It's a good score on the board, but you get the feeling that Hyderabad won't be exactly happy with that. They couldn't really accelerate in the death overs, which didn't allow them to get close to 190. Being asked to bat first, Hyderabad lost Bairstow early but Warner and the returning Pandey were on song. The duo made a century stand between them and scored their respective fifties as well. Warner got dismissed, but Pandey kept the fight going and remained unbeaten on 83. Just the fact that pos
Chennai will be pleased with how they finished the innings. Despite that early breakthrough, they couldn't capitalize and got taken for a lot of runs by the Warner-Pandey duo. Though, the fact that they got wickets towards the end at crucial junctures and gave away just 41 runs in the final 5 overs, should provide some momentum. Everyone was a bit on the expensive side in the Chennai bowling line-up, in which Harbhajan took 2 wickets and Chahar took the remaining 1.
Jonny Bairstow is caught for a chat with Darren Ganga. He says that he loved playing in the League this season and it was a very good experience. Reckons that it will be a tight game and says they have a good bowling attack which can restrict the opposition. Feels that the seamers will be crucial and if they can restrict the ea
So 176 is the target for Chennai. It won't be an easy task against the likes of Rashid and Bhuvneshwar, but the hosts have the batting attack to do it and the pitch looks a good one to bat on. Chennai's reply is not far away. So stay tuned.
