Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram continues to wreak havoc at the box office as the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has surpassed SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion to become the highest-grossing film of all time in Tamil Nadu. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in the leading roles with Suriya playing a cameo in the climax.

Sumit Kadel, a film trade analyst, took to his Twitter account on the night of Saturday, June 18, and shared the information as he wrote, "#Vikram becomes INDUSTRY HIT ( highest grossing film) in Tamil Nadu by surpassing #Baahubali2 lifetime collection ( 155 cr ). Vikram is the only tamil film to join 150 cr club in Tamil Nadu".

With this, as mentioned above, Vikram has also become the first Tamil film to enter the Rs 150 crore club in the state. The previous record of the highest-grossing Tamil film in Tamil Nadu was also held by Lokesh Kanagaraj's Master, the 2021 actioner starring Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.

Talking about the worldwide collections, Vikram has grossed more than Rs 350 crore at the global box office. Haasan, who has also produced the film under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International, recently revealed at the press meet in Chennai what he will do with the money earned from Vikram. "I will repay all my loans, I will eat to my heart’s content and I will give whatever I can to my family and friends. After that if I don’t have anything left, I will say I don’t have any more to give. I don’t have to pretend to help others by taking someone else’s money. I don’t want any grand titles. I just want to be a good human being", the legendary superstar said.
