled and pulled hard. Length ball on off, Hossain pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary.
46.6 : 46.6: C Morris to M Hossain, FOUR! Two in two! Full on off, Hossain clears his front foot and smashes it over covers to finish the over with a boundary. 15 off the over, just what Bangladesh wanted.
48.3 : 48.3: C Morris to Mahmudullah, FOUR! Runs leaking now! Down the leg side, Mahmudullah looks to pull but it goes off the glove and to the fine leg fence.
48.4 : 48.4: C Morris to Mahmudullah, FOUR! Over! Back-to-back boundaries! Bangladesh finishing on a high here. Short and on middle, Mahmudullah pulls it hard towards deep mid-wicket. The fielder there is was inside the boundary. It goes over him to find the fence.
48.6 : 48.6: C Morris to M Hossain, OUT! Morris finally has something to smile about. A handy innings from Hossain comes to an end. A low full toss on middle, Mosaddek looks to go over mid off but it goes off the bottom part of his blade to Phehlukwayo at the edge of the circle. A wicket to end but 14 from the over too.
49.1 : 49.1: K Rabada to Mahmudullah, SIX! What a start to the final over for Bangladesh. Full on off, Mahmudullah smokes his flick over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie.

0.5 : 0.5: M Rahman to de Kock, FOUR! Off the mark in style is de Kock. A bit of width outside off, Quinton crunches this drive away through point. Easy pickings for a batsman of this caliber.
1.2 : 1.2: M Hasan to de Kock, Edged and FOUR! Lucky there is de Kock! A flighted off spinner outside off, Quinton looks to cover drive this ball but gets a thick outside edge that flies well past slip and runs away to the fence.
3.3 : 3.3: M Hasan to de Kock, FOUR! Chopped away in the gap. Excellent shot. Flatter on off, not so short or wide but such is the class of de Kock that he rocks back and cuts it away in the gap wide of point. Such caliber!
4.4 : 4.4: M Rahman to A Markram, FOUR! Shot! Just a mere punch. A back of a length ball on off, Markram uses his class and solidity. He just uses the timing to get this ball through cover-point. The ball reaches the fence easily after beating the infield.
4.5 : 4.5: M Rahman to A Markram, FOUR! Mustafizur changes the angle but the result remains the same as the previous ball. A short ball on the middle and leg stump line, Aiden pushes this wide of mid on. The timing from Markram is so good that the ball wins the race against the mid on fielder with ease.
6.6 : 6.6: M Rahman to A Markram, EDGY FOUR! Spoils the whole over! Excellent delivery this. It is the cutter on off, Markram looks to go hard at it but then he looks to draw back. Till then, the ball takes the outside edge, goes through the vacant first slip region for a boundary.
8.2 : 8.2: M Saifuddin to A Markram, FOUR! This time he finds the gap! Back of a length outside off, such a classy punch by Markram through covers. The ball beats the ring of fielders on the off side and runs away to the rope. Such a pleasing sight to watch when he bats well.
8.6 : 8.6: M Saifuddin to de Kock, Leading edge and FOUR! That could have so easily gone to hand but the luck is going the batsman's way here! A back of a length ball on off, de Kock looks to flick this away on the leg side but the ball takes the leading edge as he closed the bat face too early. The ball though flies over point and runs away to the fence. The bowler cannot believe his luck!
9.4 : 9.4: M Hasan to de Kock, OUT! Run out! That too after a dropped catch! Rahim would be a really happy person here. A flatter ball outside off, de Kock looks to cut this away but gets a feather behind which Rahim cannot hold on to. The ball goes fine on the leg side and de Kock is watching his partner who initially calls him for a run. But seeing the keeper reach the ball quickly, Markram sends de Kock back. By that time though, Quinton is too far down the ground and has no chance of making it bac
13.3 : 13.3: M Mortaza to du Plessis, FOUR! In the air... but safe! Runs away to the fence. A short ball on middle, du Plessis decides to take it on and get a boundary. He pulls this but still does not get the elevation he would have wanted. It is just enough to clear the mid-wicket fielder who held out a right hand to take the catch. The ball races away to the fence.
15.3: M Mortaza to du Plessis, FOUR! Lovely placement! You need not run for those! Full and on off, Faf leans into it and strokes it past mid off for a boundary.
15.4 : 15.4: M Mortaza to du Plessis, FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries! Through covers this time. Short and on off, it sits up to be hit. Faf goes back and punches it through covers. This is turning out to be another expensive over from Mash.
17.4: M Saifuddin to du Plessis, FOUR! Caressed! Nothing wrong with the delivery but such is the class of Faf. Slightly outside off and on a length. Faf strokes it on the up through covers and the ball races away to the fence.
19.4: Al Hasan to A Markram, OUT! Straight through him! 250TH ODI WICKET FOR SHAKIB! And what a time to get it. His team needed a wicket and he has provided it. It is the slider and it lands on middle and comes in with the angle. Markram makes the mistake of staying back and trying to whip it. He misses and the stumps are disturbed. He walks back disappointed after getting off to a start. Game once again evenly poised. 229 more needed in 182.
24.5 : 24.5: M Hossain to du Plessis, SIX! What a way to get to your fifty! Leading from the front is the skipper but still a long way to go. Faf makes room and Hossain lands it short and on off. Faf lofts it off the back foot and over covers for a biggie. Shows how strong this guy is, not easy to hit that all the way.
25.2 : 25.2: M Mortaza to du Plessis, FOUR! Faf du Plessis may have decided to step on the gas here. He gets into position early and then plays paddle scoop to the fine leg fence. 5 from the first two balls.
26.4 : 26.4: M Hasan to du Plessis, OUT! TIMBER! Mehedi Hasan has turned the game on its head here! A huge wicket this. The South African skipper who was looking so good out there is taking the long walk back. Mehedi is very delighted and the Bangladesh players are ecstatic! The bowler slows this up and lands it on off. Faf dances down the track and looks to play a big shot but misses as the ball spins back in to hit the leg stump. Faf walks back after a top knock but his team needed him to stay longer
29.5 : 29.5: Al Hasan to van der Dussen, FOUR! Dragged wide! Not off the middle. Rassie comes down the track and looks to go over mid on. It goes off the inner half and through mid-wicket for a boundary.
31.6 : 31.6: M Hasan to D Miller, FOUR! Hit firmly and it races away. Miller goes down on one knee and nails the sweep through square leg. It gets to the fence in no time. The last ball once again spoils the over.
34.2 : 34.2: M Saifuddin to D Miller, FOUR! Poor delivery with fine leg up in the circle. It's short and down the leg side, Miller turns inside the crease and pulls it powerfully wide of the fielder inside the ring for a boundary. 200 up for South Africa along with the 50-run partnership between these two batsmen.
35.1 : 35.1: M Rahman to D Miller, OUT! Gone! Massive, massive breakthrough for Bangladesh and the crowd is going mad! Mustafizur this time angles in a length ball around off and Miller stretches forward to flick it on the leg side. But he closes the face of his bat early and the leading edge flies straight into the hands of Mehedi at point. He makes no mistake and this match continues to keep everyone on the edge. 129 needed off 89 balls.
37.4 : 37.4: M Rahman to van der Dussen, SIX! This has gone the distance! Right from the meat of the bat this time. Rahman serves it right in the zone for the batsman, Rassie lines up the delivery and smashes it over long on for a biggie. South Africa need more.
37.5 : 37.5: M Rahman to van der Dussen, FOUR! Looking to play his shots now, van der Dussen. Plenty of width on offer outside off, Rassie exercises his arms and whacks it over point.
39.1 : 39.1: M Saifuddin to van der Dussen, OUT! Timberrrrr! Yet another bowled dismissal in this innings and this is a body blow to South Africa. Full in length and in the line of the stumps, Rassie winds up for a big hoick across the line over the leg side but misses the ball completely. The stumps are shattered! Not a very smart shot attempted, must say. 103 needed off 65 balls.
40.2 : 40.2: M Mortaza to A Phehlukwayo, FOUR! Rocketed away! A shade overpitched and outside off, Phehlukwayo drills his drive through covers and the fielder in the deep can do nothing about it.
41.4 : 41.4: Al Hasan to JP Duminy, FOUR! Poor delivery, skidding down the leg side, Duminy swings his bat and nails his sweep shot behind square leg for a boundary.
42.1 : 42.1: M Saifuddin to JP Duminy, FOUR! Good start to the over for South Africa. A very full ball outside off, Duminy brings his bat down just in time and squeezes it out from the outside edge to the third man fence.
42.5 : 42.5: M Saifuddin to A Phehlukwayo, OUT! Outstanding catch under pressure by Shakib Al Hasan. The Bangla star shines again and Bangladesh are inching towards a win here. Nothing much in the delivery, a rank full toss around off, Phehlukwayo packs a punch through the line but fails to keep it down. Shakib reacts quickly at extra cover and goes down low to his left to take a sharp catch with a tumble. Saifuddin roars in delight!
45.4 : 45.4: M Rahman to C Morris, FOUR! This time Morris connects! Mustafizur goes for the cutter this time but the length is too short. Morris smashes it through the covers. There is a sweeper in the deep who sweeps the area to his right, dives but cannot get there!
45.5 : 45.5: M Rahman to C Morris, OUT! Caught in the deep and Morris departs! Mustafizur continues to have a terrific day. Short and around off, it is there to be hit and Morris hits. Pulls this with aplomb and on normal grounds, this would have cleared the ropes. but this side of the Oval is a bit long and Morris finds Soumya Sarkar at deep mid-wicket! Need not be the final nail in the coffin but the target is now looking very steep for the Proteas.
46.3 : 46.3: M Saifuddin to JP Duminy, FOUR! Saifuddin delivers a full ball around leg, Duminy clears his front leg and whips it through mid-wicket. The fielder in the deep rushes across to his right, dives and flicks the ball in also but then it rolls back onto the rope.
46.4 : 46.4: M Saifuddin to JP Duminy, FOUR! It's not over yet with Duminy still in the middle! Slower delivery, on the shorter side outside off at 104 kph, Duminy cracks it off his back foot through cover-point.
47.1 : 47.1: M Rahman to JP Duminy, OUT! Duminy drags it on and it's heartbreak for South Africa. Joy for the Bangladesh supporters. Mustafizur speeds in and digs in a short ball around off, JP walks down the track to play the pull shot but the bounce gets big on him and he ends up dragging it onto the stumps. Third wicket for the Fizz and the Bangla Tigers are roaring in this match.
49.1: M Rahman to K Rabada, SIX! High and handsome! A slower short ball outside off, Rabada turns on his back leg and dismisses it over mid-wicket for a biggie. Hmm... still some life left?
