Windies captain, Rovman Powell, says that the decision is based on the fact that the pitch looks a good one to bat on. On his captaincy debut, Rovman smiles and says that it is a great experience and wants to win this series. Bangladesh captain, Mashrafe Mortaza, says that Bangladesh have been going alright this year, especially in this format. Wants to finish this year well now. On losing the toss, Mortaza says that chasing has been the forte. Then cheekily says that he is not s

Windies though, will back themselves to do some power-hitting in the later overs but they need to plan it out. In the next 20-odd overs, they at least need to get 4 runs an over and then get 100 in the

But the ball bounces a touch low and goes off the bottom of the bat. Still, the connection is decent. Liton Das is stationed at long on and for a moment, it seems like it will elude him. 43.3 : M Mortaza to R Chase, STOP THE PRESS. Finally something other than a single, a wicket or a dot ball has been recorded. Remember this ball - 31.1 - it was the last time that Windies took a couple. Since then, they have managed just 38 singles in 66 balls. On middle, Chase pushes it wide of long on and comes back for the second.

47.2 : M Rahman to R Chase, OUT! Caught! London looking, Tokyo turning, Dhaka beckoning. A short ball, around off, Chase swivels and looks to pull. But the ball comes ever so slightly and goes off the top edge. It goes straight up in the air and Mehidy Hasan at backward point takes it nicely. Decent innings from Chase under the circumstances.
Kemar Roach walks in at number 9, replacing Chase. Still, 16 balls left. Can the Windies get to 200?

Two balls left. One wicket in hand. Oshane Thomas is the last batsman.
49.5 : M Rahman to O Thomas, A length ball outside off, Thomas swings hard but misses.
49.6 : M Rahman to O Thomas, Another dot to finish. It is another cutter, outside off, Oshane backs away, looking to pull but misses again. WINDIES FINISH ON 195/9!
The Windies will be disappointed to say the least - 195 is not what one expects after electing to bat. But the fact that they were 127/6 with not many batsmen left to come will make them feel a bit better. Overall, they were consumed by the two-paced deck.
The openers took their time, biding out the spinners with Shai Hope keeping the innings steady. However, the collapse started at the fall of Bravo's wicket. The second wicket fell at 64 and the Windies then slipped down to 127/6, before a breezy 51-run stand between Roston Chase and Keemo Paul took them close to 200.
Poor batting effort from the Windies, yes, but one cannot fault them totally. They tried everything. First, they looked to settle in and then play their shots. Could not get much runs. Then, they tried Hetmyer's approach - slogging wildly and get quick runs, did not muster anything. It was during the Chase-Paul stand that the batters actually got used to the pitch but by then it was too late.
Superb bowling from Bangladesh. They concentrated on just bowling consistent lines and lengths and did not over-attack. They were not at their best on the field, dropping 4 catches, yet, it never seemed like they got frustrated. Mehidy and Shakib, who opened the attack, were economical while Mustafizur and Mortaza picked up 6/65 amongst themselves in 20 overs combined. Rubel also would have had a great outing but he lost the plot at the death. His first 8 overs went for 32 but his final 2 yielde
On the whole, 196 should not be too difficult for Bangladesh. But if Windies bowl well and take a few quick wickets, it will be interesting to see the response. Join us back at 5.15 pm local (1115 GMT).
