In case you had not heard about it before, the Oktoberfest at Munich is the place to be if you like a big ol' mug of the brew. The 183rd Oktoberfest started on September 17 when the Mayor of Munich did the honour of 'tapping' the first keg of Oktoberfest beer.
It was first held in celebration of the marriage of the Bavarian crown prince Ludwig with Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen, in the year 1810, and has stuck since then.
The festival will be on till October 3, and will see visitors from all across the world travelling to the fairgrounds and make merry.
