Move over biggies, watch out for Rajasthan Royals & Kings XI Punjab

The IPL has been won by teams lead either by an Indian or Australian. This trend looks set to continue.

The most successful team of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings, will pay the price for the superhuman success achieved by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The skipper has practically lived out his karma as a captain and sides led by him will find it tough to cross the final hurdle.

Kolkata's Gautam Gambhir has also tasted a lot of success in the form of two IPL crowns. That apart, he has been part of two World Cup-winning Indian teams (2007 World T20 and 2011 World Cup). The left-hander is unlikely to win another major title.

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is going through a rough patch and will find it difficult to emulate the success his team tasted in 2013. Delhi Daredevils are not astrologically strong enough to win such a mega tournament.

The coaches of these four teams — Stephen Fleming, Trevor Bayliss, Ricky Ponting and Gary Kirsten have been retained or hired for their past successes. Ironically, it's their past successes that hinder their quest for new glory as one cannot reap more than what is chalked out in the horoscope.

Astrologically, the biggest contenders for IPL 8 are Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab. Captains Shane Watson and George Bailey were born in 1981-82 with Uranus and Planet 'Y' in exaltation. Their horoscopes are exactly similar to that of Dhoni and Gambhir. But unlike the two Indians, these Aussies haven't enjoyed extraordinary success as captains. This is probably their best chance. While Rahul Dravid and Paddy Upton of Rajasthan Royals, and Sanjay Bangar of Kings XI Punjab have great horoscopes, they are still underachievers.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are also strong contenders. They have an astrologically well-balanced squad and skipper David Warner has a horoscope good enough to win big tournaments. The only Indian skipper who has a chance to win this time is Virat Kohli. It's only a matter of time before he starts winning big tournaments and this IPL could just be the start. Royal Challengers Bangalore can pose serious challenges to other teams.

So, IPL 8 would most probably be won by Royals or KXIP. Don't dare to ignore Hyderabad and Bangalore. But Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata have no chance at all.
