The second session of the day was quite a tussle between Dhammika Prasad and the comeback hero, Cheteshwar Pujara. While Pujara stood firm at one end of the strike, Prasad and Sri Lankan bowlers continued to scalp wickets on the other end.
India are at 220/7 for their first innings. Not a very grand score given the strong batting line-up on the paper. The pitch and skill of Lankan bowlers gave no chance to Indian batting. Despite that Cheteshwar Pujara is continuing the battle single handedly. His play safe strategy is paying off very well.
Now the responsibility of scoring some or at least supporting Pujara lies with the lower order.
