Kolkata Knight Riders might have won the final on the pitch, but it was Kings XI Punjab who won the final on Twitter. According to the fan meter on the IPL offcial website - iplt20.com - for the match, #KXIP clocked 28,125 Tweets while #KKR had 23,085 Tweets.

The most tweeted moment of the IPL final was Piyush Chawla's boundary to seal the match and the tournament. Punjab's Wriddhiman Saha’s six to reach the first ever century in an IPL final was a close second, with Manish Pandey’s dismissal, Chawla’s match-turning six off Mitchell Johnson and Saha’s consecutive boundaries in the last over of the Kings XI innings the 3rd, 4th and 5th most tweeted moments.
