Will training youth to take the constabulary exam help policing?

Unsure if the measures will get support
These days many don’t find the prospect of being a policeman too lucrative. Youngsters are lured to take up high-paying comfortable corporate jobs. Also the manner in which, police are treated in our country is not very good. Their negative traits are highlighted often. At the same time, I’m sure that they want to do something for their country.

More such initiatives required
Candidates who are deserving should be enrolled. Having youngsters in the police force will make a difference, but they shouldn’t fall prey to corrupt practices. This will lead to better policing as they won’t be having preconceived prejudices about issues. They will be determined to bring about a change. This training should be spread across the city than just in a particular area.

Youth are aware about social issues
Being a part of the police force is a responsible task and respectable assignment, not everyone is capable of doing it. There are thousands of aspirants across the state who apply every time but only a handful can make it. Such training for minority youth is welcome since it gives them a fair opportunity. Today youngsters are aware of the issues that people are facing. They know about which local issues need attention.

Will reinforce their belief in the system
The fact that the law enforcement agencies have used their own funds and staff to provide this facility for youngsters is commendable. I’m sure there are many youngsters who are keen on joining the police force, but don’t know how to go about. Such training will encourage and reinforce their belief in the system. Such initiatives give minority community a fair chance.

Youth interest in social causes laudable
The police are doing great social service by devoting their time and training to young ones. It’s good that young boys and girls in the city are interested in being a part of the police force. The type of training that they will be getting and how seriously they take the whole exercise matters. Along with being physically fit, police personnel need to be mentally stable as well.
