0.0 : Game no. 7 of this year's Men's T20 World Cup qualifiers and it is a clash between Jersey and Nigeria. It is a big moment for the latter as for many it is a surprise they made it till here. However, not a lot is expected out of them so they can play with the utmost freedom and you never know, they might just pull off a few upsets. They are up against a side in good form and are also favorites to win this game. However, this could be a tight contest. Stay tuned for the toss and teams in a while.

Jersey skipper, Charles Perchard says it looks a good wicket and he hopes to get a good score and he wants to put the opposition under pressure. States they have played here already and they have an idea about the dimension of the grounds and they are looking to carry forward their momentum.
Nigeria skipper Ademola Onikoyi says they wanted to bat too, it is their first time on this wicket and they want to do well. States they would want their players to step up to this occasion and make most of the opportunity they have got.
PITCH REPORT - Niall O'Brien says the boundaries here are big and it will be hard to come by so running between the wickets is going to be important. Dirk Nannes says it is not one a bowler would want to bowl on but it is a touch dry so the spinners might get some turn. Slower balls is the way to go and 150 should be a good score.

A power-packed batting display by Jersey! However, their batters were also helped by some horrible bowling by the Nigerians. They were all over the place to begin and were taken to the cleaners. A few of the Jersey batters should be disappointed with themselves as they did manage to get a start but could not make use of it. Greenwood and Jenner though did play well as their partnership has probably taken the score to one which one believes is way above par.
185 is the target now! Nigeria will have to bat out of their skins to chase this one down. The wicket is a little slow but still a good one to bat on but the Jersey players will be confident they can defend this one. Stay tuned for the chase in a while.

A one-sided contest and Jersey have beaten Nigeria by a comprehensive margin of 69 runs. The chase started for Nigeria on a good note as Ajekun scored runs freely in the first few overs. However, they lost two quick wickets in the fifth over bowled by Elliot Miles which gave Nigeria a very big setback from which they never recovered. Earlier in the day, the victory was actually set up by the Jersey batsmen as they put on a mammoth target of 185 runs in front of the Nigerians. They were always on the front foot from there on. The star with the bat for Jersey was Jonty Jenner who scored a half ton and everyone around him contributed as well.
Man of the Match, Jonty Jenner, says the conditions are pretty warm and it is good to get a shower after batting. Adds that they were trying to score boundaries in the first couple of overs and then run hard. He further says that they had to work harder than they thought and hence, he had to run off once the innings got over. Feels that this is a massive win for them and they are pleased with the way things went in their first game.
Nigeria skipper, Ademola Onikoyi, says it was a difficult game but they hope to learn, work harder and improve and he believes in his side that they would come back strong. States they will go into the next game with confidence and he hopes they can do better.
