Match over
0.0 : Right! Back refreshed? We are back because the next game in Dubai is upon us. Kenya take on Namibia in a clash which is a midfield fight. Both are on 4 points and will be itching to join Netherlands and Scotland on 6. If you missed, Papua New Guinea have become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. More importantly, they will feature int 2020 WT20.
This is a tussle between two evenly placed teams with Namibia faring slightly better on the batting front. Both sides have good bowling attacks, so it might not be a high-scoring encounter.
TOSS - NAMIBIA HAVE WON THE TOSS AND ELECTED TO BAT FIRST.
Namibia (UNCHANGED Playing XI) - Stephan Baard, Nikolaas Davin, JP Kotze, Craig Williams, Gerhard Erasmus(c), JJ Smit, Zane Green(wk), Christi Viljoen, Jan Frylinck, Bernard Scholtz and Ben Shikongo.
Kenya (UNCHANGED Playing XI) - Irfan Karim(wk), Aman Gandhi, Dhiren Gondaria, Collins Obuya, Rakep Patel, Shem Ngoche(c), Sachin Bhudia, Nelson Odhiambo, Lucas Oluoch, Jasraj Kundi and Elijah Otieno.
Scotland skipper, Gerhard Erasmus, says that he is looking to bat first as he feels runs on the board play a key role. On the team's position in the table, Erasmus says that the bowling has clicked but the batting has been inconsistent. Reckons that an all-round show is on the cards. On Namibia getting the better of Kenya in the African Qualifiers, Erasmus says that today is a different day.
Kenyan skipper, Shem Ngoche, says that he wanted to bat first but Erasmus did not allow them to do that. So now, he wants to chase well. Believes that the team is doing well and backs his side to maintain that. On him carrying on for a long time, Shem Ngoche smiles and says that Collins Obuya has been around much longer.
PITCH REPORT - Dirk Nannes has a look at the track and says it is horrible. Compares it to a drain. Sees that patch between long shades of grass and says that it looks to be a difficult track to bat upon but there will be runs on offer.
We are all ready for the all-African contest. Stephan Baard and Nikolaas Davin will open for Namibia. Elijah Otieno will start off proceedings to Baard. Here we go...

FREE HIT TIME!
E Otieno to G Erasmus, HALF CENTURY FOR ERASMUS! But what is going on? Kenya look rattled. A short ball, around leg, Gerhard pulls this behind square leg and comes back for the second. Wait. He is not done yet. The throw comes in, a wild one, well over the keeper. Erasmus spots that and calls his partner for the third who is already two-thirds down. The fielder who backed up the throw, collects and throws it to the bowler and Erasmus would have been short. But the throw is a high one and t
Wow. What a finish. 57 runs in the last 3 overs. 45 of those came in the last 2. 25 came in the final over. What happened to Kenya? They had the game under control but have perhaps let it slip at the death.
Kenya started nicely with the ball, dismissing Davin cheaply but then Baard and Kotze started to attack. That pegged the Kenyans back. But once the fielding restrictions were lifted, the bowlers started to come into their own. The choke started to work and things started to slow down pretty steadily till Craig Williams came along.
Williams targetted the skipper Ngoche in the 18th over and then went berserk in the 19th. Erasmus took a cue from him and went bonkers in the final over as Namibia reached a position of comfort from a position of doldrums. Rakep Patel was the only bowler who bowled all his 4 overs well, going for just 21 but no other Kenyan bowler was consistent enough to sustain the pressure.
Stephan Baard is down for an interview. Baard says that the wicket is very good in general. Praises Kenya for bowling very well after the first 6 overs. On the total, says that the wicket is a bit tacky here and there but the bowlers need to adjust their lengths pretty quickly. Advises his bowlers to hit the deck a bit harder and his spinners to vary their bowling a little bit.
182 to win for Kenya to keep their hopes alive of making it to the playoffs and subsequently, the 2020 WT20. Has the stand of 79 in just 32 balls for the 6th wicket taken that hope away? We shall find out after the break.

Actually, there is some problem with the communication as well. Aman starts to run but then changes his mind. Now, what has happened is, Karim has seen that start from Gandhi and continued running. Then, he looked up again and saw Aman stationary. Too late. He had to turn and scamper back. By that tim

182 was always going to be tough to chase, be it for Kenya or any other team and they never got off to a start. Lost Irfan Karim to a run out in the second over and it was all downhill from there. Only three batsmen managed to reach double figures.
Namibia looked confident right from the word go. They looked to have assessed the ground dimensions when their batsmen were batting and the bowlers bowled perfect lengths. Everyone bowled decently but the duo of Smit and Scholtz was terrific, with combined figures of 7.5-0-31-7.
Earlier in the day, it was a good batting display from Namibia. The captain had mentioned at the toss that they were happy with their bowling in this tournament but batting was something they needed to develop. It came good today. Kenyan captain, Shem Ngoche, believes that 181 was a pretty big total and laments the final 2 overs with the ball. Admits that there was no execution of the plans in those last 2 overs. Also rues the lack of starts with the bat, losing wickets at regular intervals. Eventually, considers this as a bad day of cricket and is looking forward to their next game vs PNG. On being asked about the plan for that match, Ngoche says that to forget this game but not repeat any mistakes. Further says that kee
Gerhard Erasmus it is again, to talk! This time in the form of the victorious Namibian skipper. Erasmus believes that it was a brilliant performance overall. First, he says that the batting set it up, with the captain himself scoring some runs. Then, the bowling did its stuff. On being reminded that the bowling was anyway doing well, Gerhard says that every day is a new day and you need to be good with both bat and ball on that day. On the confidence seeping through with a win over Kenya, Erasmu
