0.0 : A warm welcome to the second T20I between India and Bangladesh in Rajkot. It is a do or die match for the hosts as the series could be decided here. India would look to improve their death bowling as it is a cause of concern for them. On the other hand, Bangladesh would look to finish the series here itself. They have a good bowling attack. PITCH REPORT - Sunil Gavaskar reckons that this is a very good pitch to bat on. Observes that there are some cracks but they will come into play only for a 4-day or a 5-day game, not for a T20. Is not too sure though about the outfield due to the rain, but believed that plenty of runs are on offer from the pitch. Believes that 170-180 should be the avarage score at this venue but the teams have to bat well.

Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, says that it looks a good pitch, as always is the case in Rajkot. Sees a few cracks but is not too bothered. Expects dew towards the end of the game which should make life easier for the batters. Bangladesh captain, Mahmudullah, does not believe that toss is too big a factor here as he feels that the ball will come onto the bat nicely, but also feels that his batsmen need to put up a big total on the board. On the elusive series victory, Riyadh agrees that it is a great opportunity for all the players, especially the youngsters to express themselves and hopes that they do well. He too, says that Bangladesh are unchanged from their previous game.

What is the verdict? 50 runs short, says one of our senior colleagues. Superb bowling by India. The dew is already seen present, so they will be very happy with this.
An innings which never got any momentum. Both teams started poorly, with India making a plethora of mistakes in the field. But then, Das got dismissed and that opened the floodgates. 60/0 became 103/5 in the span of 35 balls and the visitors simply could not get any chance to accelerate. Four batsmen got starts but could not quite take it deep.
Full marks to the Indian bowlers barring Khaleel Ahmed. Take out his bowling figures and Bangladesh might not have even got to 130. Every other bowler was frugal but the mistakes in the field let them down. They are actually lucky that Bangladesh did not make use of those - else figure this out. A stumping reprieve, a dropped catch, plenty of fumbles, overthrows - a good opposition would have probably got to 200. Sundar says that he is very happy to have restricted Bangladesh to 153 as India believe that par was around 180. On the secret of his own consistency in T20s, Sundar says that he just sticks to his own strengths and keep things simple. Adds that he is looking forward to more of the same. As expected, an easy win for the hosts. Rohit Sharma's 85 just made it very easy. Chasing 154, with dew around, Sharma made sure that there were no second thoughts on how to approach the chase as he just attacked from the word go.
The 118-run stand for the opening wicket coming in 65 balls was just the tone India needed. This is what they missed in the previous game. Here, they got the start and hammered the bowlers. None of the bowlers were spared with the exception of Aminul Islam who got both the batsmen. With the dew around, Bangladesh could not do much and they just caved in.
